Here’s a clue: I learned how to clean blood vessels naturally I was getting dizzy which didn’t resolve by long slow deep breath, therefore it wasn’t respiratory but circulatory. Carotids tested positive for obstruction (clogging) I Learned that if you use mouth wash It destroys the natural essential bacteria needed ( so dont use mouth wash… ) if you have a good healthy hydrochloric acid in stomach Then eat DARK GREENS KALE beets SPINACH - those types of things it acts like a blood vessel cleaner - I happen to have low stomach acid (achloridria). So. I take apple cider Vinagar tablets with dark veggies and my dizziness is for most part gone in few weeks! If I keep it up my vessels will be clean again Does that help anyone? PS NEVER EVER TAKE ANT ACIDS BECAUSE ALTHOUGH it will temporarily make you “feel “ better it’s the opposite of what you need. You stomach acid pH needs to be around 2. Antacids are going to raise pH levels. If instead, you increase the acid in your stomach, it will close the espophogeal Gastric sphincter and heartburn will go away. try it It works! if you take any antacids Your food cannot be digested and it will rot, make gas bloating etc. Not good idea. Summary. NO mouth wash If not sure, take apple cider vinegar Eat dark greens or other dark veggies As far as fats are concerned, never use the seed oils Only organic raw unfiltered coconut oils organic butter grass fed butter meats Free range eggs no gmos no processed foods ( best you are able) sugar to minimum

My mother had been on a diet of “ mushed food” for choking risk. Horrible to look at. Switched to home made blueberry yogurt- gained weight, increased cognitive abilities in dementia and recovered from her “ death bed”.
I wish I could have done this for my mother. Do you know anything about SIBO? I think she had this and her friend who died a couple of years before her. If I had lived near her and made yogurt for her, which she loved, she might still be with us. Thanks, I will spread the word about home-made yogurt! Q: Do you advise a plant-based diet? Wonderful, uplifting, HOPEFUL show. I'm all in with Dr. Li and thank you profusely, Doug. Thank you for this fantastic program and asking all the right questions to get us started back onto the road to better and best health. A PEAR! And, yes, I've been talked out of eating more fruit -- which is pathetic -- but I love pears and tomatoes and am now inspired to eat better! God bless you BOTH. Thank you SO MUCH!!!!!
Don’t go hog wild on fruit though. You need to pay attention to smaller or moderate amounts relevant to your particular metabolism and needs. I am a diabetic on keto with IF and it serves me very well. But I feel best when I eat A LITTLE fruit. I eat 1/4 of large grapefruit with stevia on it every day after the 2nd meal of my 2 meals a day. If I ate it at breakfast it would tend to make my blood sugar go up too much and affect my blood sugars all day to be somewhat higher than otherwise. So I never eat fruit at breakfast. I eat it as my dessert after my only other meal of the day ( only 2 meals a day, rarely ever a snack). When I eat it after the meal which is protein & low carb vegetables then the sugar rise from it small. When I eat berries in my goat yogurt I can only tolerate 4 cherries at a time, 5-6 blueberries at a time and two strawberries. In fall I gather free unsprayed crabapples mid July thru early August before they seeeten and the same with wild pears. I gather red September apples unsprayed from the public venue and I eat the high polyphenol skins with a potato peeler and and eat those in my salad and give my friend the peeled apples to make apple sauce with ‘but the apple itself has too much sugar for me. Check your glucose levels when you eat fruit though to know what’s happening to your blood sugar. I figure I can tolerate 1/2 of a kiwi a day. I’m 70.
Thanks ! I am glad I found you in You Tube. Its so interesting working on health. The explanation in this video is clear , and easy to remind. Greets 🇳🇱

Keep up your good work Dr. Li you're really a blessings to everyone not knowing what kind of good food to eat to stay healthy and combat sickness.
I learned SO much about eating for health in this hour-long podcast. Eat one pear daily to get 6 grams of dietary fiber every day. True health isn't visible in the mirror or in the number on the scale. I appreciate the science he shared very much and also appreciate Dr. Li's ability to advocate moderation amid all the extreme diets touted now. Doug, you asked some great questions as well. I'm a 71-year young female, and I'm always interested in how to be more healthy and live longer. You have a new follower!
You're eating sugar every time you eat a pear. If you want to stay healthy fruits should be LOW on your list. Berries are the best, but all fruit should be eaten IN season and it will cause weight gain! Fruit signals the body to put on fat for the winter.

