It supposed to counter darkrai while in reality darkrai hits her super effectively lol. Should been changed into fairy along with celebi and the lake trio.
Yes! This is what i was looking for! Darkrai would be able to deal super effective damage (Ghost VS Psychic) while Creslia would also be able to do the same (Fairy VS Dark). The only slight advantage Darkrai would have over Creslia in this would be that Dark types are immune to Psychic, while Psychic/Fairy is not immune to dark type attacks (although the fariy type does resist so, normal damage). Still, it's a great matchup!
In my opinion, Uxie should've been steel type, mesprit should've been fairy type, and Azelf should've been fighting. It goes well together with their titles and forms a type triangle between them.
As was mentioned in the video: Uxie=Pixie, Mesprit=Sprite/Spirit, Azelf=Elf. (Fun fact, the "el" in "elf" is the same as the "el" in "eldritch," and also shares its origin with the "al" in "alien.")
Just because you want them to be different from each other doesn't mean you can freely give them whatever type you want. What you suggested is nonsense and doesn't even remotely fit their origin and appearance at all. I mean, Uxie = Steel how? XD face it, they're all fairy.
Carvine to me seems like dark type would fit well with it as it does look quite sinister and the plant its based off isn't exactly known for being friendly to its prey.
Sound = normal type, so Kricketune should be Bug / Normal Luxray sounds more like a Electric / Psychic type to me, they can look through walls and are based on sphinxes which are very wise like most psychic types. Rampardos is an obvious Rock / Fighting type, Pachycephalosaurus are known for their fighting.

Ngl Psychic/Normal Ambipom doesn’t sound like the worst idea. It is all about dexterity, which has relations to the mind, it has psychic colors and just overall feels trippier than your average normal type.
Poison type for Munchlax. This may sound weird, but I would've given Darkrai the Fairy type as its second type as well, while it is well suited for Ghost, Darkrai's control over Nightmares gives it some magical element to it as well. Plus Cresselia and Darkrai aren't really rivals, it's very possible that they are actually friends, and it was Cresselia herself that ushered Darkrai to New Moon Island. Also, for the Lake Trio, I would've given these types: Uxie: Psychic/Dark (or Ghost) Mesprit: Psychic/Fairy Azelf: Psychic/Fighting
02:57 - Water is the best choice for Bidoof. Its connection to Water is expressed in its Move Pool and in its Breeding Groups, which are two aspects that you really shouldn't neglect in this kind of creative exercise.
I could personally see Carnivine being Water/Grass. Its body looks like a fishing bobber, It has leaves similar to plants that live in the water, the tentacle dangly things are actually owned by many marine plants, and the head seems similar to a lily pad.
I think Rampardos should be fire type. Call me crazy, but it would be cool to see a fire type that isn’t made with warm colors. And with the fire type being in such short supply in Sinnoh, it would be nice to have access to a fossil that has the type.
I know they have a lot of Flying type moves, but since Mantyke and Mantine are also Water/Flying, I'd go with Bug for the second typing on Finneon and Lumineon. They get access to some good Bug type moves too!

It's so easy to confuse Manaphy for Psychic; They're the regional Mew clone, which in all other cases is a psychic-type, And it has Heart-Swap. (It's psychic-type and neither of its users are that type!)
It wouldn't exactly make much sense but I think Arceus being Normal and Ghost would be pretty neat. Would mean as the almighty pokegod, it completely resists 3 types and the only weakness it has would be dark, and having gods only weakness be the type associated with evil seems a great opportunity

Hi Man thanks for this series I love it a lot!
This may sound odd but I’d give Darkrai fairy type. It’s a spookster connected with the fairy-oriented moon.

Knowing that i have a new vid from you to watch when i get home from my 10 hr overnight shift every week is phenomenal. Brightens things up after the start of the week night shift

