After i lost my prior job 4 months ago I started to seal a pact with myself to never let myself down, Physically and mentally. Yesterday I was applying to a new Job which actually is too good to be true and after I had a 90 min Interview with 2 Managers of this Business, I enchanted them so badly with the way I talked about my ambitions, principles and my worldviews that both of them became so inviting and wanted me for this job without hessitation and even wanted to support my efforts to reach my own goals. I can't believe how much I changed over the last few months...

    I)
    1. Any fool can criticize, condemn or complain, but it takes character and self control to be understanding and forgiving.
    2. Give honest and sincere appreciation. Positive reinforcement.
    3. Arouse in the other person an eager want. Before you speak: How can I make this person want to do it? Get the other person's point of view. Appel to people's self-interest, never to their mercy or gratitude. What they will get out of it?
    II)
    4. Become genuinely interested in other people. Everyone has a mistake that I can learn from, they have succes I may be able to replicate. We are interested in others when they are interested in us. Ask more questions
    5. Smile. Happiness ≠ outward conditions, Happiness = inner conditions. Fake it till you make it.
    6. Remember their name.
    7. Be a good listener and encourage others to talk about themself. We love talking about ourself.
    8. Talk in terms of their interests. People briefly mention something that they are interested in in the middle of the conversation (ask a question about that).
    9. Make them feel important. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
III) Win people to your way of thinking
    10. The only way to avoid an argument is to avoid it completely. Don't make others feel inferior. Keep your mouth shut. When you argue with someone and they argue their point in retaliation they're just further solidifying their current belief. An argument ends with each of the contestants more firmly convinced than ever that he is absolutely right.
    11. Show respect for other's opinions, never say "You're wrong". You cannot teach a man anything, you can only help find it within himself. "I thought otherwise, but I may be wrong, I frequently am and if I'm wrong I want to be put right".
    12. Admit your wrongdoings quickly. Say about yourself all of the things you know the other person is thinking/wants to say/intens to say and say them before that person has a chance to say them = a generous forgiving attitude will be taken and your mistakes will be minimized. (They will minimize your wrongdoings if you admit them first)
    13. Begin in a friendly way. (Apartament rent too expensive example). Start with a compliment. You are teammated trying to solve the problem rather than putting the other person on the offensive and making it a you vs them situation.
    14. Get them to say Yes.
    15. Let them do a great deal of the talking. Always say less than necessary. Powerful people impress and intimidate by saying less. Don't interrupt.
    16. Let them feel that the idea is theirs, to change someone way of thinking you have to do it subtly, without making it obvious what your intentions are. They can only believe this way of thinking if they reach that point themselves
    17. See things from their POV.
    18. Be sympathetic to other's ideas and desires. 3/4 of people are hungering and thirsting for sympathy. "I don't blame you one iota for feeling as you do. If I were you I would undoubtedly feel just as you do".
    19. Appeal to their nobler motives
    20. Dramatise your ideas
    21. Throw down a challenge
    22. Begin with praise, once whe realised I had confidence in her.
    23. Call attention to their mistakes indirectly
    24. Talk about your own mistakes first.
    25. Ask questions instead of giving direct orders
    26. Let them save face
    27. Praise every improvement
    28. Give them a fine reputation to live up to
    29. Use encouragement
    30. Make them happy to do what you ask

I'm a dental student and i work at my university's medical clinic,i've been using these tactics with patients, especially little kids who are usually very scared to go to the dentist, and it just totally changes their behaviour with me, they are calmer than usual and sometimes even are excited to come, and if it works with kids with scares, it can work with adults too and more than anyone thinks.

Watched this video yesterday. Have to say that I really had the determination and really wanted to improve my social skills. My friend group was great at the start of my skl year but things slowly started getting a little boring, repetitive and maybe toxic. I noticed how I would have to chase after them at lunch/break. I was the one initiating I felt worthless in their eyes and started communicating less. They seemed to just ignore me. But today I saw them feeling awkward asked if I could sit with them. Sat down and just was being myself. I was able to bring up our previous/relevant funny discussion topics. By asking questions I found out about their interest. I was able to get them to speak about them. I was able to also share my own interest 2. Convo started and it maybe wasn't the best Convo or where I would like it to be but I felt better making the friendship better than it was going before

That's great. I've been feeling the same lately. I've been in this friend group for a while and i've noticed that their humor and actions are just not what I want to do with my life. So I started going out of my comfort zone and initiated contact with people I want to be better friends with. No joke, it worked so well the first day. I immediately made independent choices, and some people even followed me in them. Such a great feeling

What i also noticed is that when trying to include someone into a group conversation it can help explaining what you were discussing or the context to an inside joke. It makes the person slowly feel like they belong because they’re “in on the joke” and will be much more receptive to opening up about themselves.
This applies to a group as small as you and someone else, letting someone in on what you were discussing can make them feel welcome!
Very nice summary of the book and principles and I really like how you added examples from your own life :)

@@ForxgedI'm 16, but started working out at 14. It's just a small, good habit in the big scope of things. However, small as it may seem to me, it is what started everything for me and for many other men. Once you start working out, it will take about 2-3 months to get "addicted to it". Once you start liking going to the gym, you just won't have to worry about it anymore. Other than working out, you should probably read good books (good books make you feel accomplished after reading them), stop eating processed sugar and junk food, stop watching inappropriate pixels and start meditating. Once all of these are taken care of, you will attain heaven on earth. You will also become a little bit arrogant and have trouble finding women and friends that suit you. Time is running dry, you need start taking care of yourself. If you can't take care of yourself, how can others trust you to take care of them or some important business? Good luck, Lynx. I hope you make it into the top 10%. Take care, bro.

