Reminds me of native americans for some reason, and NAs were known to be warriors. Plus giving it the Fire typing will help not only with its ability and flamethrower it can use, plus it helps turn the quad weakness Fairy into a normal weakness, cause for some dumb reason they gave Moraidon Dazzling Gleam. @Emperor Cubone #6 It is funny that that Pokémon isn't Steel, if you look at it that way. #5 Haha, yeah. Why is that Pokémon Dark? #1 Triple Type: Wow! Is that so? Not bad triple Types to have for those three Pokémon. That would make them really good. I liked your video. Keep up the good work. Thumbs-up :)
I can see what you mean with Lokix, but locusts are usually associated with devastion like plagues. In addition with how powers in Kamen Rider work Dark type does make sense. But it leads way too much in Fighting moves to me it should have been one too. I know triple types may never be a thing but Lokix deserves Fighting type too.
Interesting video, as usual. I forget though... How often have you talked about pokemon who would actually be helped by being pure typed? We know some pokemon types are strong on their own, but I know there's some types that just don't help the pokemon by being paired together. I haven't played too many Pokemon games, and with as many bugs and glitches as are in Scarlet and Violet, I feel like I dodged a bullet by not getting either. (No one wants to play a game that has a bug that will literally delete ALL of your progress for just one innocent mistake after all.) But I know there's got to be a few new pokemon who would be helped by taking away one of their types. Or is that video going to be out pretty soon?
Mmm, the closest to that I've done is probably the Pokemon whose type combinations get worse when they evolve, but not a hypothetical removal like you're talking about. It could be interesting to do sometime though!
@2:09 Why would a steel-type Sandy shocks be 8x weak to ground? Ground is not weak to ground… @11:20 Wurmple is not actually a worm, but a caterpillar.

I still personally believe Orthworm shouldn´t be bug type, almost every other bug Pokemon is an arthropod. The only one that shouln´t be bug is Shuckle. Orthworm was most likely made mono steel so it would have less weaknesses when you have it with it´s ability eartheater. Add ground, it would now be weak to water, it would just be worse off..
@@nickdentoom1173 That really depends on how you use him in battle and I didn't mention them being better against each other (starter vs starter) but in general battle against any other Pokémon. There's a reason Skeledirge is used in some excess alongside Meowscarada in OU while Quaquaval is doing great in UU.
I could be wrong but, I don't believe Sandy Shocks would have an 8 times weakness because each type would have to be weak to Ground and Ground is not weak to Ground.
2:40 If they were gonna make Sandy Shocks not have the steel typing, they should've at least made Sandy Shocks' orbs, screws and magnets replaced by stone spheres, pebbles and rock plates to look somewhat ancient.

I would have made Koraidon as well as its Signature Move, Collision Course, the Fire Type instead, as Miraidon summons terrain that boosts one of its STAB Types, including its signature Move, Electro Drift, so Koraidon being boosted by Sun would fit.
Iron Moth deserves 5 typings i.e. 1. BUG (its litterally a moth) 2. FIRE (already have) 3. POISON (already have) 4. STEEL (from which it is made) 5. FLYING (float despite not having levitate)

I never got the typing for Koraidon. It cant take advantage of its own ability terrain/weather like Miraidon's electric STAB and terrain boosted special move taking full advantage of it. It always struck me as some kind of oversight to me.

I know this is a little out there/ reaching a bit, but Finizen could be Water/ Ghost/ Bug type (because I found three Finizen in some raids. Two were ghost terra, and the other one was bug terra). I'm trying to think outside the box here!
The other two types don't fit it at all. Thinking outside the box is nice and all but it won't always lead to logical decisions. If there was a triple type of this guy, then it'd likely be Water/Fighting/Whatever else works type.
@@GoinGreninja It would work if you think of the Finizen dying and it's ghost lives on spiritually and has buggy antennae and wings. But I guess it's not a very good image. So yeah, it's Rekt+Roach. Its pre-evolution is Kekroach
@@_Podzilla_ Oh, I know the general idea behind Clover. I don't know much about it (it's supposedly really good if you ignore the _questionable_ humor) and I don't particularly care about it, besides the music. The music's good from what I've seen.
Emperor has been around for a while...
