    I’m 70yrs old and have been doing core holding like this, plus trying to have good posture since my twenties. The last two years I’ve had two spinal surgeries because of injuries when I was younger. My surgeon damaged the right side of my lower spine while working on the left so not only is this helpful for a stronger core but is helping me to strengthen my lower back! Thank you again Dr. Mandel, you’re a blessing! 😊🙏🏻

    I have an umbilical hernia, and it’s been very hard to do exercises to tighten /strengthen my abdominal muscles without hurting it further. I just tried these and I can totally do these without hurting my hernia! Thank you so much Dr! God bless you!

      Go do your surgery done for hernia I had once and I know how it feels to have a hernia but the Mercy of God and best surgeon I am free now. Without doctors no one is gonna help . May God help you my friend.❤❤❤

    Very convinient exercise. You can combine it with any daily activities, riding a bike, walking, standing, reading, sitting and so forth.
    You do not have to set aside an extra time slot for this. Ideal for busy people. Dr Mandell is sensational.
    I'm 65 years old but am convinced that it's not too late. From Paris

    My chiropractor showed me how to do exercises for my low back, but I appreciate this so much. Some people can't get on their knees to exercise, but this core exercise is easy and doable for everyone. I've watched you for years and you have never steered me wrong.     Thank you. In 2010 I had an unsuccessful 3 disc lumbar fusion. I’m not blaming anyone because I probably waited too long. Ever since my stamina due to many autoimmune issues has decreased and my weight has increased. I did attempt walking and swimming but I also have had 3 knee surgeries. I’m 73 now and I have been trying to find something like this exercise to help build core muscles that don’t twitch my spine or bend my knees.

    I'm actually thin and I've always had a fit body but, in the past couple of years I've been having this bulging tummy that is really bothering because of lack of excersize. I have been doing this for three days now. This is actually working! I hope I can get my flat tummy back, I'm already seeing changes in my waist. Thank you.

      @@marieglenn8175 I actually felt and in fact could see real tightness around my waist. It took just afew days to notice a defined line is back above my stomach area. It's been a month or so and there's another. The stomach bulge is not gone but, it seems to have gotten smaller a bit and I could feel it but, again the biggest change so far from this exercise has to be around the waistline.

    Thank You Dr. Mandell ❤ I'm 53 years old and I haven't been in the gym since 2011. 😮 My life had become a crazy roller coaster ride but I'm over it! I recently started following you, which has really inspired me to get my body back into shape. Although it's been a while. I have had 2 children in the 90's, both C-sections, a son and a daughter, I noticed that it's a little harder to lose the belly fat from my waist. Is there anything I can do to help me with that pooch? Or should I just focus on eating a healthier diet in combination with these exercises? I know with age, it's getting harder to lose weight. Hard to believe that I was such a disciplined athletic person when I was younger. I was so into gymnastics, I played soccer, I lifted weights and had 2 aerobic classes every day. 😅 I was also about to model for Hawaiian Tropic, right after high school, but my boyfriend at the time, wasn't having it. 😢 Since I've been single for 3 years now, I've been gradually working on myself in all areas of my life, cuz I've changed my perspective about who I am now and I'm not done living yet! I almost feel like I have a second chance, a purpose now and I am very grateful to have found your channel. ❤ Everything is finally coming into alignment with what I want to be. Yey Me!!! 🎉 ~M.P.

    I have a fractured back and no core strength at all after some past surgeries so, I truly believe doing this daily will help as my posture is terrible too! I’ll come back in one month to report to you! If you don’t see me, hit me up about it incase I forget or get sidetracked!👏👏👏

    This method is effective. I’ve been doing it for a year. Especially after every meal, i rest 10-15minutes then start to contract my muscles and hold it in a flat manner not fully in the ribs part. Thank you dr. for giving us this info. 😊👏🏻

    I do it, while on my run, it does help, people forget to engage their core in all workouts. They should do it while lifting weights too. Nicely put together video.

    These are the easiest and most comfortable ab exercises I have ever experienced..used to do crunches and my body didn't like them a bit cuz my lower back would get very stiff afterwards.

    I have an unusually long colon. My doctor told me after being challenged doing a colonoscopy on me, therefore, my tummy will never be flat. I can only make it flatter. Since I'm a post menopausal woman, my tummy is a lifetime battle. I appreciate any and all exercises to tighten it.

    Stomach vacuum works! Just do it consistently with exercise and a low sugar/carb low processed food diet and I promise you that belly will go down.

      I rarely eat highly or medium processed food. My diet is very healthy. Interestingly enough, I'm overweight because I don't eat enough, so I'm finding I have to eat more. Now I'm losing weight.

    This method is awesome! I am a twin mother. My abdominal muscles had been weakened by the childbirth. It is a good way to exercise my core muscles and to relieve my back pain. I'll exercise it daily!

    Well this is called Kapalbhati pranayam,one type of yoga we are practicing here in India for ages.Thanks for not mentioning it.

      Stop confusing the exercise...it's not kapalbhati, that involves breathing out.
      Not everything originated in India....if it did...then why does everyone run to western countries...😮

    Absolutely worth it and absolutely works. Took me 3 days to see results after 5 days 2 inch reduction. I went from 30 inches to 28 inches

    Ive just started rucking! Grab any old backpack and put a 2, 5, 10 kg weight in and off you go walking your normal walk.
    For your own health google the weight to carry. I did 10kg 1 week ago today and cut back to 5 for the rest of the week and i feel amazing, my back feels amazing my legs feel amazing i think with Dr Mandells video this will be a great assett.

    Hey Doc, You are a remarkable, passionate person who truly cares about our well being. I watched this b/c my labs were off the chart this visit from holiday decadence, etc. I'm going on a cruise very soon & would love to reduce a couple inches. I love swimming but due to recent surgery I have to watch out for germs. Thx for your tips & demos.

      Isometrics. Being doing for over 30years. Get up from desk job chair one or more times per hour.