Hamza, I’m a 27 year old autistic man. I was teetering on the edge of falling down the black pill rabbit hole. I’ve never even been particularly unlucky with the ladies - my body count is in the double digits and I’ve had 9 gf’s that lasted at least a year. But since leaving college and starting a business in the trades and wanting to improve myself, I lost all my friends and my social circle. I started thinking I’d never get them back. “I’m autistic, my friends and drugs made my friends and gf’s for me, I’m doomed.”
You’ve at least given me the courage to stand on my own two feet and realize through your own story that no matter who you are we all go through a growth phase of shedding our old toxic social circles. Thank you Hamza. I hope I can make some positive new friends soon ❤

I have always been a good listener, even with girls, people always say "ask her if she wants you to listen or to give her advice" and I always thought that was common sense but the more I find out about girls the more I see the lines separate between men and women. Women are WAY more in touch with their feelings than men are and therefore they love it when they are listened to instead of mindlessly having advice thrown at them so asking if they want you to listen or give advice has never let me down.

I'm only halfway through and I just realised that I have seen many of these principles being used before in a book i've been reading, the republic, or the politea, by the ancient greek philosopher Plato. In summary, the book is written as a play, where the main character, Socrates, Plato's mentor, talks with the other characters and convinces them of the political and philosophical viewpoints plato holds. Principle 15 of getting them to say yes-yes can be found on every page and socrates makes the other feel like the conclusion reached is their own for example.

The thing is I was like that. I have been a nice, kind, always smiley person and have always been a great listener to my peers since the day I remember.
But now, at the age of 23, I eventually got tired. Because I realised people would take advantage of me. And that most of my so called friends didn't genuinely like me for me. They just liked how I treated them.
So eventually, anger and frustration built inside of me and very recently I stopped being like that. I don't smile to people who don't smile at me. I don't give my kindness away like a piece of bread. I am not generous with everyone, only the one who I can count on for being there for me.
Mind you, I don't mind giving more than I receive. But I do mind people being fake with me just so I can make them feel good.
Abused kindness can eventually turned into resentment and that's what happened to me.
And if there is something that I learned, better have one or two friends who have your best interest at heart than a bunch of friends who view you like a tissue they can wipe their tears with.

Very infuelcial Hamza I appreciate the hard work you put into this video, and I have something to say about principle 21. Challanges are great against yourself but never really have this burning desire to win. It is only when you compare to others who are more successful than you or catching on to you fast that you start getting momentum. The chalk expiriment worked because they saw that "oh are they doing a 6 on productivity? we can do better than that yeah", then it happend again with the other team then again then again. it is only when you see that you worked hard, won, and now that they are winning that you get another boost into more work and winning. Honestly, I tell me close friends not to "compete against themselfs" and compete with me and other people in our close friend group because it just feels so much better and natural. Bro imagine a tribe and you got your first kill, you'd probobly be so proud of yourself "yay food" whatever. But the real alphas are packing hords of animals to feed their tribe, their women who are pregnant who need food most, not just themselfs. If you don't compare yourself to them you might be an outstanding success right now and feel like you don't need to work anymore (EGO), comparing in a good way to your tribe drives you mad not being a success it makes you obssessed with hunting and until you catch 5 animals you're not returning, day in day out without quitting. When you succeed, you show it to the tribe, they are happy, you are stoic, you went there and didn't come back until you cought those animals. You are strong and a step closer to being an alpha.
This is my honest review of the principle, because it is correct and I agree but to my knowlege you shouldn't just compete against yourself (and let's be real Hamza Ahmed. You're not competing only against yourself your competing against Iman Gadzhi but in a manly and respectful way)
P.S. It does give a huge boost though seeing how successful you are right now compered to your past, I do not neglect that in any way but I don't think that should be your main focus, set it as a role model, imagine yourself 10 years from now and let that be your guide, and when you look back 10 years in the future oh man it'll probobly be unbelievable (I'm only a few years into improving yourself and only recently went in hardcore)

Good points hamza. But one of the restraining force of this book is that it teaches you on listening more than talking. Remember NOT to listen a lot. If you listen to a significant extent, then your kind will be filled with negative energy from different people you talked to. You will also not be able to express yourself to people as you will have the concept of being just a listener to the people you talk to. You need an output to remove this negative energy, thus talk in a great extent, but listen more.
