When it comes to the high-performers I work with, we optimize for quite a few factors… Nutrition, training, lifestyle, mindset.
But there’s a small percentage of people whose results are just okay - They’ve adhered to the plan, but something needs more attention.
So, our team does this ONE test and we’re able to see the greater picture. 10 times out of 10, when someone can’t get the results they’re after, we know exactly where to look.
And that’s why I sought out today’s guest expert, Dr. William Davis, a cardiologist and NYT bestselling author of the Wheat Belly book series, and his recent book, Super Gut.
Today’s interview with Dr. Davis takes a deep dive into the surprising root of almost ALL modern chronic disease, the MOST beneficial foods to add to your diet, and how to assess your probiotic needs based on your medical history.
Amidst the plethora of emerging (and often conflicting) information on gut microbiome health, today’s episode with Dr. Davis reveals the key high-impact habits that EVERYONE can utilize, when it comes to digestion.
You’ll learn:
The Hidden Link in Almost EVERY Modern Chronic Disease
Two Extremely Advantageous Foods (and Recipes!) to Add to Your Diet

WHY WHY WHY WHYYYYY can’t the majority of MD’s be like this kind well spoken humanitarian. THANK YOU, DR.DAVIS, and interviewer!!!
5 stars guys🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
They want WEALTH.
Yes years ago I bought some of Amos Miller's raw camel milk that seemed to get my autistic grandson talking and eye contact for a while. Obviously Amos been shut down now. But did anyone know which bacteria, is it Reuters that's so beneficial?
Why can't more doctors be like this? Because they are in it FOR THE MONEY. If they CURE someone they LOSE a patient to milk for money.
Because it’s a Big Club, and we’re not in it.
I'm a doctor and this podcast is a eureka moment for me . Dr.Davis Should be sponsored and helped by the government to start a medical school .WE doctors in the 3rd world countries have to deal with miles of red tape and loads of beurocratin ruteri to start working on something so amazing. Thanks to the internet and such honest souls for the information we can get.
Yes that would be amazing but the government is bought off and controlled by big corporations and big pharmaceutical companies. Unfortunately that will never happen unless there is a major shift in thinking and removal of the government. They are the problem. No money in healthy people 😢
i agree. dr davis is amazing
the most amazing part is he s been doing this more then five years and still out there. do you know baleski and cancer around rosenberg texas. basicly cancer is parasite.i think they so close in global control they can't control the massive information now. apocolypse trans lates to unveiling
For any person to be able to make some of the connections this one smart man has is a pure grace and inspiration from God! That this smart man is so energetically intent on sharing his discoveries with the rest of the world is a great blessing to all of humanity. God, please protect Dr. William Davis so he can continue to get this info out to all who have ears to hear. Amen
Been on L-Reuteri for a month...enjoying the benefits the doc speaks of....some days eat little but the yogurt....some days eat almost a whole quart....upset stomach and diarehha once or twice...lots of good body changes and mental too....getting off sugar been tough, but still improvements....wanting to gain weight and muscle mass
Add L Coagulans and b bifidum bacterias to your daily routine. Per Gundry these are helpful for weight loss. I mixed one probiotic pill (opened it up and added to small amount of milk) of each with a scoop of inulin powder and stirred it into my reuteri yogurt. I haven't been hungry since my first serving. I find probiotic pills all work a lot better if I REHYDRATE the capsule contents and let them "wake up" a while before consuming them.
@@lorenesquires8825 But he wants to Gain weight, as do I …
Likewise. I’ve been on the yogurt for 6 months straight and have reaped many of the benefits as well, including muscle gains at 53. It’s so hard to eat only a half cup serving, as it tastes so good. Daily I probably eat around 1 cup to 1 and a quarter cups. My sleep has never been better, and even though I’m a man, I’m enjoying the explosion of dermal collagen like the ladies.
@@skipmcelhenny7325
Do you make your own yogurt?
I am learning to become a gut ologist.
I agree.....its fascinating and the only real way to health.
One bad thing for me?
Im spending a fortune on shaving gear!
wtf?
Im on his L reuteri yogurt and now I need to shave every day at 71.
The last few years I could go 3 days between shaving.
I know exactly why.......higher testosterlne now!
Also vivid (usually) dreams every night, and a little stronger in the gym.
Ohhh one more....chronic shyness is mostly gone. Social boldness vs extreme introversion.
Thank you good Doctor!
I have been on l. Reuteri for just one week. I have experienced the same thing. Simply amazing!
We love you, thank you for not fearing to speak the TRUTH!!! Truth rules🔥🍎♥️🌹🤗
Been using the L-Reuteri for almost a year now, does everything he says it does. It’s fantastic. Got my family and friends on it with similar result. The instant pot & yogurt makers don’t work well, the sous vide is the only way to go. Save your time & money by getting a sous vide from the get go
i've had good success with the "surteck" yogurt maker ( amazon, $42 )...it does have an exact numerical temperature setting.
Can you give some examples of foods that do not do well in insta- pot - I was about to be able to afford the smallest one, As I would only mostly need for myself & possibly a guest. And your comment just introduced me to the sous vide. I typed that in UA-cam search bar & wow, tons of info, just blew me away that I never heard of it before.
can u pls explain how it is done sous vide, thks
I bought a yogurt maker from Amazon that includes 8 little glass jars. I've done 2 batches now and both were just as Dr. Davis described. First batch had a little separation, second was smooth creamy yogurt. So the cheap yogurt makers absolutely work for this.
Dont understand any of that
May be the best interview I've ever watched. He's so thorough and enthusiastic. BRILLIANT!!!!! Has answers that work. Mama' s milk is the answer
I bought the Luvele yogurt maker here in Canada for like $130 and it’s the best purchase I’ve ever made. The thing is always running! L-Reuteri is in my daily routine and I LOVE it, and dr Davis for helping me with my health autonomy! ❤️❤️❤️
Thankyou. I looked it up.
This is a scientific BREAKTHROUGH! Thank YOU, Dr. Davis, for your research and honesty. You are a hero! Much love and gratitude.

