there was also a sonic game where you could play on mobile, which was sonic advance 2. yup. there was apps that looked like fake sonic games but they actually ran sonic advance 2 itself. no modifications whatsoever, just a mobile port. though i dont know if there are still some apps that do the same

Actually, you know how you said that the 2009 ports weren’t available anymore. That’s not exactly true. You could still get sonic spin ball but you would have to do it through Internet archive however there is a catch you need a device that’s running iOS 6 or older just let you know!
