9 MIN WAIST TWISTING DISC WORKOUT l 11 effective exercises with TUMMY TWISTER PLATE (NO REPEAT)

    Today I decided to do a workout using waist twisting disc (also known as magnetic trimmer, ab twister disc, precision rotator disc etc.)
    We all have some fitness equipment that we rarely use or do not use at all. And there’s nothing wrong with tools like tummy twister. Sometimes it’s just not obvious how to make the whole workout with it interesting and diversified.
    So, I came up with 11 different exercises with figure trimmer which may make your workout flow less monotonous. Most of the exercises can be done even without a jogging plate, but with it it’s just a bit more fun!
    It should also be stated that almost all the exercises include core rotation and affect side abs (oblique)!

      Hello! Actually I prefer doing wasting disc workout as a warm-up for my 1-hour daily training routine (cardio+strength exercises with weights), and it helps me keep myself in my current shape. So, if you're a total fitness beginner waist twisting disc might give you some boost in results. But if you're already doing workouts quite regularly, cardio or running might be more effective, at least from my experience =)

      I've bought my waist disc over 20 years ago actually, so unfortunately I don't know where to buy the exect same one nowadays. There's no lebel on my model, all I can say is it's made of solid metal

      From my experience it's absolutely possible to to reduce side fat using twister disc if you're are beginner and your body is not acostomed to fitness. If you've been doing other workouts regularly, doing twister exercises at faster tempos would still remain benefitial. But, it's really important to pay attention to your technique and keep balance

      Unfortunatelly, from my experience it's really hard to tell the certain results in pounds from the twisting disc only, because usually I use it as a warm-up tool before the actual 1-hour long workout. If you are a total beginner in fitness, tummy disc session can help you loose couple of pounds since it's nice and relatively easy cardio workout. Of course, we all are different. For me, for instance, 30-min evening running works best in terms of weight control.

      There are different concepts related to eating before workout. Personally I prefer doing workouts (especially active cardio ones) at least 2 hours after eating, when I'm not hungry but still have enough energy to complete the exercises =)

      If you're a beginner it's a good place to start, still I would recommend more specific hips workouts with weights and regular running routine for at least 30 min several times a week. This made a real difference for me personally!

      I'm doing my best making full body exercise sets with the disc, but I think it's still more effective for toning abs. Speaking of losing weight, actually it depends on how regular, intense and how long your training sessions would be

      Speaking of diets, personally I do not follow any now, though I tried a few of them over the years and had only a short-term results. Now I just try not to have a meal after 7 p.m. Still, I can allow myself a cup of coffee in the evening. Also, I'm not a dessert person. Anyway, everything is personal, it's always better to check with a professional nutritionist.

      I think, in most cases for people who lead mainly sedentary lifestyle 9-minute workout daily might not be enough, still it's better than nothing.
      To control weight more precisely I prefer calorie counting. First 2 weeks I eat what I'm used to, writing down all calories consumed and checking my weight daily. There are many free apps for that. If I see that I continue gaining weight, I reduce the amount of consumed calories by 100 a day, until my weight stabilizes for at least a week. Once I find that calorie-balance spot, I can control my weight by choosing my workout plan and my daily ration. Anyway, this method just works for me, but everything's individual, and it's better to get a doctor's consultarion first of all.

      To be honest, I don't think so, especially if you're looking for the quick results. From my experience, running is super effective in terms of hip & thigh shaping =)

      Depending on what results you want to get from it. If you're a beginner and your goal is to burn 100+ calories, warm up and tone up your body a bit, it totally works. But if you want to have a body of a young Cindy Crawford, well... at least I didn't make it =)

      It might be some results if you haven't been into fitness or sports before. From my own experience, I prefer doing a bundle of different workouts every day (40 minutes in total) in the morning + 30 min of running in the evening. That's how I lost 39 pounds.

    Please could you tell us which disc you are using cos mine does not rotate so smoothly as yours for the floor exercises

      Unfortunately, there is no lebel or mark on my disk which could help me find out any information about the manufacturer. However, the essential thing, in my opinion, is that my disc is made of metal, and could be oiled up any time if any problems appear. Once I tryed a plastic disk and, honestly, it was rather unhandy and had similar issues as you've mentioned.

      Try spraying some WD40 on it. It probably needs to be oiled up a lil bit to rotate smoothly.

      I really hope I've translated your question correctly, Manuela, and I wish there could be an easy answer to it! Still, I noticed that the system of factors works well for me: to control weight more precisely I prefer calorie counting which applies both to workouts and food intakes. Cardio exercises and daily running help me slim the waist down a lot. And strength exercises with weights are good for toning and shaping the muscles.

    Should have checked the surface.I started doing it like you with hands placed...twister slipped,..and I hit the twister with my face down..hurt nose and bruised chin are what I am nursing ..

      Hello! If you're asking how long does it take to get first results from these exercises, it really depends on your fitness level. If you are a complete beginner and have never been into workouts before, I guess, first results might be noticeable after 2-3 weeks of regular training sessions. But if you are experiences enough and got used to do different workouts almost every day, waist twisting disc is more like a tool to enliven your routine and involve slightly different muscles.

      Hello! As I mentioned somewhere in the comments below, I usually do these exercises as a part of my 40 min everyday workout. I also prefer changing workout sets from time to time just not to get bored. So, it's difficult for me to say what might be the effect of this particular workout in pounds. But I can definitely claim that after 20 min of waist twisting disc my obliques actually cried for help =)
      When we talk about losing pounds as a primal goal, for me nothing has been more effective like an intense cardio workout or 3-4 miles of jogging.

      From 70 to 100 calories in 9 minutes, depending on a pace chosen. If I've understood your question correctly =)

      I bought my disc twister 20+ years ago, so my recommendations might be a little out of date. However, if I were buying one today, I wouldn't consider a plastic disc. Once I've already had a bad experience with it. It was fragile and used to seize up from time to time, which was really annoying. My old disc is made of metal and it is rather heavy, solid and reliable as a brick =)

      When I got it years ago it was really cheap and, honestly, I don't regret buying it at all. I think it's a good tool for beginners, but I doubt that doing only tummy twister workouts can guarantee miraculous results, for instance, in terms of losing weight. As for me, I try to make my workouts versatile just not to let my muscles get used to certain exercises. So for me tummy twister is mostly an option not to get bored in cardio-abs-stretch routine. So to buy tummy twister or not is totally up to you! But if you'll decide to get one, please welcome here on the channel next tuesday. I will come up with a next tummy twister episode!       I bought mine many years and it's made of metal. So, I've done a brief seach now and found out that similar model costs around 12$

      It might be helpful if you want to tone up your obliques mostly. However, in my workouts I'm also trying to involve core, arms and even legs to some extent. Actually it really depends on the exercises you choose.
