When you are ever sitting in your passenger seat wondering why it takes so long to take off this is your explanation.

That episode about why NOT to be a pilot was so eye opening to us non piloting lay peoples! I mean keeping your medical certification is pretty major. If you have one seizure when you never had them before, even if you were doing fine as a pilot for 15 years, that one little seizure can basically end your career on the spot! These behind the scenes videos are so great!

I started flight training...currently working on my PPL. The discovery flight for me was meant to be just for fun, but I became hooked. I love flying; I’m trying to figure out if I want to take the next steps and become a professional pilot, but I’m 30 years old and have a career. If I were 18 again, I would definitely go for it!

I’ve Watched your videos and I made the steps towards becoming a pilot. I’m hooked on it! I’m currently working construction so I can get my Private pilots license and even though it sucks I know it’ll all pay off in the end. Keep up the good work and DON’T stop making videos!!!

This video is so useful in that literally it tells you step by step how to become a pilot. People really want practical step by step instructions to make their dreams of becoming a pilot a reality. It is so meticulous in saying precisely what steps are involved and how much time it takes. This is a must- see for how to make it happen!

Are student pilots given loans to pay for tuition?
@@kofizayn6077 depending upon which flight school you choose they usually have partnered loan providers. Or you get a private loan somewhere.
I was getting a package deal with my college and a flight school but loans are optional upon each individual. I took student loans for college and paid out of pocket for my flight school. But be careful please pick your flight-school carefully!! Im in the process of switching schools.

Hey Garrett! It would be cool if you could make a video about which regional airline to pick. I’m a senior in high school right now and I was hoping to attend Embry-riddle this fall for aeronautical science, but they are full for flight training at the Daytona Beach campus where my family lives. Let me know if you have any suggestions on what I should do. I might enroll online and get my PPL over this next year then transfer next fall. Keep up the great videos!

I like to see a video about the different regionals and how to pick one! One thing that I might want to add to the idea is your take on where you should go to set yourself up to go to a particular major. For instance if someone wanted to go to delta is the best regional endeavor to get the PIC time or would maybe Skywest be better? Just kind of information that would be good to get your take on.
Definitely would love to see a video comparing the different regionals.

Hey Garrett, great video I just got a couple questions, did you have any failed check rides on your Resume during the airline interview process, and would that does that have any affect during that process? Also what are you thoughts on airline cadet programs? And also do you think that flight instruction is a better time builder than some part 135 ops like you mentioned?

How long till you get transferred to the bigger airline?
Its cool seeing EMBRAER aircraft's around the world... I live a few miles from embraer and I think it's the pround of any Brazilian 🇧🇷
How does the mainline transition work? Like how you do decide what aircraft you’re flying, the hub your based at, etc?
What I would like to know is what airline or flying job is your ultimate goal? I’m at FedEx finally and it’s where I’ve always wanted to be. My dad retired from there after 35 years and it’s the only place I wanted to work once I started. I was stuck at Pinnacle/Endeavor for 10 damn years but now I’ve been at FedEx for almost 3 years. Passengers were ok but cargo is SO much better. No hassles like I used to deal with every day and no more 5 leg days! Good luck. I got my private in Burlington, NC and Go Heels!

New Smyrna beach! Epic flight school is there. I’m from Port Orange down the road. I’m about to retire from the Army in 2 years and would love to pursue a career in commercial aviation. Looking for the best route to achieve this in the quickest manner.
what is the process when upgrading to a larger aircraft? would you need a certain amount of hours on your current aircraft or are there any specific rules that don’t allow you to upgrade until a certain point?

I sent a student of mine to E.R. last year and now she has been accepted to the college at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs... She wants to graduate from the academy - Glad you found your path so young and were so successful - I have to say that although your videos at home and in the cockpit are very informative and professional, your demeanor and physical nature are distracting - You are gorgeous - Hope this pandemic finds you well

Hi Garret, do you think I can make it to a regional first officer and then pilot , without a bacheor degree? , Im going to end my highschool in 1 year and luckly my parents can pay me the aviation school , but not a bachelor degree. I know im not going to be rich , but I’ve thinking a lot ,and I love flying..I dont see myself working in anotother job that I dont like.

Where should I work right after pilot school?
So how does it work, you are now a Captain on your type of aircraft. You said you are looking forward to being type rated on larger aircraft. Would you have to go back to being a First Officer on that larger aircraft or do you over as a Captain... I’m imagining a Captain on a 737 for instance wanting to fly the 777 or 787 . How would that work

Do you guys think ATP is a good program? I’m 19 (turning 20 in a few months), halfway to finishing my AA degree. Or is embry riddle like way more preferable?

When do you think you will upgrade to long haul
So in Germany it’s like this. After 12 years of School you take your A Levels. If you pass them and got grades better then „3“ ( C for you muricans) in Physics English and Maths you can apply for a private flightschool. Then you need to pass your medical Class 1 and pay 80000€ learn hard pass all tests and you get your ATPL License after around two years. Voila you are ready entry and can apply at any airline
So I’m thinking about going to a local school and just grinding the certs and hours out as fast as I can they estimate about 2 years .. the reason I can’t do ATP or s program like tht is bcus I have a car note I have to pay therefor I can’t quit my job from there I guess I’ll instruct banner tow do anything to grind the hours as fast as possible
