    When it comes to the high-performers I work with, we optimize for quite a few factors… Nutrition, training, lifestyle, mindset.
    But there’s a small percentage of people whose results are just okay - They’ve adhered to the plan, but something needs more attention.
    So, our team does this ONE test and we’re able to see the greater picture. 10 times out of 10, when someone can’t get the results they’re after, we know exactly where to look.
    And that’s why I sought out today’s guest expert, Dr. William Davis, a cardiologist and NYT bestselling author of the Wheat Belly book series, and his recent book, Super Gut.
    Today’s interview with Dr. Davis takes a deep dive into the surprising root of almost ALL modern chronic disease, the MOST beneficial foods to add to your diet, and how to assess your probiotic needs based on your medical history.
    Amidst the plethora of emerging (and often conflicting) information on gut microbiome health, today’s episode with Dr. Davis reveals the key high-impact habits that EVERYONE can utilize, when it comes to digestion.
    You’ll learn:
    The Hidden Link in Almost EVERY Modern Chronic Disease
    Two Extremely Advantageous Foods (and Recipes!) to Add to Your Diet
    Five Species of Beneficial Probiotics for High-Impact Health Habits
    Two MAJOR Risk Factors for Leaky Gut and Endotoxemia

      Add L Coagulans and b bifidum bacterias to your daily routine. Per Gundry these are helpful for weight loss. I mixed one probiotic pill (opened it up and added to small amount of milk) of each with a scoop of inulin powder and stirred it into my reuteri yogurt. I haven't been hungry since my first serving. I find probiotic pills all work a lot better if I REHYDRATE the capsule contents and let them "wake up" a while before consuming them.

      Likewise. I’ve been on the yogurt for 6 months straight and have reaped many of the benefits as well, including muscle gains at 53. It’s so hard to eat only a half cup serving, as it tastes so good. Daily I probably eat around 1 cup to 1 and a quarter cups. My sleep has never been better, and even though I’m a man, I’m enjoying the explosion of dermal collagen like the ladies.

    Ben thank you for a great video, I did think there was one point missed that I saw on another video, that is if your gut is on a poor diet you would have to take these everyday as they can not thrive and reproduce in a negative environment and die, whereas in a healthy environment they thrive and become a permanent group in your micro biome as with our ancestors, so the right biome is necessary ie prebiotic for their food etc, thanks again.

    My histamines intolerance became very apparent on carnivore diet. Migraines and sinusitis intensified and were more frequent and severe as always . However I knew I was on the right track because my brain works amazingly well on carnivore. Through my carnivore journey I had many time periods without dairy but also had really intense pull to eat fermented dairy that did not change. Eventually last two weeks something started changing. No more pressure after having slice of cheese or few spoons of yogurt. My sleep definitely improved a lot after regular yogurt. So did my first batch of reuteri fermented yogurt and sleep really well.

    Great info! Curious as to Dr Davis’ views on hardcore carnivore diet that seems to be supported by a truckload of anecdotal information. I’ve seen him say that he is sceptical about it and that makes sense to me.
      Sure it’s clear that people are having great success on all carnivore. Meat heals.
      But long term? I’m not so sure.
      I’ve seen people get good results on all vegan too until they don’t.
      I’m no scientist but it seems to me that we don’t have the digestive system of carnivores any more than we have the digestive system of herbivores. Therefore omnivore only makes sense to me.
      Removing grains and sugars however I think is great for all of us.

    • @caryg4638
      @caryg4638 2 місяці тому +2

      There is a reason you need it in the first place. It’s possible that you have low stomach acid, which means that your body is constantly producing acid to try to digest food because your acid isn’t strong enough and your digestive enzymes may not be good enough. You should try going the other direction. Take digestive enzymes and consider an HCl pill for the increase in stomach acid, which will diminish this reflux. Be careful with the HCl though, as overtime it could cause you bone issues because of the need for more bicarbonates to neutralize this acid. You should up your alkaline water and calcium magnesium and or bicarbonate water intake between (not with) meals to counteract it.
      Try in taking more salt too, which allows your body to produce acid naturally. Also, get tested for H pylori, which could be another reason for the increased acid production.

    From and I’ve had issues all year. The opposite of what you’d want. I’m doing a little better after listening to Dr. Williams for a week. I hope it goes back to normal and better. Thanks guys! Probiotics work but don’t just trust any brand.

    • @lorimav
      @lorimav 3 місяці тому +1

      I've heard that from Dr. Lustig also. I don't know where those statistics came from. Nevertheless our livers must be in trouble because the highest number in the reference range for ALT has risen considerably over the years. The upper limit has risen from 25 to 40. Look at the rates of obesity and diabetes how they have increased sharply. It's not the only risk factor but I don't think it's surprising that fatty liver and those on liver transplant lists have risen so high.

I have not seen dr williams discuss this. I would like to see more human studies on consumption of ancient grains and inflamation.

      @@deepost2604Could you suggest a decent yogurt maker?

    • @paulinethomas1611
      @paulinethomas1611 Рік тому +13

      You do not stand over the yogurt machine for 36 hours. Once you’ve prepped your yogurt mix and set your yogurt machine you simply leave the liquid yogurt mix to multiply and thicken itself over the next 36 hours. I would say that if you simmer your milk for 20 mins at 88 degrees Celsius as in the suggested method I use, then cool it quickly over ice, it should take no more than an hour of effort. I usually do something else whilst the milk cools to 38 degrees Celsius. The result from my Luvele yogurt maker is superb. A thick creamy delicious yogurt. I am in UK so use a milk mix of 1400 ml whole milk and 200 ml of fresh double cream. The first batch of yogurt is thinner than subsequent batches made from itself as a starter. I start about 8 pm and by 9pm is in the machine. The yogurt is ready 36 hours later at 9 am. Timing is important. So I always make it between the hours 6-9pm according to the morning activity 36 hours later. We cannot get half and half in Uk but the more cream you use the thicker the yogurt. Delicious and worth the effort. It really curbs the appetite and makes me ache less.
