Your listening to the greatest rock band in rock history😊
Not only did they never change their singer, Robert plant, once Bonzo the drummer died it ended it all. They were such an iconic band it would be Unthinkable to have somebody else come in and play drums for them. Dude, love your reaction as always.
Yes always the same 4 nobody else did it good enough to be Zeppelin!
Mostly correct. However Zeppelin did get together once and Bonham's son played the drums in honor of his father and was absolutely exceptional.
That flying thing is called a “Zeppelin.”
Is that a blimp?😂
The greatest band ever, no other comes close to their genius, all 4 are the GOATS of their craft.
They slowed Plant’s voice down a bit for this song, that’s what you hear. BTW, they sped his voice up on their song The Song Remains The Same, which also sounds odd, but in the other direction.
Led Zeppelin "Going To California",, A MUST HEAR classic...Nuff Said.❤
This entire album, "Houses of the Holy," is fantastic! It's by far my favorite Zeppelin almum!
Or Physical Graffiti!!
This song was a vehicle for John Paul Jones to showcase his chops on keys in concert. See, Song remains the Same film.
The blimp is called a Zeppelin. Named after the German who invented it, Von Zeppelin.
Led Dirigible just doesn't have the same power and oomph does it? Ha!
@@JoeandAngie Nor Led Blimp.
And the small town just south of Frankfort Germany called Zeppelinhiem
As I said before…The GOATS! Get the led out! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
An incredible trippy dynamic track from these masters of great music!
PS - their live gigs are another level of music excellence!
Such a vibe to just chill,, relax & let it carry you off..Another MUST HEAR incredible vibe,, Black Sabbath "Planet Caravan"..TRUST ME my music lovin' brother!!🔥❤️
Yes!
Those two songs, and Kings and Queens by Aerosmith, have always been a “Holy Trinity” in my mind.
My absolute favorite song by Led Zeppelin. 🔥❤️..Beautiful & Yet Haunting at the same time.
One of my favorite Zep songs. And like someone else has said--see it lives too. Awesome.
I was just going to say that!
1973 msg...full version...so many cut off ones out there 😢
❤❤❤❤Masterpiece ❤❤❤ one of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs....top of the list!!! Great Reaction!!!!😊😊😊
Happy Friday Ace😅 yep this was a smoke up and chill out to the music 🎵🎶🎵 back in the day 😅😅 sit back and enjoy the music 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵
Just imagine for a moment, anticipating the release then buying the album, placing the needle down and listening to this w/ a good pair of Koss headphones...50 years ago.
We had Koss, too!
When Presence came out, 10th grade (still have my pink 8-track), I couldn't wrap my head around it. Had to put it away for about a month or so and then listen with new ears...ut was such a departure. It is my favorite for this period, was Led III 6 months ago. Been itching for II lately.
rock AND roll my Led brother
You’ve gotta listen to the live version of this. It’s insane! ‘73 MSG. Subscribed for more Zeppelin!
Thats why I wore out all their albums.
HEY ACE JPJ played a Mellatron synth...piano and bass on here. Those heave base tones were from the keyboard pedals which he plays bass from live when on keys! Try another song that is very trippy...In The Light!!
Yes, JPJ is there not so secret weapon, you have to be extremely talented to do keys and bass pedal at the same time, and sound utterly incredible, the only other to do it nearly as well was Ray Manzarek of the Doors.
@@vicprovost2561Organists in church do it every Sunday! Mom was choir director in 60s and 70s and I'd sit on old Harold's bench as he did his footwork..mesmerized!
Mom is a piano teacher and is at 88 still teaching Advanced Russian Technique piano. Keeps her mind young and fingers limber. She liked Led but woukd scream "return it down!" for RUSH lox
61 now and still jamming Jimmy. Saw him 4x, not with LZ, tho. Got caught smoking pot and couldn't go see them in '77...same with BÖC.
@@JoeandAngie
That's where JPJ learnt it. In church.
He was the organist at his local church from childhood (his parents were both professional musicians) and choirmaster there by the age of14.
When the levee breaks!! A must
Oh yeah, its a getting high song. I recall sitting in a pitch black room with mates after smoking the devil's lettuce, and literally, closing the door and putting out the light, with this song blaring at full bore. That piano interlude still send shivers up my spine.
The best band ever ❤
That "blimp"is called a Zeppelin 😊
Had to dash upstairs to get the headphones - the grooooove though.
Phasering/notch filter on the voice.
Yes Dime
This you will love!!!!! There were only 4 greatest musicians in Zeppelin!! Nobody could take any one of their places!!
Agreed Julie but a big shout out to Jason Bonham for making the 2007 reunion possible. I saw his band and Heart go out on a Zeppelin tribute tour about a dozen years ago and it was magnificent. Like Mozart, someone somewhere will always be listening to and also playing their incredible music.
One of my top 5 songs all-time. You have plenty more Zeppelin songs to listen to. BTW this song is so good that TOOL does a cover version you should check out. They have some songs that reference The Lord Of The Rings which was a big hook for me as a kid. Hey ACE #inmytimeofdying #whentheleveebreaks
Man do this live at
MSG!!! Its insane!!❤❤❤
ABSOLUTELY
Watch this live in 1973 at msg...BEST SOUND FULL VERSION as some people have made versions that cut off right at the middle!!
