I just tried all your steps from 1 to 6. It works perfectly on Windows 11 - GOG Gothic 2 Gold. It even resolved the mouse and video playing issue as compared to my Windows 10 installation from another guide. It plays perfectly!! The link in Step 6 has changed the file for Directx11. Instead of installatiion, just unzip and paste all files into gothic2/system/ directory. Thank you so much!!

L'Hiver 1.6 has a different installation process and this guide is useless for it, you should follow the guide on the site. If you just copy/pasted the main files you will be missing many features that Union adds for L'Hiver 1.6, including the remade boss fights.

if you install up until step 5, it's basically the vanilla game, step 6 and beyond raises the minimum requirements since it improves graphics and textures
you must have used the wrong installers, redo the whole process with the exact files as in the video and make sure you use the "G2NoTR-SystemPack - 1.8" system pack, NOT the G2 classic one

Is there some way to avoid that? I don't want "modded beautiful" graphics, I Just want it to run with Nvidia with oldschool graphics...

Also, moved assets still appear in the air where object was modified. Have you encountered this and have any suggestions to fix?
you probably installed the wrong patch, playerkit or system pack, be careful as there is a version for both Gothic 2 and Gothic 2 Night of the Raven (or Gold Edition), you need to install the proper version or the game will miss or misplace npcs
@@Rukkard when i first installed i wasnt following your guide and the game was broken. I backed up my save file and followed your guide and with my saves i had the same issue. Once i started fresh save everything was fine!
Yea, if the save file is corrupted sadly it carries over and you need to start fresh. This might also happen if you use content mods and update versions.

NoTR means "night of the raven", which is gothic 2 gold in your case

Try this version of DX11 github.com/SaiyansKing/GD3D11/releases and set textures to low, disable dynamic shadows and dynamic lighting.