Hi Dr.
After 8 years of pain illness after being given Ciproflaxon. I decided to try Ivermectin since it's a parasite killer. You know I have been feeling so good since that first dose 6 weeks ago. I have no more leaky gut sibo. I am waiting for my yogurt machine so I can make your special yogurt. At 68, I am feeling better now than ever
I’ve been thinking that Ben and Dr Davis were a natural fit for collaboration. Reuteri yogurt is a game changer.
major piece. knew a certain amount about fermentation and have cultured a number of things on going, but i did not know about reuteri. and it's diy!!! shared and will put information into action soon. thanks, ben.
Thank you so much for the microbiome information. Dr. Davis is ahead of his time. So easy to make L Reutier, and so good for you! Been having this for a few months now my husband and I feel great! 5 stars .
Best interview with Dr Davis that I’ve seen!!!👏👏👏
Excellent info. Such a brilliant Dr. I hope they don't make him out to be a quack because he's challenging the medical establishment.

Please confirm these are the correct ingredients & source.
Thankyou
Ben thank you for a great video, I did think there was one point missed that I saw on another video, that is if your gut is on a poor diet you would have to take these everyday as they can not thrive and reproduce in a negative environment and die, whereas in a healthy environment they thrive and become a permanent group in your micro biome as with our ancestors, so the right biome is necessary ie prebiotic for their food etc, thanks again.
Super questions Ben... complex yet right to the point. Bravo
Medical doctor can't or won't help me so I have to keep trying the beliefs or treatment I find here. Dr. Davis's ideas are very interesting, I'm definitely gone to give this a try. I've already made the yogurt, it was easy and came out great.
How do u make it??

