i dream l was riding my bike in a dream l knew all the words which l hadn’t heard this song for years. later the day it played on some radio. 😮This is my dream song. lts magic
One of my favorite songs. The day my Dad died I sat outside of the house I grew up in, in a snow storm, with this song on repeat, until I couldn’t cry anymore. This song means so much to me and has gotten me through some dark days.✌️♥️🎶
I'm really sorry for your loss. I lost my mother 4 years ago and my father this year. Loss of a parent truly does cut deep.....the sorrow and darkness one goes through is unlike any other loss. I feel you on this one. I'm glad that you found solace and healing in such a beautiful, tender Led Zeppelin song. This one touches me on so many levels as well. I that hope you continue to see and come to the light, as I trust your Dad would want of you.
Great reaction. This song is one of my favorites from this album. What I find interesting is that critics say that Led Zeppelin did not make progressive rock, yet this song, along with Kashmir and no quarter from the previous album are some of the most progressive rock songs ever made. Also, I want to state that John Paul Jones is genius.
The Physical Graffiti album cover is a picture of the same building Mick Jagger is standing in front of in the beginning of the Rolling Stones music vid,"Waiting on a Friend."
To me, JPJ with the mellotron is trying to create a sound like Uilleann pipes or Scottish bagpipes....with that underlying drone that is so hypnotic to me. I LOVE that sound. It also has a North African feel with the scales used....Like Kashmir, it highlights the large influence that the music of Morocco and North Africa and India had on Plant and Page. The beginning of the song is one of my favorite parts of the Zeppelin catalogue.
I think I read that this was Plant or maybe Jones favorite song off the album. I can see why. That drone intro is hypnotic. It does sound like bagpipes or some sort of Indian or Arabian instrument. Actually, I think it might be mimicking the sound of the shenai, which is an Indian instrument. ua-cam.com/video/1zscy0JpmbE/v-deo.html
@@PeterTea Jimmy said this was his favorite song to play live ever. They wanted to utilize JPJ keyboard synthesizers then, but it really didn't work in stadiums. This song nailed it with it's long droning noise.
And you guys are totally right. This one is pretty much a Bluesy Prog Rock creation by the Band. And it's fantastic. That whole Album by the way is their best, in my opinion. One of the greatest Double Albums ever.
They were like the "perfect marriage" in music... each giving out space to each other to showcase their own skills while, as a whole, trying to improve an entire finished great concept and product... many times, the perfect balance of assembled individual brilliance working together to achieve something much greater than what they could've achieve on their own. To me, still, the best Band ever!
Get ready to hear one of the greatest songs ever made, by one of the greatest bands to ever exist, on one of the most brilliant albums the world has ever been given.
This IS The Album that i 1st bought with my own earned $ as a child.. In The Light from this 'Record' has always been my 'Favorite'.. 'THIS' is what 'Rock IS'..
Great choice! IMHO Zepp's "Your Time Is Gonna Come" has one of the best organ intros to any rock anthem of the late 60's- early 70's. Happy Travels in the halls of music.
"In the light, you will find the road" A great underappreciated Zeppelin tune. These guys were a musical force to be reckoned with. Thanks for dropping this now, it's appropriate timing. The lights in the background went well with the vibe too. Merry Christmas.
This is such a beautiful song. Thanks for reacting to this guys. I remember the first time I heard this, it was in 1998 when I was 12 years old. I couldnt believe what I was hearing.
They opened with "In The Light" when I saw the Phy Grfti tour. Going on 50 yrs ago 'n I can still remember hearing it. Whaaaa! Yeah! 16 1/2 told my mom "Well I can die now" young and dumb. Love watchin' you guys. Great reactions
In My Time of Dying is a must for sure, there are so many songs. But really, songs like Black Dog, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll are the entry points to Led Zeppelin. From there you can explore In My Time of Dying, Ten Years Gone(!!), The Battle of Evermore, Nobody's Fault But Mine, How Many More Times, Going to California, That's The Way, Gallow's Pole, Bron -Yr-Aur Stomp, Ramble On, The Lemon Song, The Rover, Custard Pie, The Rain Song, The Song Remains The Same... etc etc etc. Soooo many. The first 5 or six albums are flawless really. And always do studio versions first then live. Just my opinion. Enjoy the ride. So jealous.
I love that song... Led zep is so awesome... I've seen Page and Plant concert with the Egyptian Philarmonic concert twice, that was so good. I specially love that title because I'm crazy about offbeats ("contretemps" in French) and the rhythm is changing all the time... Thanks of sharing this song and your reaction on it... ❤️🎶
sometime, perhaps on our own, go through from first ti last Led Zep album, I lived during that time and you never knew what you were going to get, but was always epic, some took a bit of getting used to but they never stopped progressing,,,Epic!
Someone else already mentioned the track "In My Time Of Dying" from the same album. - Well I did notice from your other reactions how much you love John Bonham.....Guy's this is "The" track that will blow off the top of your heads. I kid you not. This for me personally is the heaviest drumming I have ever heard on record.....If anyone disputes this - please tell me what group + track beats this. Bonham literally must be hitting his drums with such force that anyone else would need two baseball bats to compete....You have been warned - with headphones - This will clear any wax from your ears ! I look forward to a reaction to that.. Lol

Led Zeppelin is without question the greatest music band of all time. In my opinion that is. 😊
One of my favorite songs. The day my Dad died I sat outside of the house I grew up in, in a snow storm, with this song on repeat, until I couldn’t cry anymore. This song means so much to me and has gotten me through some dark days.✌️♥️🎶
I lost my wife in July. Music, especially reaction videos, has really, really helped me get through the intense grief and depression.
What a memory to share with all of us, Diane. It really touched my heart.
This is definitely the appropriate song for such a sorrowful occasion. This song has helped illuminate some dark days for me too.
Bless you sweetheart...I think about my Dad as well..and all the others I've lost along the way...