i saw Dr. Li with Dr.Mark Hyman a couple of weeks ago and bought his new book. I love his delivery in both writing and on this podcast. He is so definite about his beliefs and what food does in the body, but he leans heavily on people making their own judicious choices, given the scientific facts to elicit a healthy outcome. I live in Berlin where great organic food is on the corner, and there's nothing in his books that is inaccessible here. I'm 78. and was diagnosed with diabetes six years ago. I'm fortunate enough to have a doctor who believes that I am in tune with my own body, and knows I want to reduce the amount of metformin I take. My Alc is now 5.7, a drop from 6.1 in the last six months, but I've also lost 14 pounds in that time. I appreciate Dr. Li's trust in patients to lose weight, have a healthy metabolism and blood sugar and gut without drugs. He makes it feel so possible with a the most excellent reason to do so--overall good health through healthy food.

To Dr. Li's intro summary I would add 'attending to portion size' to carbo foods. We grow up eating double to quintuple portions of carbo - and one serving a meal is all we need in most cases. One slice of bread, 1/4 cup of pasta or rice is a serving. Double or triple the veg - and lower the carbo portion unless your life is very physically active.

I suffer from a great deal of inflammation and immune system issues. When I do a 16/8 intermittent fasting schedule, I feel so much better. I eat mostly plant based foods, and work hard to avoid simple carbs. I would like to work up to occasionally doing a 48 hour fast. It is a tool for cleansing me of the stuff that inflames me. It's all about how I feel, not about my weight.
The best news I have heard in my life. Dr Li takes broad strokes but illiterates with some details to make his points. Curexa is my favorite health program but Dr Li puts it all together better.
Thank you for this information. I think that if we are honest with ourselves, the majority of us are unhealthy due to our diet and it's important to focus on variety, natural foods and of course the quantity we eat. As he says, a treat now and then is fine 😊
Carnivore can act like a bandaid for certain gut issues, such as SIBO, because a carnivore diet doesn’t feed bad bacteria. For many, fixing the gut issue is the key fix. She can then eat normally again.
I did plant based and felt horrible physically. Joint pain - stomach pain and bloating. I’ve been a carnivore for 2 months now and haven’t felt this good in years. I can exercise more. Without pain! I have abs. Mental acuity. Also- my gut biome has changed. No more bloating. And I can eat/drink dairy where I used to be fairly intolerant
@@kimjones2056 he was an exception to the rule, generally dairy products contain casin that causes inflammation and cancer if you drink milk every day like your uncle
Overtime, it won’t. Just being plant based isn’t helpful. What you eat is what matters. You have to have balanced when plant based. It requires research & strategy. Dairy is harmful! It might have been alright in the past. And there are exceptions to the rule but they are doing too much to it in processing & to the animals to be good for us to drink every day. There are so many plant based foods that can give your body what milk does & more. Increase your research.
The doctor is right, yall better listen. Too much protein destroys organs. I’m on dialysis as result. No one ever said that even when I was spilling protein through my urine before dialysis. And they still advise me to eat even more protein, crazy! I changed to a plant based & I am seeing significant changes!

