I believe...and correct me if I'm wrong. This may be THE FIRST documented case of someone actually finding the chain AFTER the pendant was located lol. I've been doing this for 15 years and NEVER found the chain once. GOOD JOB!
If your non-waterproof metal detector ever gets wet...first thing is to turn it off (if you can) then immediately remove the batteries and dry them off. Then remove the electronics from its case, clean it off and let it totally dry. Then reassemble. Many times you luck out and save a good detector...
That gold chain is elusive because of the faint, low response signal. That's because of the chains small details in its construction. Many people will not even check those signals. I found one gold chain and I knew it was in the area. The signal was basically identical to your chain signal. Nice work.
Well done on the chain...buy yourself a new pouch, before you start losing gold..determination is all you need to find gold..but the better the machine, the more you will find,
I need to take it to a bigger beach to give it a real test but I'm thinking it should run pretty stable if it's got the Vanqush / Equinox multi-IQ. Good luck out there!
How cute was the pink paw. ☺ It was good to see that the sand flattener didn't scoop up much of the surface, leaving the treasures in tact. The one on our beaches here actually sifts the sand to remove 💉and stuff, so it probably scoops up most of the treasures, as well.
I'm pretty confident that your Jesus figure is made of (white Gold), because it would have to say that there is also 925 ( sterling) as well. I don't think they would mix junk metal with precious metal. Great Hunt and congratulations on all your finds. 🙂👍
@byronhewitt3463 you're correct, any bi metal jewellery should have both stamps. Also the reason junk metal isn't combined with precious metals is that you physically can't join them. They simply won't solder together. Silver & gold can be soldered no problem. It's much easier to solder 2 golds though because the melting temperature is much closer

Hey Austin. Awesome finds. It's a great feeling when you know your finds have paid for the detector...and on the first outing! By the way, from what I can tell on Minelab's website, the X-Terra Pro coils are compatible with the Elite. So your v8x should work on the Elite also. My Elite hasn't arrived yet, so haven't confirmed myself.
You got to pay or get a pass for all the beaches in my area too, it sucks, there's a couple beaches within biking distance of me but they are all lousy beaches
Some smaller beaches you can get parking permits for a year which helps out with cost if you go there a lot. But some of the bigger beaches you end up spending $30 to park for a couple hours and find a couple pennies lol. It's still fun! 🏖
