Title: The Philosophy of Multiplication: A New Perspective [Thomas Anderson walks onto the stage, the audience applauding] Thomas Anderson: Thank you. Today, I'd like to delve into an intriguing concept proposed by Terrence Howard: that 1*1 equals 2. While this might seem mathematically incorrect, Howard’s statement isn't about arithmetic; it's a philosophical proposition. In traditional mathematics, 1*1 equals 1. But let's consider Howard's idea from a different angle. When we multiply one object by another, we're not merely calculating a numerical product-we're acknowledging the existence of two distinct entities. This isn't a numerical assertion but a philosophical one: 1 (object) * 1 (object) = 2 (objects). This perspective challenges the rigidity of conventional thinking. It invites us to explore the deeper implications of basic concepts. In mathematics, 11 equals 1 is absolute. However, in philosophy, 11 equals 2 represents duality, existence, and the nature of being. Howard's statement compels us to consider how we perceive and interact with the world. It blurs the lines between science and philosophy, encouraging us to see beyond numbers and formulas to the essence of what they represent. Consider this: if you have one idea and you multiply it with another, you don't simply end up with one idea-you now have two perspectives, two dimensions of thought. This multiplicative interaction breeds complexity and depth, essential to understanding the multifaceted nature of reality. One thing i think has major importance to this case is that when terrance was a child, he witnessed his father stab another man to death while they were eaiting in line to see santa. One thing for sure is that trauma can lead to many mental health illnesses. He is not acting. He needs help
I agree. Many people in the entertainment industry and politics have similar personalities. Such are the many faces of a traumatic childhood that must control the overall narrative. PTSD is correlated to childhood abuse. Exposure to trauma during critical growth periods of the human development life span is often accompanied by mood disorders likely through the epigenetic effect of chronic distress associated with hormonal dysfunction.

There's this idea that using big words and confusing language that most people cannot understand makes one appear intelligent. That by talking fast and with confidence conveys that what someone is saying has credibility. Unfortunately, there is a fairly large group of internet dwellers in our society that cannot see past the nonsense. To me, the true mark of an intellectual is someone who can take complicated subjects and explain them in such a way and with such language that the common man can understand. As Kevin Malone once said, "why use lot word when few word do trick."
When I was young I used to just agree when someone spoke like that to not appear dumb for not understanding. When I got older I realized there was a reason it didn't make sense

One thing i think has major importance to this case is that when terrance was a child, he witnessed his father stab another man to death while they were eaiting in line to see santa. One thing for sure is that trauma can lead to many mental health illnesses. He is not acting. He needs help
The incident is called "the Santa line slaying"

Eric Dyson is the champ of this. Well described.