Too bad he doesn't have 1M+ subs :(
Maybe one day. But I'm just happy to excel in views compared to peers of my size, at least it means people are watching!
@@emperorcubone Yep I get it, you get a lot of views compared to your subcount, 100k+ views on average is extremely high! Glad you realize about your channel's potential tho.
Why an 8x weakness to ground?
First Pokémon that comes to my mind and deserves some more attention is Flygon. Especially after is mega evolution got scrapped it should get a third type. Dragon, ground, and bug. It already looks like a bug
I like to believe that all future Pokemon are man d made tool with a Pokemon theme. For Iron Moth, I can't see it becoming a bug for that reason. Maybe the reason why they're not steell maybe because they're all made of plastic perhaps
Maybe it is poison because of the battery acid since it's a solar panel
I got a Dark terastal Grafaiai and used it so much I just assumed it was poison/dark after some time. It's design and behaviour makes it seem like a dark type to me, and I think it learns 5 dark moves by level up?
That's funny, I almost included Grafaiai as Dark on the list! It makes sense to me as well...
It's just a vandalizer. Does it make sense for such a petty crime to leave them with the type most associated with evil?
@@GoinGreninja it's no less 'evil' than Pokémon like Alolan Meowth, Alolan Raticate, Absol, Masbosstiff, Grimmsnarl etc. Vandals seem to fit with petty thieves and generally mischievous mons that seem relatively common for the dark type
@@brandonm8901 I agree that Absol doesn't fit the conception of the type well but I still must say that it's not entirely necessary. Normal/Poison is a pretty good utility type and it fits well for a utility Pokémon, I'd say.
@@brandonm8901 Mabostiff is based on a Mob Boss though, hence the Dark/Evil type.
Electric ground steel is actually only x4 weak to ground
I'm not entirely sure how giving sandy shocks steel type makes it 8× but okah
How about a Grass-Dark-Psychic Meowscarada? It's a MAGICIAN! A magician who would be EXTREMELY afraid of bugs...
I agree; I actually almost put that exact one on the list because magic really is tied to Psychic most of the time...
I could argue Koraidon getting the Fire type and not Ground, plus one good way Fighting works for it is it's plumage on it's head. Talk about fair -_-'
Fire/Dragon/Fighting
x2- Flying, Ground, Dragon, Psychic, Fairy
x1- Normal, Fighting, Poison, Rock, Ghost, Water, Ice
x1/2- Steel, Electric, Dark
x1/4- Bug, Fire, Grass
4:28 I really thought you were going to say Quaquaval should have been a Fairy, and I thought we were gonna have to cancel you like Netflix when your hours get cut.
Many of the birdmons this gen are based on water birds, so they could be water type as well:
Flamigo - Flying/Fighting/Water
Bombirdier - Flying/Dark/Water
Kilowattrel - Flying/Electric/Water
Bombirdier could even get away with a quadruple Flying/Dark/Water/Rock type, as it drops rocks from the sky.
Yeah, Rock type Bombirdier almost made it on the list. If it had more physical attributes for it it would be clenched for sure!
2:09 don’t you mean x4 weakness
7:51 Maybe the Fighting type’s correlation with travel could stem from running/climbing/ far distances without breaking a sweat
8:37 Slither Wing should have been Bug/Dragon
@Emperor Cubone
#6 It is funny that that Pokémon isn't Steel, if you look at it that way.
2:06 ground isn't weak to ground, so it's 4x weakness instead of 8x
Ground is not weak to ground…
@11:20 Wurmple is not actually a worm, but a caterpillar.
wouldn’t the ground/electric/steel type sandy shocks only have a 4x weakness to ground? you said 8x a lot but ground is neutral to itself and then electric and steel are both weak so thats 4x, right? or am i just wrong and completely insane
How would Sandy Shocks have an 8x weakness to ground? Only electric & steel are weak to ground
How is sandy shocks with steel type 8x weak to ground? How is ground weak to ground?
Koraidon should have absolutely been Fire Typed. It would make use of the sun setting it's used for.
Why would sandy shocks have an 8x weakness to ground?? Ground isn't weak to ground
Also I don't think earthworms are labeled as insect or bugs to begin with
6:09 Do people really say this? Quaquaval is the only starter final evo I like from this gen! Why is it so unpopular?