+Adding the ghost type would make creslia's fairy type it's only weakness while still havin an advantage over cres
Honestly, I don't know why gamefreak is so afraid of changing their legendaries typings. I mean cresselia should have been fairy from gen 6 and up.
@@angeldude101 It's moreso reflecting on their themes
Uxie: Knowledge/Wisdom
Mesprit: Emotion/Courage
Azelf: Willpower/Power
Honestly I'd cheat and give Arceus the ??? Type especially considering there actually is a ??? Type Arceus in the data
Like your vids! Love the dual series!!
This video is how I learned Manaphy isn't water/psychic.
Didn’t realize that this video came out 12 minutes ago lol
I am here 18 minutes after this was released!
S/O to the most underrated poketuber!!!
I would've made Arceus a Normal/Dragon Type instead of Fairy due to its three primary children (Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina) are all Dragon type.
Yeayyy another part of this what if videos..! Terima kasiihh..!! (Thank you). Greetings from Indonesia🇮🇩🇮🇩, Your Imperial Majesty 🙌🙌
I think kricketot line should be normal because normal is usually associated with sound (exploud, jigglypuff, etc)
Carvine to me seems like dark type would fit well with it as it does look quite sinister and the plant its based off isn't exactly known for being friendly to its prey.
Sound = normal type, so Kricketune should be Bug / Normal
Luxray sounds more like a Electric / Psychic type to me, they can look through walls and are based on sphinxes which are very wise like most psychic types.
Rampardos is an obvious Rock / Fighting type, Pachycephalosaurus are known for their fighting.
My onlt reason for saying Luxray doesn't need the Dark type is because nothing about its pokedex entries hit at it being evil. Just because it looks edgy doesn't mean it is evil imo
You’d be surprised how many people don’t understand what the dark type in Pokémon really means
@@nazeersadek6705 Because most non-Japanese players don't know that it means the Evil type in Japanese. It makes sense why they would make the mistake of thinking Luxray looks Dark Type
This one is the best one of the series.
Not too many Fairies or Ground Pokemon.
Although Pacharicu should be Normal.
Lol pacharicu
04:07 I can't believe you gave Luxray's Dark type 3 stars. Sure he looks edgey, but there is nothing sinister about him.
A lot of other dark types aren’t sinister either, like Absol, Greninja and, Incineroar
@@adamswirls Absol warns you of disasters, Greninja is a ninja and they are known to use dark tricks and techniques and Incineroar is based on the heel wrestlers who don’t play in a clean way like the ones in WWE
Finally someone who understands what the dark type in Pokémon means cheers Tom
@@adamswirls Actually Incineroar & Greninja do have prominent sinister elements in their origins:
Greninja is based on a ninja, which where assassins. Murdering people for money is pretty sinister.
Incineroar is based on a "heel wrestler", which is a villainous or antagonistic character in professional wrestling.
And as for Absol, you're right that he is not sinister, but he also proves my point that being Dark type is not about being black.
@@nazeersadek6705 Well I can't take to much credit, I've been brain-washed by Lockstin.
The cherrim line having fire is great. Just give it explode or something and call it a cherry bomb.
Aipom- Normal/Fighting
Ambipom- Fairy/Fighting
Buneary- Psychic/Normal
Lopunny- Psychic/Fighting
Why Psychic?
@@sabercat5490
I would've said Fairy, but the whole idea with Lopunny was that it can make foes dizzy by dancing and fighting around them.
Much like Spinda's swaying and teetering gimmick
Kricketune looks like the poster boy of the sound type if it existed.
Exploud
I honestly for the longest of time up until a few years ago thought that Carnivine was already a Grass/Poison type, but nope it was pure Grass-type.
The Kricketot line should have been dark since crickets usually come out at night
Wrong definition of "dark."
I love Empoleon and I love that Emporer Cubone likes the Piplup line. Most people rate it as its 2nd or 3rd fave Sinnoh Starter.
Nah, it's totally the best! Even when supposed getting destroyed by the other two starters it has a pretty big fighting chance and could OHKO either one back...
@@emperorcubone not to mention it looks cool. Its the whole reason i love steel types as my fave Pokemon type
Ah yes, because the Pokemon whose name is literally "Lightlight" and has X-ray vision should be part Dark purely because it has black fur.
Thank you, I'm glad you understand...
I'm loving this series so far always wanted this
Well you have excellent taste in starters...
Thanks empoleon is my favorite to
For cricketot and -tune I'd go bug/grass. Most instruments that their design uses are made out of wood. And wood is obviously a part of the grass type
Kinda always figured that Luxray doesn't really fit the dark type on the personality level. Yeah it looks scary but that's where the "it should be dark type" ends. If anything a typing for it's X-ray vision ability so maybe Psychic or something.
Exactly you’d be surprised how many people don’t understand what the dark type in Pokémon means
Shinx line: Based on light
The entire fandom: WHY IT NOT DARK!?
Well I tried to make all Sinnoh pokemon dual type and got some matching, here is the list of them who didn't match
Turtwig and grotle - rock
Piplup and Prinplup - Flying
Kricketot and Kricketune - flying
Shinx- Normal
Cranidos and rampardos- steel
Pachirisu- fairy
Buizel and floatzel- fighting
Cherubi- Normal
Cherrim overcast- dark
Cherrim sunshine- fairy
Shellos- ground
Ambipom- grass
Buneary- fighting
Lopunny- fairy
Mismagius- flying