This was a wonderful, uplifting, and hopeful show. I am in 100% agreement with Dr. Li. I also incorporate into my diet pasture raised eggs from Vital Farms, 100% grass fed grass finished beef, and brown rice pasta. I also eat Ezekiel bread every morning with 100% whole milk organic Greek yogurt by Wallaby with red and yellow peppers, scallions, and radishes. I also drink 16 ounces of celery juice every morning on an empty stomach thanks to Medical Medium. Food is medicine and food can reverse diseases.
I use activated charcoal capsules to rid myself of occasional stomach issues if i or someone in my family has eaten an unhealthy food or processed food that didn't agree with us. It works very well. I also take an activated charcoal capsule occasionally ( maybe once a week or bi- weekly, when i remember) to potentially absorb any possible toxins i might have. It's only speculation that it's helping on that second idea, but for ending stomach upset, it seems to work very nicely. Also easy to keep a few activated charcoal capsules with you wherever you go on the road or at work. Easier to carry than an entire bottle of kaopectate, and for us, it's even more effective. But again, i think it's sometimes impossible to completely avoid processed foods. .. so maybe activated charcoal, taken on a schedule, once a week or bi-weekly, or even just once a month, might help remove toxicity from the digestive system.
It is not impossible to avid process food, I haven't had any for at least 10 years, when I travel I take a banana and an apple or fast if is not clean food, activate charcoal is great but also absorbe the nutrients of the food, so take it only when necessary, if you have an upset stomach it means that food is not good for you, even if society day it is, oats makes me sick so I don't eat them but the whole planet is saying is so good for you,
Dr. Li has some very good principles and practical tips on how whole plant foods can improve our metabolism. However, Sumo wrestlers are not healthy and do not live healthy lifestyles. To get to that weight they eat highly refined carbs with high fat. They are well known to have a much higher mortality than the average Japanese person. They also have a higher rate of osteoarthritis that begins in high school. Training for the Olympics is a very different goal than longevity. In fact, it is well known excess exercise suppresses the immune system and makes people susceptible to infectious diseases.
The first food on the list should be the word of God. The Bible said in Proverbs 4:22 For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.

I've shared Dr. William Li's UA-cam lectures with all my friends who have sadly developed cancer (many in their mid-70s). I have learned so much from him! Dr. Li is such a blessing!! Thank you!!
I hear you i just lost a friend and have been trying to get my sons on board before they become sick
😊
Dr. Li is so informed and presents his message in a simple, clear manner. Thank you Dr. Li and Doug Bopst!
He has touched on several things which click with ne. The body fat affecting how the brain reads the leptin is an eye opener. Also the "feeding my pets daily" analogy to gut bacteria is helpful bc I take excellent care of my pets but not myself. Great intervuew. Thank you

Greetings from Johannesburg South Africa. Thank you so much for bringing on Dr Li. What a good teacher! Each time i listen to him i gain so much knowledge and am well pleased to try and implement this pattern of eating to have a better life. Bless him. Thank you Lord!
Here’s a clue:
I learned how to clean blood vessels naturally
I was getting dizzy which didn’t resolve by long slow deep breath, therefore it wasn’t respiratory but circulatory.
Carotids tested positive for obstruction (clogging)
I Learned that if you use mouth wash
It destroys the natural essential bacteria needed ( so dont use mouth wash… )
if you have a good healthy hydrochloric acid in stomach
Then eat DARK GREENS KALE beets SPINACH - those types of things it acts like a blood vessel cleaner - I happen to have low stomach acid (achloridria). So. I take apple cider Vinagar tablets with dark veggies and my dizziness is for most part gone in few weeks!
If I keep it up my vessels will be clean again
Does that help anyone?
PS
NEVER EVER TAKE ANT ACIDS BECAUSE ALTHOUGH it will temporarily make you “feel “ better it’s the opposite of what you need.
You stomach acid pH needs to be around 2. Antacids are going to raise pH levels.
If instead, you increase the acid in your stomach, it will close the espophogeal Gastric sphincter and heartburn will go away. try it
It works!
if you take any antacids
Your food cannot be digested and it will rot, make gas bloating etc. Not good idea.
Summary. NO mouth wash
If not sure, take apple cider vinegar
Eat dark greens or other dark veggies
As far as fats are concerned, never use the seed oils
Only organic raw unfiltered coconut oils organic butter grass fed butter meats
Free range eggs no gmos
no processed foods ( best you are able)
sugar to minimum
High oxalate foods. Good recipe for creating kidney stones if you are a stone former.
Thanks Dr Li for helping us to live a better healthy life. Also helping us to heal our bodies. Thanks ❤❤❤

Great to hear!!!
I wish I could have done this for my mother. Do you know anything about SIBO? I think she had this and her friend who died a couple of years before her. Mom died of failure to thrive, could only eat a little bit, nausea, no appetite, diarrhea . She was 89 pounds or less. She survived Covid only to get RSV a few weeks later. If I had lived near her and made yogurt for her, which she loved, she might still be with us. Thanks, I will spread the word about home-made yogurt! Q: Do you advise a plant-based diet? I had to begin including grass-fed beef. I disagree with some of what Dr. Li states.