Genius that is Led Zeppelin ❤
Great song! One of their most underrated.
I agree!
I prefer the early version
@@vinnicinhus44 why?
@@justanoutcast1652 because it doesn't drag the song with the synthesizer.
underrated where?
This album is probably my favorite Led Zeppelin album. In The Light has one of Led Zeppelin's most underrated, filthy guitar riffs.
There's an evil smoldering burn to it. My favorite absolute riff to play on guitar
And vocals

Yes, that's John Paul Jones playing the synthesizer 💯😎😉🎵🎼🎶💯🔥
"In My Time Of Dying" is another must
Absolutely
Definitely. The live and studio versions are great.
Do the studio version
@@PeterTea I definitley think the Studio Version is better
This whole album is cant miss.
Everybody needs the light!🔥
Great vocals
Love Jimmy’s riff!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You guys would really enjoy Ten years gone from this album! Good job guys!
agree
Definitely
Physical Graffiti. Their masterpiece IMO. One of Plant's best vocals here. Really showcasing Jonesy & Bonzo here
I remember buying this 2-record masterpiece in 1975! I was 17 and this song blew my mind!
Its one of the best albums of all time .
I think these guys like this tune.
Even after all these years, Led Zeppelin still gives me chills.
The Physical Graffiti album cover is a picture of the same building Mick Jagger is standing in front of in the beginning of the Rolling Stones music vid,"Waiting on a Friend."
One of their better riffs.
Led Zeppelin is SECOND to NONE ! Period
Yess!!!
Preach!!
Is always a nice reaction to the greatest Rock band to ever find planet Earth. Until next time stay well I'm popping for fresh. More please

Gives you chills within the first 20 seconds doesn’t it? What a great, great song.
Dude on the left's (George?) little smirk when the course comes in is my exact reaction every time I listen to this song.
This is a hidden gem, theres also a fantastic alternate take of this aswell
spot on - that alternate take is a KILLER!!
Guys I've gotta recommend listening to led zeppelin's song "battle of evermore". Talk about another dimension!
That song has me crying every time I hear it.
1979 my parents gave me Zeppelin "In Through the Outdoor" on both vinyl and 8 track. One of the few times I thought they were possibly a little cool.

Another trippy song they did called “Friends”, has the lively acoustic guitar playing over an ominous sounding tune underneath. Great vocals too!

They used this song at the end of Season 1 of Mindhunter and it was perfection.
The Battle of Ever More , is the only song by Led Zeppelin that had another vocalist sing on a recorded song with them. Check it out
"In the light, you will find the road"
A great underappreciated Zeppelin tune. These guys were a musical force to be reckoned with. Thanks for dropping this now, it's appropriate timing. The lights in the background went well with the vibe too. Merry Christmas.
5:55 I love how the bass goes down scale while the guitar goes up. Phenomenal.
While we’re here on Physical Graffiti, it’s time for “The Wanton Song”, and “The Rover”.
NOBODY could do what bonham could. Ive never heard anybody come close to his power or sound
golden words
That's cuz nobody could lift the tree trunks he used to play dem drums 🎵
He could make a 4/4 beat sound amazing
This is such a beautiful song. Thanks for reacting to this guys. I remember the first time I heard this, it was in 1998 when I was 12 years old. I couldnt believe what I was hearing.

That whole 3rd side of Physical Graffiti is awesome (yes - I’m old and still have this on vinyl 🤣).

Very first time I heard Zeppelin was this album and this song. I was mesmerised same way you guys are.
The Rover off the same album 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥✌️
Great song great reaction! They want to hypnotize us!!!! Absolutely!!!!
Their song Ten Years Gone will take you somewhere else, and I'm so excited for you guys. But it MUST be the (1990) remaster, make sure of that.
If you like live so Dazed and Confused or How Many More Times from Royal Albert Hall 1970. Thank me later!
It's great watching you get lost in music. Thanks for your videos.
The Beatles' song "Tomorrow Never Knows" & Fleetwood Mac's song "Hypnotized" will also give you those "mysterious" feelings!

“Goin to California” live from Earls Court please #LedZeppelin🖤
Jimmy Page produced all Led Zepplin albums. That is the key to their sound.
physical graffiti is for me the #1 album of all time, no bad songs...
“Everybody makes it through” is the deluxe version and is even better🤘🏻
Great reaction guys. In the Evening or Fool In the Rain would be great! ✌️❤️