Purugly- fighting
Chingling- fairy
Munchlax- fighting
Hippopotas- Normal
Hippowdon- dark
Finneon and lumineon- fairy
Lickilicky- poison
Magmortar- poison
Leafeon and glaceon- Normal
Porygon-Z - Psychic
Uxie,mesprit and azelf- water
Phione and manaphy- fairy
Arceus- Psychic
Ngl Psychic/Normal Ambipom doesn’t sound like the worst idea. It is all about dexterity, which has relations to the mind, it has psychic colors and just overall feels trippier than your average normal type.
Wait, Dusknor’s NOT a dark type already?
Right? It just makes sense...
8:40 I think Chingling is better suited as normal since normal is the stand in for sound type and the same can be said about the kricketune line
This is a great video, so please ignore how the host ends each of his sentences with a weirdly deep last word, and give this video three *STOHRRRS*
It's perfect to make the Finneon line part flying type because they do have butterfly wings.
that could also mean Fairy
@@jgr7487 it would be cool if the Finneon line did had the fairy type.
@@pinkprincess6136 Lumineon (from the Latin for light) does sound like a mon that should have Dazzling Gleam
@@jgr7487 oh that's a good information and it's interesting too.
Poison type for Munchlax. The other pokemon notable for eating is Gulpin, a poison type, and Belch is a poison type move that would fit on Munchlax
Would also consider psychic type since Snorlax is known for sleeping, rest is a psychic type move, and Munna/Musharna- pokemon associated with dreams-- are psychic too
If Cubone doesn't know what type to give a pokemon he'll give up and just give em normal or ground
And that's a promise!
I 100% think that darkrai should be dark fairy since its not necessarily evil it doesn't want to give people nightmares
Then porygon should have been given fairy too.
I would personally make carnivine a flying type so it's super effective against bug. After all, it's based on a Venus Flytrap
Also, for the Lake Trio, I would've given these types:
Uxie: Psychic/Dark (or Ghost)
Mesprit: Psychic/Fairy
Azelf: Psychic/Fighting
02:57 - Water is the best choice for Bidoof.
Its connection to Water is expressed in its Move Pool and in its Breeding Groups,
which are two aspects that you really shouldn't neglect in this kind of creative exercise.
Wow I was actually thinking about when this video would be coming out yesterday.
June 7, 2021
The answer is almost always a Tuesday...
Since Porygon2 is a wall and Porygon-Z is a special attacker, I think your type assignments work shockingly well!
Bravo, three stars!
I could personally see Carnivine being Water/Grass. Its body looks like a fishing bobber, It has leaves similar to plants that live in the water, the tentacle dangly things are actually owned by many marine plants, and the head seems similar to a lily pad.
One of my favorite series in all of Poketube. Gonna be sad when it’s over
I think carnavine could be a dark type instead but either way they should make it a bit better so I could give it a chance
I think Rampardos should be fire type. Call me crazy, but it would be cool to see a fire type that isn’t made with warm colors. And with the fire type being in such short supply in Sinnoh, it would be nice to have access to a fossil that has the type.
It has literally no reason to be a fire type
I know they have a lot of Flying type moves, but since Mantyke and Mantine are also Water/Flying, I'd go with Bug for the second typing on Finneon and Lumineon. They get access to some good Bug type moves too!
The sudowoodo line is actually rocks that are formed near dead trees when they get fossilised so they are still plant related so the grass type is a good idea
Heck super cell did it in his famous ROM hack pokemon Radical red
I always used to think Carnivine was Grass/Ghost, so I'd go with that, personally. Loving the series, by the way. 😊
Huh, that'd be interesting, but may I ask why? I kind really find anything ghostly about it...
@@emperorcubone I don't know why I thought it, but I used to be constantly surprised that it was just Grass type. Maybe due to Levitate? And its swooshy tentacles? Or maybe because it's on Route 14 in Kalos, near the Scary House? Whatever the reason, it gives me a macabre, ethereal vibe that I think would suit the dual typing. 🤓
I thought Tangrowth should’ve been part Rock type. It’s got Ancient Power and is bulky.
I'm for some reason always convinced the chingling line is part steel.
Cant wait to see you do unova lol. Thats a huge region full of pokemons.
Yeah, it's honestly more than I thought would be single typed...
Purugly always looked like it could be an electric type that uses blue
electricity to me probably because of it's whiskers.
8:05
i kinda think it’s a bad thing cause it has a 4x weakness to 2 types being ghost & dark, but overall it really fits mismagius
06:16 I'd give Cherubi & Cherrim the Fairy type.
Sweet fruit and festive pink flowers, it's cliché but it works.
It's so easy to confuse Manaphy for Psychic; They're the regional Mew clone, which in all other cases is a psychic-type, And it has Heart-Swap. (It's psychic-type and neither of its users are that type!)
That's so true, Mew, Celebi and Jirachi were all Psychic before that, so it would've fit...
It wouldn't exactly make much sense but I think Arceus being Normal and Ghost would be pretty neat. Would mean as the almighty pokegod, it completely resists 3 types and the only weakness it has would be dark, and having gods only weakness be the type associated with evil seems a great opportunity
As a kid I used to think that Floatzel was water-dark. From memory I think it used a few dark types and it did look a little sus
Arceus as a duel type not an octodeca-type 🥴🥴🥴