This is my fav Zepp tune More than stairway i had to learn this on guitar I love it Check it out live at MSG Jimmy is flawless there
So is JPJ and Bonzo! Must do 1973 msg!
Dude, they wouldn't be LZ without Plant.
You need to hear and see the live version from 1973, at Madison Square Gardens.
Back when ART and ROCK were climbing the mounTain Top
Thanks for the choice. Believe it or not, the bass was conducted through the foot keys of the keyboard. He was always so good at this, which you will find on other tracks that utilize the keys..
Shhhh, you got some sauce to drink. 😃😃
Hey man make sure you crank up this type of rock and roll !
Hey Ace! 🤣 Let me try to answer some questions you had. Same singer, Robert Plant. IDK what effects were used, probably nothing. I'm sure Robert could sound like a computer if he wanted to :) The bass is tricky for me. John Paul Jones is a wizard over on his side of the stage. He is the bass player and anything keys. IDK what the exact instruments are called but I don't think synthesizers were in use yet, could be wrong. Either way, JPJ is doing it all over there. Everyone says he uses bass pedals when he's playing the keys with his hands. I think he is also using some sort of mind control to add the synth sounds. Not sure about that one either. So far, I haven't given you too much, Ace. Sorry buddy. What else...oh yeah, request. Will you please try to do something from their 1970 concert at the Royal Albert Hall? The whole show is amazing, but my fav is a 20 minute crazy jam session that is prob too long. It's called, How Many More Times, if you want to take a look on your own! A lil shorter song is called Whole Lotta Love and it's a banger!! Hopefully it will get through. Thanks brother. Enjoy the channel
Oh yeah, the Zeppelin on the album cover. I believe the class of vehicle is technically called an Airship. Zeppelin is the German manufacturer of the ships that were used to bomb England in the first World War. IDK if this is true but I saw a story where when Jimmy Page was forming a new band after the Yardbirds broke up, someone told him his band is gonna sink like a lead Zeppelin. If you hit one of those airships of the time with a bullet, made of lead typically, if will go down in flames because of the gas that was used to lift it, hydrogen I think. So according to some nameless "entity" on the web, that's how he came up with the band's name. Sounds like a good story and I'm gonna tell it to my granddaughter as soon as she's old enough to understand a sentence. ☺☺
The Mellatron used was a synthesizer and yes it was used by JPJ in this ans dome other songs too. Yes JPJ...multiinstrumentalist genius!! Aldo in a small area...right after the instrumental break while playing live Ji.my uses a Theramin for that strange sound before Robert darts singing again!
Lol yeah Keith Moon told him his duper band would sink like a lead balloon...hence Led Zeppelin was decided upon by Jimmy I believe!
No. Led Zeppelin was always the same four people. No personnel changes. (Not even The Beatles can say that.)
They just used a bunch of reverb on this track, to make Plant’s voice sound different. More haunting that way.
Had one guest singer to sing with Robert on the song Battle Of Evermore!! A woman names Sandy Denny RIP.😢 They even gave her her own rune as it was on the rune...untitled Zeppelin IV
@@juliemanarin4127
Criminally underrated song.
One of my top 5 Led Z songs. I'm not a fan of cover songs, but you should check out Tools version of this song. They did an amazing job keeping it original while staying true to themselves..
This song is one of their more serious songs...it's heavy, Robert plant is singing into a glass, the song is a shout out to the "Jewish resistance" during WW2....it's their story...the dogs of doom were the German shepherds they used to hunt the Jews in the woods .. no quarter means no mercy
I believe the white thing is a Zeppelin a kind of airship
You have to check how many more times 1969 live Denmark
❤❤someone educate him please
There isn't a non getting high Zeppelin song.
Believe me I've looked and haven't been able to find one so far.
Obviously, I'm all about due diligence. ✌️😏
We have lots of cricket noises here in Kansas United States but the way that our seasons have gone even though they're warmer than normal, the last crooked I heard was probably 6 weeks ago. And really they were mostly gone like two or three months ago.
Well I don't like them waking me up at 3:00 a.m. in the morning in my bedroom, when I hear them in the context of this presentation? For some reason it doesn't bother me at all. Actually kind of like it.
We have them in Chicago too...I think they sound soothing!
Funny how the one in your house seems to know when your looking for it and just stops right before you find it 😂
All timer.
Nope, nothing computerized here at all, just four gifted musicians. It's the same vocalist, Robert Plant. In fact, the same four members from the beginning to the end of Led Zeppelin, 1968 - 1980. When the drummer, John Bonham (a.k.a. Bonzo) died in 1980, they would not continue without him, and thus Zeppelin died too. 😢
Synthesizer were not used in making music in this era!
Mellotron
Same singer. Effect on his voice. The whole track was actually slowed and compressed to get that sound.
The Tool cover of this song is fantastic.
Computerized? Dude. No.
