I am now 71, when I was a teenager & for many years the 68 Camaro was my favorite car, these days I love almost all vintage autos, you are an awesome lady for keeping this car alive, keeping making good memories, God bless you and your family !!! USA,Virginia
Thats awesome man, nice car indeed like you said seeing any classics is a treat nowadays. If you like this video and story you should check out more videos on the channel it's all about bringing back the nostalgia. Lots of cars and stories on this channel.... we are also building our own car a 1972 Nova. Thanks for watching Stephen
Brings back memories, I once had a 68 RS, one of many muscle cars this 63 yrs old feller had.....Always love the stories behind the builds! Congrats to her for the love of keeping it in the family!
@@Eldude350 yeah man good cars. But for sure the stories make the builds so much better. the thought of a car rotting in a field for several decades then being used daily is really amazing
Thanks Ross, yeah her episode is one of the most impressive to date because I have not seen anyone work 16 hour days and sleep in a car. As someone whos doing a similar restoration (as you know) I have a hell of a lot of respect for her. Not easy work, beats up your body, lots of time and money. But always worth it in the end. Thanks for dropping in
@@KathrynGreco she did a great job indeed an inspiration for anybody looking to restore and enjoy a car 😎 hope you stick around and check out some of the other stories lots of amazing people in our town. Cherrs
I'm pretty sure that I would rather drive the car daily cause it's not good for em just letting cars just set alot plus all the work and attention the got from her throughout the years, the car deserves to be seen cause that's when cars were so simple to keep up compared to today's car's. I'm a retired mechanic and I wouldn't know where to begin to troubleshoot newer vehicles. The 60s and 70s cars I could just listen to the engine and figure out what the problems were and it was same with the transmissions and suspensions with the old school rides..I'm happy for her cause I'm pretty sure she went through alot just to keep the car in her family. Plus the amazing story is what makes it even better ❤
Oh 100% agree with you. I've been lucky to do enough stories on this channel to learn how simple the old cars are and I actually ended up buying a 72 Nova. Doing the whole thing from the ground up and you can watch it on this channel. But there is something about the odk cars that's just aweosme. Yes new cars are way to complicated. At the same time I'm on the same page as you I believe cars are made to be driven So you will see us driving in the rain all year when it's ready to go. Not everyone does that which is cool but hey long as the cars are on the road not rotting away! Thansk for dropping in hope you checkout some more videos on our channel
great story - amazing woman and amazing passion , i see the donor car was a firebird , she really knows her stuff "one of the best car history's I ever heard" she should be very proud
Yeah shows you how far dedication can take you. She was determined to have the car back on the road and here it is.... not only that but its her daily driver so she really gets the most out of it.
@@chuckirwin7334 oh yeah they made it happen but for sure lot of effort. But no matter what it takes there is nothing better than seeing a classic on the road and seeing the happy driver 🙂 lots more stories to come

My daughter and I restored my grandma's 74 Malibu for her first car in high school, 12 years later she still has it. The only thing we changed was the wheels, we kept the original steelie's we just put baby moons on them because it only had 3 of the original hubcaps.
