This reminds me of the missing Sodder children from West Virginia. To this day, not a trace of them. Their house burned too. RIP Ashley and Laura. 🙏

I was imagining the very same thing. Heartbreaking & needless. Dr. Grande described it well, how one decision can lead to multiple unintended consequences. LE’s ambivalence regarding the case did not help.

I saw this story on one of those network crime shows. The fact that the insurance card was ignored boggles my mind.
The cops repeatedly do these kinds of things. When they hone in on whatever theory they have, they choose to ignore anything that would lead them off that path.
What a nightmare those poor girls had to endure! The mere thought of it is too much to bear.
Those 3 men had these 2 girls for 2 weeks and did everything they wanted to them

What really disturbs me is the Police Response to these missing girls. These girls were still alive for a few weeks, but no police were looking for them with urgency. That is truly heart wrenching.
And the cops found the address on the insurance card at the crime scene.
I’ve heard a lot about this story; never thought Dr. Grande would cover it. So so sad and extremely scary.
As an Oklahoman, this story has haunted us for so long. RIP Lauria and Ashley.

It was partially covered by a sheet of plywood type paneling that had fallen off the wall of the trailer. The investigators never bothered to figure out what that large, human sized pice of "debris" under it was. When the Freemans went out to see if they could find clues investigators might have missed (guess they had a good hunch about the quality of investigative work), Mr. Freeman lifted the edge of the sheet by himself because it wasn't heavy and realised that what was under it was a human body.
It makes me sick to think that the investigators didn't admit after that that they were obviously making huge mistakes and call for assistance from the state, the FBI, etc. If they had done so, it's possible that Lauria and Ashley could have been rescued. I have to wonder if the local law enforcement just hated the Freemans so much that they didn't care. That they thought "good riddance to bad rubbish." And maybe even gave a thought to the possibility that Lauria and Ashley were still alive and just didn't care--not their daughters, not their problem.

Dr.Grande this was an excellent analysis of a tragic case. Methamphetamine is often behind terrible crimes like this & a scourge on society. Ty for your clear & understated opinions. They make these horrible events easier to digest.

Lots of reasons why Ronny may not want to reveal the bodies. Maybe the location of the body will reveal he was the only killer. His confession makes it look like he wasn’t that involved.
He may also have other bodies at the location

There is an interesting case in Germany of a father who allegedly killed his son because he was born with a disability. He made it seem like a robber and claimed the perpetrators rolled the kid’s stroller into a river. Can you analyse it?

How about some charges for Phil's girlfriend in whose trailer the girls were held and who undoubtedly further aided the trio after, and probably before, the crime?

RDB is set for release this month after serving only 5 years for these crimes. Oklahoma parole system and laws has some seriously bad guidelines if you are victim or victim’s family member. It seems particularly awful if the victim is a young woman or teen girl.
Ugh. This case has always stuck with me. And, for anyone who has ever driven through and explored the small town of Pitcher, you’ll get the grisly feeling that those two girls bodies have been resting in a sinkhole or in a chat pile somewhere. Two needles in a huge haystack. They’re out there somewhere. Peace be with them.

Those poor poor girls, just trying to live normal teenage lives but because their parents are drug addicts they are gang raped, exploited, and killed. I feel Such a rage toward the parents as well as the vile creatures who killed the girls

As if her life wasn’t sad enough, living in a trailer with your POS drug dealer parents. To then have them get murdered, you and your friend, who wouldn’t be there had it not been your birthday, escaped, just to be found and taken for DAYS and we know what bad men do to little girls, and then be killed. If this really happened this is so sad. She was excited to get her license and had saved 4Gs! Omfg it makes me sick. These cops are also GARBAGE.
As a resident of a small rural community I think you were a little hard on the police in this case. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the first murder their one detective had ever investigated. I'm not saying they didn't drop the ball, they absolutely did. Only saying that small town police aren't staffed or equipped to investigate much of anything past assault and traffic violations. Another possibility is some of the police were "on the take" as cooking meth can be quite lucrative.

This is Interesting because too many times lately news has fire stories. Where the Delphi story is, there's a flora town close. That house burnt and they say kids died too. I wonder how they didn't make a sound even early on news . So the Delphi town had a fire earlier..and it wasn't said any passed. But the girls missing and found also fit the topic.
Trailers are not the problem but people doing bad things in the them is the problem. Bad actors looking for trouble and it happened. Sad.

When I consider the numerous inactions and gaffes by the terrible police in this bundled mass murder case to those super brave officers two weeks ago in Nashville that immediately ran to the shooter without thinking about their own welfare and took her out.......I feel sickened! Tragic event. It seems so strange that the insurance card was left at the scene of the crime. I wonder if one of the girls had managed to get access to the glove box, and throw the contents out of the car. No matter how it ended up being left at the scene the police overlooking that significant piece of evidence likely cost those girls their lives. Another sad example of terrible police work.
I believe the Ins.card was found in the driveway. Probably fell out of the car.
Stupid LE did nothing right away on that clue.

It's almost as if these cops suspect you of murder, you're more likely than the average person NOT to be a murderer. Or if they DO find your corpse at a crime scene, you're more likely to be alive and well. 😐
