Great video. I read recently that the plant nerds have concluded that more than likely, Trichos will be known solely as Trichos again. Something happened in their research that told them to drop the Echinopsis term!
@@sunshinevalley0 I didn't save the article. It was a post I ran across while searching Trichocereus in the browser. I'm sure you can find similar information with a simple search.
Since I learned about them last year I knew echinopsis and tricho interbreed so it shouldn’t really that big of an issue calling them what they are. I love these walk arounds tho
For those who call Trichocereus, “echinopsis”… what would be considered a scientifically correct Trichocereus that wouldn’t be under the umbrella of echinopsis?

Well they removed the name trichocereus. I don't think anything is under it anymore.

Pretty sure echinopsis oxygona maybe hybrid of it really not well versed in those species.