Because Meowscarada and Skeledirge look cooler and are also stronger battle wise.
@@GoinGreninja Skeledirge isn't stronger than Quaquaval battle wise. First off, Skeledirge is slower and Ququaval can learn Aqua Step and Aqua Cutter.
@@nickdentoom1173 That really depends on how you use him in battle and I didn't mention them being better against each other (starter vs starter) but in general battle against any other Pokémon. A tank is just as valuable as a head on attacker, in some cases, even more so because of its Unaware ability and the overpowered move that is Torch Song. There's a reason Skeledirge is used in some excess alongside Meowscarada in OU while Quaquaval is doing great in UU.
Personally, I don't have a problem with Quaquaval. I just don't like it as much as the other two
@@nickdentoom1173 Skeledirge is actually better in competitive.
Wsit why is it x8 weak to ground shouldn't it be x4?
Kamen Rider One was created by the evil organization Shocker and escaped, fitting the Dark type.
I could be wrong but, I don't believe Sandy Shocks would have an 8 times weakness because each type would have to be weak to Ground and Ground is not weak to Ground.
Ah yes, the Dhelmise theorem.
Except Dhelmise's typing actually makes a lot of sense since it's supposed to be the seaweed and not the anchor.
@@GoinGreninja could be part water too but it's fine as-is
These videos are always fun
wouldnt it be 4x ground on sandy shocks, ground isnt strong against itself
2:40 If they were gonna make Sandy Shocks not have the steel typing, they should've at least made Sandy Shocks' orbs, screws and magnets replaced by stone spheres, pebbles and rock plates to look somewhat ancient.
Or even glass from super heated sand!
Electric-Ground-Steel would not be 8x weak to ground, just 4x. Ground is neutral to ground.
If Sandy Shocks was alsosteel-type , it would have a 4x ground weakness, not 8x.
Can you do a video on ranking all the evil teams?
I'm confused, why would Sandy Shocks be 8 times weak to ground? Wouldn't it be 4 times? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I see no reason for the 8 times weakness.
My guy just asked why a locust is dark type
Agree about the list, disagree that Magneton "goes by Sandy Shocks now." They're two different pokemon. They've always been two different pokemon. And the pokemon that does "go by" Sandy Shocks is Sandy Shocks, bc that's how names work.
I do wonder when people will fully understand what Paradox Pokémon truly are supposed to be. I know he said it in jest but some will take it serious nonetheless.
@@GoinGreninja They probably won't understand until it's officially spelled out for them.
So a few more months to a year until the DLC drops, then.
How would an Electric, Ground, Steel type be 8x weak to Ground? Ground isn't weak to Ground... its only a 4x weakness...
Tinkaton could totally pull of dark it's one thing to hunt Corviknight, quite another to turn him into your weapon to hunt more!
I know that they have that lore, but Corviknight resists both Steel and Fairy attacks, so I don't see how they knock them down...
Now gameplay wise Corviknight demolishes Tinkaton with Body Press
@@Squirtle_Squad_Supremacy tinkatons run tera blast electric swords dance 90% of the time so youd be both right and wrong, depending on what uses what set
I believe the only reason Corviknights lose in the fight against Tinkaton is because they're surprisingly docile for what one would think of them. Of course if they wanted to, they'd definitely win. Same is somewhat true with Bisharp and especially Kingambit also.
i thought you would make koraidon fire instead of ground but it still fits
I could see both! Just turn it into a Fire/Ground type!
Sooooooooo, I'm I the only one that got caught off guard from the new intro??? Gives off a fan made Pokémon series, superior touch!!!!!!!
Should Have Past and Future Paradox Pokemon be introduced as the First Triple or Quadruple or Quintuple Type of the franchise?
I could see that being the case! I mean they were meant to be these weird unknowable creatures, so three or four types would make sense.
Its crazy how many pokemon in this gen could have three types
Iron Valiant not only could but should be a Psychic Type, the Occulture magazine says that "this is in fact a robot, the product of a mad scientist's efforts to create the most powerful Psychic Pokemon of all"
It could've been but it's not. It's a madman's ambition burning too bright, leading the experiment to be a failure one way and a success in a different way.
I would have made Koraidon as well as its Signature Move, Collision Course, the Fire Type instead, as Miraidon summons terrain that boosts one of its STAB Types, including its signature Move, Electro Drift, so Koraidon being boosted by Sun would fit.
