I can honestly say, out of all the channels I subscribe to or follow on UA-cam, yours is the best. You're an excellent teacher
A huge „Thank you“, because this video (as tons of others that I‘ve already watched) is super interesting and helpful for me as I can „apply“ it to my situation almost 1:1. 💪🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
(And what I wanted to say too: you talk extremely clearly and distinctly so that even a non-English speaker from Austria can follow you easily!
As an added tip on the GGD kits in the Load Preset section, GGD already have a GM Mapping Preset (as well as some other popular ones) - it might not be 100% but I've found its pretty dang close - I have the One Kit Wonder kits and GM works great
Did you make one for one kit wonder metal ? I get confused with what to assign the rim hits and the toms since there’s 4 tom and DMD has 6 as well the articulations Lmk 🔥💯
@JDMNDMUSIC I only have the standard one Kit wonder and the Archetype plugins but its pretty much the same process - I went thru and just found all the different triggers and articulations in the Logic configuration and then moved GGD to those vs the other way around.
Thank you so much. This works flawlessly with Superior Drummer 3. Never knew this was a thing.
You are good. No, better than good. Thank you for your excellent work in spreading the knowledge of the wonderful world of Logic....!
✌😎🤘
Thanks for this video, Josh. Really helpful, as always 🙂 The Velocity Processor tip for Kontakt drums is just great. For those of us who are still operating pre-Logic 10.8, you can still take advantage of the flexibility of the Drummer Editor with 3rd-party instruments by creating an alias of the drummer region on the 3rd-party-instrument track. Just Option-Shift the Drummer region down to your software instrument track and an alias is created. Any changes subsequently made in the Drummer region will be reflected in the alias.
Very useful video as usual. Thanks again!
This is going to be so helpful! Thank you!
Bookmarking this! Wonderfully helpful.
Fantastic! Thank you!! 🙏
Super awesome!!!!
Really cool tutorial
Awesome !!!
Nice work champ.
Legend!
I just do logic drummer then load ssd 5.5 and copy drummer file into the ssd channel, sometimes it adds stuff, easy to see/hear, just delete.
Excellent video! I use SD3 as my "alternative kit" and so far haven't had any issues with mapping. but at least I know how to now!
One question, if you remap within Kontakt as you showed, can you save those mappings within teh Kontakt instrument itself? Not that i use any Kontakt kits, but good to know.
Also, shouldn't you be able to save Channel trip settings for each and every different kit you might use, and simply select the set you want for any particular kit in the Logic Library?
Magic
Great video as always. Just one point; as you say, the the Drummer drum kit Designer has two notes that trigger each of the toms. However, the second mid tom played a lower pitch edtom. I remember noticing that in one of my projects too. Is that a mapping error by Logic?
Hi.. great content like always!! 🔥
It would be great if you could make a video showing how to make "Headphones Mixes" in Logic Pro.
Thanks a lot. LetsGoooo!!
I kept postponing latest system update on my mac and now , even though my system is up to date, I'm still on logic 10.7. My mac is 6 years old.
I can't get the Logic Pro 10.8 update, will it not work on Monterey?
No it won’t. Only Ventura or Sonoma (I had to update)
There is no better host, again top useful in detail 💯🦴🙏🏼✌🏼