We need this kind of health education, thank you so much

Such a voice of reason and so refreshing to hear.
I love listening to your abundance healthy tips. Dr. Li is truly a blessings for sharing his scientific knowledge when it comes to having a good healthy body, plus his many good examples not to mentioned.
@@TheresaGraf Although fruits are high in fructose, but it digests faster and follows a different pathway and does not make you gain weight. It can however give you a fatty liver long term
@@geraldineoha9433 Scientists at the University of California studied the effect of fructose and found that it caused more belly fat and raised cholesterol. All sugar, including the fructose in fresh fruit, raises your body blood sugar, PERIOD. If you have cancer you should AVOID fruit.

Is it the greenish avocado🥑 pear or the native pear?
One large pear a day lowering your risk of mortality by 30% is really an amazing fact that I will immediately start on tomorrow 😀.
Try incorporating intermittent fasting and you'll be even better!

What a wonderful man, I listen to him twice today...I am 70 and have just been covid positive ..Will use his advice for diet
To Dr. Li's intro summary I would add 'attending to portion size' to carbo foods. We grow up eating double to quintuple portions of carbo - and one serving a meal is all we need in most cases. One slice of bread, 1/4 cup of pasta or rice is a serving.
Double or triple the veg - and lower the carbo portion unless your life is very physically active.

water, good choices plant based foods, avoid ultra processed foods,
no added sugars, no added salt,
green tea, organic coffee beans.
Thank you. Is this the complete list of foods recommended by Dr Li ?
Good summary but still incomplete👋
Caffeine is not good for us, it depletes electrolytes, vitamins and minerals and simply blocks the neurotransmitters of fatigue so it’s a false feeling of energy and increases adrenaline etc. Hence why it can deplete our nutrients instead of giving true energy with nutrients. Yes green tea and coffee have antioxidants because they are plants but just get your antioxidants from non caffeinated sources.
My book Eat to Beat Diet arrived yesterday...so excited!
How much does it cost?Tks

I suffer from a great deal of inflammation and immune system issues. When I do a 16/8 intermittent fasting schedule, I feel so much better. I eat mostly plant based foods, and work hard to avoid simple carbs. I would like to work up to occasionally doing a 48 hour fast. It is a tool for cleansing me of the stuff that inflames me. It's all about how I feel, not about my weight.
I did 18 hr fasting everyday..Hellps loose weight but mainly for my health overall.
😅
You can't go wrong with an alkaline diet and omega 3 oil. Ginger and tumeric help a great deal
Helps tho🥰🥰🥰
Have you tried cutting out specific foods and watching the results? Sounds like it could be a food allergy.

Thank you for this information. I think that if we are honest with ourselves, the majority of us are unhealthy due to our diet and it's important to focus on variety, natural foods and of course the quantity we eat. As he says, a treat now and then is fine 😊

I have a daughter who had lots of health issues with carnivore and her health issues disappeared she lost 50 pounds and looks fantastic feels good too
Congratulations
Wish you good health always👌
Carnivore gave her problems or took her problems away?
Dairy causes inflammation which turns into immune dysfunction and cancer eventually
@@happinessispresentwrong , farmers lived much longer than we do now. Most of them drank milk everyday. My uncle was 95 when he died

Love, Dr. Li, he speaks about a way to eat for health and nutrition the way most people should believe all things in moderation if you deprive yourself you can’t stick to it. One extra note don’t let yourself go hungry eat from the perimeter of the grocery store anything you wish before you get too hungry so that you don’t over eat

I do the same, they work well. 👍
How to take activated charcoal?
I thought charcoal causes cancer...😮
Do your research... It may prevent absorption of some minerals
It is not impossible to avid process food, I haven't had any for at least 10 years, when I travel I take a banana and an apple or fast if is not clean food, activate charcoal is great but also absorbe the nutrients of the food, so take it only when necessary, if you have an upset stomach it means that food is not good for you, even if society day it is, oats makes me sick so I don't eat them but the whole planet is saying is so good for you,
Thank you so much for this information...I am thin and have very high cholesterol..so much valuable education on living a healthier life style.
