When I first played Pokemon Gold, I wondered how we were able to see Gastly without a Silph Scope seeing how in Gen 1. you have to have one to battle Ghost Pokemon and Cubone's Mother.
A very interesting concept for sure, and has me really fascinated! I know Clear Crystal can let you play Kanto with gen 2 starters and vice versa, but to go through the entire game with encounters from another region is truly fascinating and has me excited to see more stuff like this, not to mention wanting to try it out for myself!
while making the video i'm working on next i found a yellow sableye. for videos thats about it however in my travels i have found many despite never once hunting. i do however want to shiny hunt poliwag one day.
Let's do Hoenn Pokemon in Johto: No particular standouts for Falkner Bugsy probably wouldn't appreciate Taillow or Beautifly Makuhita, Aron, and Combusken would be very difficult for Whitney to deal with Morty would get thrashed by Mightyena worse than Umbreon Chuck would have to contend with Swellow and Pelipper Jasmine would be in serious trouble Pryce would be basically hopeless Clair would have to contend with Altaria and Vibrava, which can hit her Kingdra with STAB Will struggles Claydol and Flygon destroy Koga Flygon would destroy Bruno Blaziken and Medicham would roll Karen Walrein would probably bowl over Lance Blue and Red have balanced teams, so there's really nothing they can't handle in a vacuum
This video is very fun but I feel like you should give yourself some time to breathe and slow down. Also u think it would be good to just use one song throughout the video rather then stopping and starting the same one. Very interesting and fun I hope you do this again with the Gen 3 Pokémon
ok three points there. i'll try using the one song instead of restarting every fight next video and see how it looks. but i dont think theres any point doing gen three pokemon in kanto as id just be making the same points again. mabye i could throw gen 3 or 4 pokemon into hgss though. i wonder what would happen...
Waaiiiiit a sec.....if u started with the grass type starter (Chikorita), Blue should have Charizard (or Typhlosion) *sus* Title: "Johto mons are toooo broken for Kanto, heres why" actual Video: *clears everything just with Starmie from Blaine onwards*
i also used totidile against brock. the point was to show what pokemon would be best in each context. and also it doesnt matter as starmie beats them anyway. the point of the video was playing the game with johtos encounter tables, not just johto pokemon, otherwise i could have used houndoom or scarmory or whatever, which could have been a fun video in and of itself to be fair. the issue is the dificulty of comunicating exactly what i'm doing in a title that is also snappy
it would probably be somewhat good. the issue is tyranitar only evolves at level 55 so you can only use them for the pokemon leuge which contains loreli, who despite being very weak to rock and dark can flip that weakness back on you thanks to tyranitars low speed with water moves and bruno, who is an obvious pain. but it also contains agitha who would definitly fear a dark type and lance, who you mabye have sovewhat of an advantage against thanks to hit flying types. oh and it would beat a lot of blues pokemon like pidgeyot and alakazam and arcanine and venusaur (bacause you can stall solar beam with protect if the ai sees the kill) and charizard but would also lose to a lot like blastoise and exegutor and gyarados and rydon.
unlikely. part of the issue is power creep. hoenn has more diverse pokemon than kanto. even with the reballanced lets go encounters your probably neutural at best. the lack of dark types will make tate and liza more difficult for starters. you couldnt sweep brawly with a ghost type either. and the lack of early game shroomish makes roxane terrifying for charmander players, even more so than brock. although thats not to say there are no losers. i cant imagine flannery and juan will be very happy about your acess to fire and water imunitys and winnona might not be very hapy about all the ice types you get.

oh? i'll have to look into it.
why did that sound like an ai i swear i'm a real human
@@Lightheartt Nah I’ve heard way worse before xD
Did you know? The metagross line completely sweeps the B2W2 mid to late game.
no i didnt actualy. i will keep that in mind
Have you ever encountered a shiny during one of these? Either way, have a lovely day today.

Scyther is in the Game Corner though
true i forgor
but then again noctowl is lame and would be less cool to use
Also balb is the worse Starter besides chika 🗣️🤣
It is but only in Fire Red. In Leaf Green it’s Pinsir instead.
Let's do Hoenn Pokemon in Johto:
No particular standouts for Falkner
Bugsy probably wouldn't appreciate Taillow or Beautifly
Makuhita, Aron, and Combusken would be very difficult for Whitney to deal with
Morty would get thrashed by Mightyena worse than Umbreon
Chuck would have to contend with Swellow and Pelipper
Jasmine would be in serious trouble
Pryce would be basically hopeless
Clair would have to contend with Altaria and Vibrava, which can hit her Kingdra with STAB
Will struggles
Claydol and Flygon destroy Koga
Flygon would destroy Bruno
Blaziken and Medicham would roll Karen
Walrein would probably bowl over Lance
Blue and Red have balanced teams, so there's really nothing they can't handle in a vacuum
honestly relitively fair tbh
Why Flygon specifically for Bruno?
@@hessiankyojin Flygon is quite fast, has Flying coverage, and Ground STAB
@ What advantages does it have against Bruno compared to all the rest of the Hoenn mons?
@ it can hit both onix and all the fighting types for weakness. tropius and peleper are also good for this reason but kinda suck in general
So this is why they won’t let us use future evolutions for a Kanto Remake
Hope you'll have a good day

Sounds fun! @
@@hash8169 if you want bad editing i have that in spades. :)

I knew starmie is strong but wtf
wait till you hear about sharpedo
Good video, though I can't help but feel like I'm listening to a Plague von Karma video. Only difference is the voice.
as a plauge von karma fan i will take that as a complement
Awesome video.
Honestly just get an Alakazam or Gengar and you can literally wreck the game with calm mind and recover anyways
gengar learns neither of thouse moves
How about using Tyranitar on FRLG?

beware of organized gangstalking
?
Would the inverse be true in hoenn
what do you mean? i dont understand the question.
@Lightheartt would kanto destroy hoenn (emerald) or not