wow your ability to stay up with the great dr. davis. is amazing. good job
My histamines intolerance became very apparent on carnivore diet. Migraines and sinusitis intensified and were more frequent and severe as always . However I knew I was on the right track because my brain works amazingly well on carnivore. Through my carnivore journey I had many time periods without dairy but also had really intense pull to eat fermented dairy that did not change. Eventually last two weeks something started changing. No more pressure after having slice of cheese or few spoons of yogurt. My sleep definitely improved a lot after regular yogurt. So did my first batch of reuteri fermented yogurt and sleep really well.
Did you notice any difference with the histamine intolerance ? Thanks
@@Sayiam there is big improvement with tolerating dairy, looks like sinusitis doesn't flare up, however still very sensitive to aged meats.
@@lumay333 thanks for your response. I hope you continue to do better.
I noticed the first batch of L-reuteri from BioGaia has an off flavor because the tablets have a cough drop mental flavor which tastes weird in dairy. I suspect the second batch will not have that.
Thanks Ben. I greatly appreciate the information.
Great info! Curious as to Dr Davis’ views on hardcore carnivore diet that seems to be supported by a truckload of anecdotal information. However, I have seen consensus from other gut researchers and specialists that eliminating all fibre and mass die off of the diversity of gut bacteria in exchange for potential inflammatory only gut bacteria from an all meat diet can be deteimental for long term health
I would be so interested in his opinion on that. Lots of people on carnivore getting rid of autoimmune conditions
Where are the studies that we can look at
I’ve seen him say that he is sceptical about it and that makes sense to me.
Sure it’s clear that people are having great success on all carnivore. Meat heals.
But long term? I’m not so sure.
I’ve seen people get good results on all vegan too until they don’t.
I’m no scientist but it seems to me that we don’t have the digestive system of carnivores any more than we have the digestive system of herbivores. Therefore omnivore only makes sense to me.
Removing grains and sugars however I think is great for all of us.
Great video, great information ❤
The first time I tried the L reuteri yoghurt I noticed the oxytocin effect. Within few days, better sleep. Other effects less dramatic.
Great information and talk. Can someone indicate a website to buy yogurt starter with L-reuteri? I live in England. Also, someone has mentioned SOUS VIDE - what is that? Thanks, Elena
That is a stick that you put in boiling water. You put your meat in a bag but I can’t think of the word right now. So then you put the meat in the bag and then the water and the sous cooks the meat.
@@catistrolling7333is it souse veid sorry can't spell right not sure why its beneficial ,
It's not a starter you purchase to make it. The tablets are made by a company called BioGaia that makes this special strain he uses of L Rueteri -
BioGaia Gastrus Gut Health Probiotic
But how to get off PPI?????It's been close to impossible!!..there needs to be more guidance on that!.Have tried to ween numerous times!.Anyone succeeded?
There is a reason you need it in the first place. It’s possible that you have low stomach acid, which means that your body is constantly producing acid to try to digest food because your acid isn’t strong enough and your digestive enzymes may not be good enough. You should try going the other direction. Take digestive enzymes and consider an HCl pill for the increase in stomach acid, which will diminish this reflux. Be careful with the HCl though, as overtime it could cause you bone issues because of the need for more bicarbonates to neutralize this acid. You should up your alkaline water and calcium magnesium and or bicarbonate water intake between (not with) meals to counteract it.
