I have these Gray Ghost and use on the beach and in salt water, they get wet with ocean water, sounds great, no issues. had them over 5yrs on my CTX-3030 .
Good to hear these are as good as the other Grey Ghost for the DII. Been waiting to hear your thought on them, now just need to pick up a pair. Thanks for the review and keep them coming they are Very informative. Have a Great Day.
Glad to hear they are loud! I always liked them for my CTX3030 and Equinox but they were never loud enough for the beach. These look like they might be great!
Funny thing about bone induction. I was installing them for a Telco over 40 yrs ago. Had people so deaf that on 10 they heard nothing. I tested them and just picking them up I could hear in the middle of my head. Hey Rocky! Great vid as always Scott.
Thanks Steve, I wouldn't mind trying a set just to see what they are like. Rocky says hello as he just took off with my Duncan Donut coffee lid. #struggles :-)
Thanks for the info - I have a brand new never used $160 Gray Ghost I bought for my Nox 800 that sounded so bad I threw them in the Nox box and forgot about them - also the ML Bluetooth phones that came with the Nox Died during the second charging - I had a cheap (LETSCOM Bluetooth Headphones IPX7) behind the ear I bought for a scanner that have the clearest best sound of over 10 headphones, including over 4 Bose models I have tried so far - I would need to try them before I would buy another pair -
Any idea why you need to choose the bone conductor setting, instead of the other wired headphone setting? Is it because diving headphones use a “buzzer” instead of a cone speaker?
Thanks for the question, I actually use several machines on the channel such as the Equinox, GPX 4500, CTX 3030, Simplex, Legend and others. My goto depends on what I'm doing. I like the Legend for its features price and now performance. But prefer the Deus II because of its weight, configuration options and because I really know that machine. But I prefer the GPX in hot dirt looking for Civil War relics etc. So it just depends like I mentioned above.
@@MentalMetal So do you think the Legend is on the same detection level as the D2 ? I really like how you cross reference the terminologies between detectors that helps a lot . Thanks 👍
I don't think the Legend is there just yet, I still prefer the D2 over the Legend but then again, I'm very used the D2 since I owned the original Deus. Nokta is cramming too much into the Legend and putting it in weird places making my head hurt remembering how to engage the new updates (which are fantastic btw). They are really trying to improve that machine and I have to give them credit for that.

I hope you sent everything back in to be replaced or to get your money back. Minelab has a pretty good warranty.
Have you used the WSA2 XL wireless headphones yet? Could you do a review comparing the Gray Ghost Platinum and the WSA2 XL wireless headphones?
If I can get a pair I certainly will.
Can you use pitch tones with these or only square tones because it's on the bone conduction setting?
Can you confirm if pwm audio is available using these ? With the bh01 it dissappears in the menu. Thanks.

No idea Kenny just following the instructions from gray ghost.
I notice on your channel you feature Deus II and Nokta Legend ... Which do you prefer to hunt with and why ?
