Wow, I'm very surprised. When I saw a stingray I didn't know what to expect but the tone was ON.POINT. playing with all those pedals seems madness for me, but you showed good management. In short:you totally killed it.
Thank you! There's a video on our Facebook page that covers the version of my pedalboard I used for this video: facebook.com/ToolShedUK/videos/242632647092736 I've changed it loads since then though, so feel free to email me at toolshedukband@gmail.com if you'd like to see the new board and chat about how it works :)
I have a really dumb question. I’m just getting into this pedal world and I’m horrible with tech and I love Tool. My question is do you have the tremolo on while you’re doing the whammy effect in the intro? I went and looked at your Facebook link giving a tour of the pedalboard and the 2 channel thing confused me. Great cover and playing tho man. Thank you for the help.
Hey Robert, Matt here :) Defo not a dumb question! At the time of recording this video I was using a hardware based setup to split my bass signal into two, so I could run the two paths through different sets of effects. So yes, the whammy and the tremolo are both on in the intro, but on different channels, so they don't affect each other. I actually do this differently now, using a Line 6 HX Stomp XL, which has simplified my pedalboard and makes playing the songs easier (it's massively improved my bass sound too!). UA-cam comments might not be the bast place to have a chat about this, but if you'd like to discuss it more, email me at: toolshedukband@gmail.com
@@toolsheduk Wow! Really appreciate the reply and the email address. Do you have any vids on your new pedal? The Line 6? As I said before, I’m terrible with technology so just trying to decide which rabbit hole I want to go down here with effects. I’m finding it’s never ending. Thanks again for the reply
@@robertreyes5036 No videos but I can send you photos of my setup via email. I'm using the new pedalboard on the latest video on our channel, the one of us playing Third Eye in Belfast :)
Always get goosebumps at 5:23.. The build-up to this part is just phenomenal. Great cover man!

The rounder tone of the Stingray fit the song pretty well! Nice job, man!