Flygon and Drapion are pokemon that come to mind when thinking of triple typings as both should also have the bug typing given they are both insects.
Wouldn't Sandy Shocks only be 4x weak to Ground? Electric and Steel are weak to it, but Ground is neutral to itself.
Sandy Shocks would only be quad weak to Ground, not octuple weak, Ground isn't weak to itself
Iron Moth deserves 5 typings i.e.
1. BUG (its litterally a moth)
2. FIRE (already have)
3. POISON (already have)
4. STEEL (from which it is made)
5. FLYING (float despite not having levitate)
Kamen Riders can be evil... OH SO VERY EVIL IN THE RIGHT CONTEXT. Isn't that right, Build Hazard?
Sandy Shocks would “only” have a 4x weakness to Ground. #nitpicking
2:07 I didn’t know that ground is weak to ground
These are some WILD takes, my guy. Koraidon is ground type because it runs on the ground?
... or koraidon should be FIRE to go with its aesthetic and ability, its super weird to get a sun setting ability yet not get any stab assisted by sun.
Sandy shocks is 4 times not 8 times lol
A bit petty... but you probably haven't heard of the "dark/evil rider" archetype in kr media... wouldn't have too much of a problem with lokix being fighting but i love the 'mon as-is too.
With Sandy Shocks, since when is Ground weak to Ground? It's only a 4x weakness to Ground, not 8x. Also, it's 400% vs. (presumably) 800% damage.
I never got the typing for Koraidon.
It cant take advantage of its own ability terrain/weather like Miraidon's electric STAB and terrain boosted special move taking full advantage of it.
It always struck me as some kind of oversight to me.
It's like they intentionally design a legend to be inferior, or at least at a disadvantage every time. (Groudon, Yveltal, etc...)
For Koraidon I thought that it would be a fire/dragon type or a fighting/dragon/fire triple type.
It's Dragon/Fighting type because it represents how civilizations were powered in ancient times, with pure muscle. Before electricity, pulleys and many other simple machines made ancient people create amazing structures that still stay up today.
But neither is Galarian Corsola and Cursola. It would be more difficult to combine a dolphin with a bug, unless it's body is infested with bugs. But that is kinda gruesome to think about. But where there is a will, there is a way to fuse Finizen with the bug type. I just hope said fusion wouldn't kill it, like Parasect. Maybe it would be a zombie-like bug ghost dolphin that lives in the water. It would definitely be a more creepy pokemon fusion. It is nightmare fuel. Big yikes!!!
@@ClefairyFairySnowflake As you yourself said, it's beyond gruesome. Some ideas deserve the chopping block, no matter how interesting it'd make things because it'd ruin the vision of the games.
@@GoinGreninja I suppose it is best to stay away from such vulgar fusions of types. Some fusions are best unmade.
@@ClefairyFairySnowflake Quite indeed.
Emperor, have you ever heard about the POKÉMON MASTER TRAINER RPG version? I think you should check it out! BTW, another awesome video, thx!
I have not actually, I'll have to see what it's about. And thank you!!
Idk, I don't really see the Super Sentai origins in Lokix. I always thought it looked more like a plastic action figure. 😅 Plus, Koraidon totally looks way more like a flying type to me, considering the feathers and the wings that it gets when you glide on it.
should triple weakness really be just 300%? I assumed it would be multiples so 400%...
still don't know if that matters 200% to 400%. 200% weakness seems kinda lethal already, meaning increasing to either 300% or 400% doesn't matter. fainted is fainted you know. but 400% feels better to me.
Uh, I'm pretty sure Ground isn't weak to Ground.
6:15 Skeledirge and Meowscarada could gain the dark type and the fairy type respectively
Bug is an even more restrictive label than insect
Exactly. Insect allows for arthropods, arachnids, crustaceans and a few others while his labels are even worse. Also, worms aren't exactly insects...
Wait, really? People hate Quaquaval? He's my favorite starter. I was under the impression that he was just overshadowed by the other Paldea starters but was still solid.
Orthworm being pure steel made its ability eartheater useful and unique, giving orthworm the ground type makes its ability seem like water absorb on a water type
Sure but... most Pokemon with Water Absorb ARE Water types...