Try in taking more salt too, which allows your body to produce acid naturally. Also, get tested for H pylori, which could be another reason for the increased acid production.
Okay! I want to add to what he said about stool Probiotics. Yeah, I’m dumb. I’m a very healthy person but I wanted to be “jacked” We’ll say. I took these probiotics from “Olympians” from this company that I’m not entirely sure was legit. Anyway, that’s where they extracted them
From and I’ve had issues all year. The opposite of what you’d want. I’m doing a little better after listening to Dr. Williams for a week. I hope it goes back to normal and better. Thanks guys! Probiotics work but don’t just trust any brand.
The higher end instant pot has custom temperature control and makes fantastic super sticky natto...What about using that instant pot?
Indigo Nilli has videos on that
I use the InstantPot Pro and it works very well, although I've tested the temp twice and it's always about 3 degrees higher than what I set it at. So I set mine at 100 degrees and it reaches 103 which is fine
Hello. Where can I find the stats to back up the claim around minute 21 that 50% of the people in the US have fatty liver? Thanks.
I've heard that from Dr. Lustig also. I don't know where those statistics came from. Nevertheless our livers must be in trouble because the highest number in the reference range for ALT has risen considerably over the years. The upper limit has risen from 25 to 40. Look at the rates of obesity and diabetes how they have increased sharply. It's not the only risk factor but I don't think it's surprising that fatty liver and those on liver transplant lists have risen so high.
Dr Robert Lustig has some videos and a few books. He may mention it. He often speaks about NAFLD and fructose.
We need to pay more attention to more frequent bowel movements , so the fecal matter does not stay in us too long.
Tell em Steve
What is Drs opinion on covid jab? Did he take it??
I would think not, lol.
My thoughts would be no as well.
He also wrote a book titled Undoctored.
Gotta get you on Bobby Kennedy's team!! Getting America healthy again is a top priority!
This is pure gold❤❤❤
Will the sugars in fruits cause small particle LDL ? Thanks
I’ve seen Dr Davis say that you could have some berries/fruit with your L. Reuteri yogurt if you like so he’s not against it.
But with everything I think moderation is important.
I am on keto diet for almost 2 years now ..not taking any medicine for diabetes!
I feel like mycotoxins are one of the leading cause to disrupt the gut it’s more common than people think there in our environments, homes, HVAC systems, etc. This is was leading to most peoples sibo and sifo
I agree. Been dealing with it personally. The mold destroys the immune system and allows these other factors to come into play
Yes exactly! It’s what I’ve seen in 7 years of practice and now experiencing myself.
According to the EPA more than 50% of buildings have water damage.
@GutsyExecutiveCoach Are you a physician ? I was wondering if you've heard of Dr Jack Kruse, Dr Ben Lynch or Morley Robbins? They are the three I have been watching the most lately.
@@Needless2sayhow can we beat the black mould , it's, worrying how to treat
It's surprising that Dr. Davis seems to bevso accepting of the ingestion of alcohol, since Ive often read and heard that alcohol (in large amounts) disrupts the gut microbiome.
I did not hear him accept alcohol use..he said the high sugar could give you sibo within 3 days if consuming every day
Priceless wisdom!!
I have a milk allergy so I cant eat any dairy. Can I make the yogurt with a plant based milk?
In his book He mentioned, you can use coconut milk
Thanks😊
So I wonder about virus's... can they be eradicated too? Like simplex virus? And is there a specific strain for those that work?
The only thing i disagree with the doctor on is that if grains. Certain ancient grains appear to be good for health and proven with studies to actually lower inflamation! I have not seen dr williams discuss this. I would like to see more human studies on consumption of ancient grains and inflamation.

