That counselor sounds sketchy as hell. First of all: I'm fairly certain a professional would never react in that way. It's unprofessional, and a counselor should know better than to call someone a bad person for not wanting to meet with their stalker. That's victim blaming, which is something mental health professionals are taught to never do. Second: isn't it bad for the person's mental health to encourage them to engage with their obsession in any way? Idk I don't trust that counselor isn't Jen herself or someone she coerced into helping her.
Janice Alleyne you would be shocked to believe how common unprofessional counselors and therapists can be. now, im not talking about all, because there are plenty of great counselors but i've had to leave so many crappy therapists. the mental health system no matter what country can really suck and be more of problem causer than a place to go for help if you arent in a good area for that kind of thing.

Keep in mind that counselors are not psychiatrists, and many barely receive any real training besides a few classes. Some truly dedicate themselves to the work, but many just take classes for a better paying job and that's as far as their dedication goes.
That being said, stalkers have a tendency to try just about any angle they can find, including posing as someone else.

I was at WalMart. I was around 6 years old. This lady who worked there looked at me and kept following me and there parents. When I was in the toy section alone the lady said, "Seems your parents are gone. Come with me and I'll take you to them. They have been calling and I think you're the child." I was terrified so I ran to the next aisle, where my parents were. She made a big mistake when she said, "Come to me, you're parents want you". My real parents heard this and I called out "Mom!! DAD!!!" And she froze. My parents looked at her, confused and angry. We imeadiently left the store.
I was at a mall once and I got lost in a sea of people then this gross man came over (I was like 5) and he was like "come with me little girl" and I just stared and then he FUKIN PICKED ME UP AND WAS CARRYING ME then me being not that fukin dumb so I started flinging around and kicking and screaming so my parents heard and yelled "hey what the fuck are you doing?!" So he dropped me literally dropped me and it hurt! (Obviously) and he ran this brang the memory back and I'm now just thinking what would have happened if I didn't scream.......

A couple of weeks ago whilst I was swimming there was this female lifeguard who was staring at me. Like, for the entire lesson(20min). She stared at a couple of my friends as well, from different angles. Although this is most likely nothing, the way she stared.... It was freaky as hell.
I'm so glad swimming only lasts 5 weeks at our school.

The story of Jen is very sad, but quite true. Some people can suffer from such bad self-esteem that they can fixate on a particular person that can possibly give them the guiding focus they need. And those who ponder on this for many years are mentally stuck, alone, and looking for help in all the wrong places. It takes years to recover from obsessive mental illness. And many of these people either end up killing themself or the person they fixate on. Such is still the case with Mark David Chapman, who obsessed over the great John Lennon, only to murder John later.
Fuck Jen. Crazy bitch should have been locked up forever.
Doesn't change that fact that she was insane and deserved to be in prison.
Jen was a dangerous person. She threatened the author's little brother who was nothing to do with it. The councellor who told the author that he was a terrible person needs to be sacked. It's an unprofessional thing to say. He wasn't responsible for Jen's suicide.

izayoi2006 Some states do take it very seriously, it just depends where you live. That is something I don't like about America, I feel like a law should be a law and the punishment for breaking it should be the same no matter what state you are in.

funny thing about that, when you're a girl and I really unattractive guy does the exact same thing as stalking you and blaming you for being not attracted to them, it's just a scary because what you're facing is apparently what's inside too. Exactly what I thought! I mean, it's already strange that they let a random person enter the school. They didn't even check if he really was her uncle ( or, at least, call the parents to make sure her uncle really should have come to pick her at school ). But, after the girl told them he wasn't her uncle and showed signs of distress around him, they didn't even bother to call the police?!? Probably he ran away after that, and probably they didn't even spot him outside the school, but, at least, they could instruct the girl to immediately call for help if she saw him at school again and they could also give a physical description of him.

I've watched all of Lazy's videos by now and I think that first story might be the most horrific on this entire channel. Especially with the counselor telling the narrator he's a terrible person... that part fills me with rage every time I hear it.
My all time favourite Lazy's video. I really enjoy stalker stories. I started to listen scary stories a year ago and these were the first stories I heard... Love you Lazy!

The first story took two decades to explain? A stalker for two decades? Damn, this girl must be pretty messed up. I used to have a stalker in middle school. I'm 16 now and she stopped stalking me freshman year and moved on, even having a boyfriend now. Glad I don't have to deal anything like the first story lol.

I've made a habit out of watching your videos while I do my school. I got in trouble once or twice with the teacher, before I started home-school. She came over and saw I was listening to something, she thought it was music, and asked me for my headphone so she could listen to make sure it was appropriate. It was one of your college horror stories videos. She called my parents then and told them. My mother was fine with it, she'd listen to them once before with me and said it was ok for me to listen to. My dad was furious because he'd listen to them with me and thought there was no problem with me listening to them if I had headphones. Then, I was later taken out of the school, because of problems with bullying, and my mother said I could listen to them if I paid proper attention.
Listening to these videos actually helps me concentrate and keep me from being bored out of my mind. :)
