lol I was another video of yours the other day but I could not remember the name of that actor at the time.... look for it, doppelgänger@@mallachtsplants
wow what an incredible collection!! i liked the little tips + tricks sprinkled in, esp the carnivorous plant fertilizer tip i'm going to start using that ty. i just discovered those elephant foots at a cacti show recently, they're amazing. the fact your wife "isn't a cactus person" but her yard looks like this cracked me up, very sweet.
Thanks, I’ve been growing plants for almost 20 years so it is always a work in progress. You’re welcome for the carnivorous plant feeding tip, I wish I could remember who I got that one from. I think I read it on one of the carnivorous plant Facebook groups. Huge game changer for sure. My wife appreciates a particularly beautiful plant as much as the next person of course, I only meant that she’s not really the gardening type in general. It’s not for all of us of course. She does all of the video editing and comes up with many of the video ideas. I think the plants have grown on her for sure though because more and more often it seems, she goes to the back to “appreciate the garden”. ❤️😁
For sure, a nice sized handful is included with orders for free upon request. Email us at mallachtsplants@gmail.com and let us know your order # and that you would like free Spanish moss. www.mallachtsplants.com
@23:55 One of my favorites! Have one grafted to PC right now. It's doing very well, considering it's only now slightly larger than a golf ball. It was marble sized less than a month ago. big Big BIG!
If you will your dream then it is a dream no more. On point 🌵😎👍 Couple questions, I have a Mallacht Cut from last year that's 4 feet including the pot with crazy long spines. Transplanting this beef stick is a bit out of my wheel house. Any suggestions? Also what kind of fertilizer do you use and how often? 🙏
Awesome plants. I have a growing collection, most are very young and the biggest only just over 2 feet. I recently got a Bridgesii Eileen cut. The spines are incredible like double length toothpicks.
Yep, sure do. 😂 This is how we’ve managed to send over 6,000 packages since 2015, albeit being a relatively small operation. The SoCal weather definitely helps too, I like to say it’s like cheating at the horticulture game. Thanks for watching bro!
Hope to shop with you soon! As it seems your selection of trichs has increased quite a bit! The cactus i got before from you provided great meditation when "sitting" with them 🙏😎🔥❤️
What an amazing garden. Definitely might be worth phasing out that BBB in some of the pots and planting something new. Those Lumberjack in ground are looking really nice. The Sass and Ichoca definite stand outs. Finger crossed for some Shamans Garden crosses.
Very little nowadays. I’m convinced that my organic amendments topper that I use is not only deterring most insects, but essentially curing pathogenic activity in some plants as well. We have a video on “how I mix dry organic amendments” - you should check it out when you get a chance
@@mallachtsplants That's awesome, I'll check it out. I'm an Aussie just starting a collection, and looking for organic ways to prevent insects/ disease
Many different ages. I’ve been growing these plants since 2006 so some of them are that old, some a lot less. I still receive new plants regularly. Also, knowing how old a clone is, very difficult. Since a clone is the same age as the mother plant it was cut from, many times there is no telling how old the original mother plant is.
Can you help me and my boyfriend Id some "peruvianus" I bought at a nursery not saying it was a wrong id but peruvianus is kind complicated and we'd love a second opinion
Just wish the cactus bros werent so gatekeepey with their hobby/community online for newcomers. Like walking into a room of guys conparing/compliemeting phalluses lol
Log planting? Plz no never call a raft style planting a log planting as we all know log is a dead peace of wood and a raft is a fallen but still growing plant
this is ben foster here in the vid, when he is not making hollywood movies he grows cacti.
Lol! I don’t think I’ve heard this one before. I do get Connor McGregor a LOT though. In fact just today someone told me that 😂

29:06 is that a euphorbia behind you? The one that looks like a tree covered in spikes
If you will your dream then it is a dream no more.

Sick video man! I know from experience passion fruit is very productive in OC. Kick the cane berries ass fir production and vigor and no predators

Thanks! Sounds like you’ve got a great start to a fine collection. Eileen is indeed a cool one, a favorite bridgesii of many.
You have a cactus factory. Good vid

Thanks. Got some Shaman’s Garden ready right now bro, just gotta process them :)

HOw old are all those san pedros and pc's?

PC is a type of San Pedro.

Sure. You can email me at MallachtsPlants@gmail.com or msg me on facebook: Tyler Ekstein
Do you have very mild winds there?
We sometimes get pretty intense winds. I’m only about 13 miles from the beach or so, so we get the strong inland winds in the afternoon
@@mallachtsplants doesn't seem like they can handle high winds. Weird.
@@danielmurray1715 As long as the stems are nice and strong, it shouldn’t be a problem
@@mallachtsplants what about clay soil?
@@danielmurray1715 The soil here isn’t too bad, I usually heavily amend though anyway so it doesn’t matter

Log planting? Plz no never call a raft style planting a log planting as we all know log is a dead peace of wood and a raft is a fallen but still growing plant
It is extremely common to refer to a horizontally planted columnar cactus as a “log planting”
How can I get a cut of the icharo pheno 2 👀