The problem is that precious information on habits and food is tainted by wrong perspectives that please the researcher. Alcohol is and will ever be a neuro toxin and has destroyed many lives and families.
The underlying cause of all chronic disease: metabolic disease/insulin resistance.
A chronic dental infection , mold exposure, nutritional deficiency, or a lack of sunlight can certainly contribute, I can attest to this.
Iam getting ready to do l reutiri yogurt.probiatics and mushrooms might heal the world!
I have very little energy can I take a lreuteri supplement instead of making yogurt?
I'm going to try them, they sell them on amazon
The problem is that the supplements have only a small fraction of what you get from a tablespoon of the yogurt.
Has it helped?
if we eat the L. Reuteri and/or SIBO yogurt, when do we stop? is there a danger if we keep eating these Lactobacillus yogurt that our gut will be over populated with them, hence causing other problem. Is too many of one type of bug, although a good bug, can cause some other unknown problem later?
If you stop, the problems will reoccur according to Donna Schwenk.

You don’t buy a yogurt to use on your first batch ,you only gonna use aniline and the probiotic
How much should a person comsume per day.
From all the videos I’ve watched, at least 1/2 cup of the yogurt per day. Some people eat more without ill effects.

Is raw milk unpasteurized Kiefer an option?
No it’s not the same.
Both are good.
Where to get it is the problem
Home fermented kefir with the use of kefir “grains” is very good. But it’s not the same. Milk kefir ferments at temperatures below body temperature.

He doesn’t say what you should do if you react to the probiotics. Do you get off it? Use a different microbe?
Dr. Davis’s website is only for high income people. He does not serve the low income people who need him the most.
There is definitely a little bit of an expense in buying the yogurt maker and the 3 strains and inulin. About $80-100.
That’s a bunch of crap. You don’t need to be wealthy to be healthy.
He is one of the few experts who provides a “make your own” solution. Try it. Once you’ve bought your yogurt maker/sous vid…your weekly supply of yogurt will cost you a quart of cream and a couple cents for resistant starch.
This guy is the real deal and provides lot of options to help you make your own healthy foods. I love the fact that he’s a medical doctor who doesn’t promote grains and the traditional standard American diet.
Making foods cheap with chemicals is what got us unhealthy to begin with. It’s going to cost more to buy the unadulterated foods to correct the sins if the BIG food conglomerates.
Is there a way to make a vegan version?
You will find recipe online where coconut milk is used
veganism is very unhealthy

@@cgrass4035 Zip thy lip.
I'll tell my boss I have to spend 36 hours in the kitchen making yogurt and I can't travel around out of town making sales. Dr Davis needs to develop a product that fits into the real world.
The 1/2 and 1/2 sits in the $35 yogurt maker for 36 hours while I go about my life. No, I don’t have to mind it. Might be the easiest thing in food prep.
You start a batch in the morning before work and harvest it at the same time before bed the next day - it's a game-changer and worth the effort. You can also make several quarts at a time and not have to do it for over a week.
@@deepost2604Could you suggest a decent yogurt maker?
You do not stand over the yogurt machine for 36 hours. Once you’ve prepped your yogurt mix and set your yogurt machine you simply leave the liquid yogurt mix to multiply and thicken itself over the next 36 hours. I would say that if you simmer your milk for 20 mins at 88 degrees Celsius as in the suggested method I use, then cool it quickly over ice, it should take no more than an hour of effort. I usually do something else whilst the milk cools to 38 degrees Celsius. The result from my Luvele yogurt maker is superb. A thick creamy delicious yogurt. I am in UK so use a milk mix of 1400 ml whole milk and 200 ml of fresh double cream. The first batch of yogurt is thinner than subsequent batches made from itself as a starter. I start about 8 pm and by 9pm is in the machine. The yogurt is ready 36 hours later at 9 am. Timing is important. So I always make it between the hours 6-9pm according to the morning activity 36 hours later. We cannot get half and half in Uk but the more cream you use the thicker the yogurt. Delicious and worth the effort. It really curbs the appetite and makes me ache less.
If you had any gumption and drive, you would BE the boss and make all the yogurt you want. Poor excuse!
thumbs down, people would do all this work.
I put the 1/2 and half in the yogurt maker, set the time for 36 hours and walked off. Where’s the work?
believe me, it is worth the effort if your state of being is not what it used to be
Thats super weird thinking 😂 well if u dont have the 3minutes per week to make yoghurt for ur health, thats ur choise my friend. Obviously u are not at all sick enough yet, or ur illness have already eaten away ur ability to think straight 😛
Such thought is a symptom of a dysfunctional bowel. 😂
