What I especially love about your recipes is that you make them so accsesible and affordable, using simple ingriedients and uncomplicated methods to prepare and cook. STILL you manage making such special and incredibly delicous meals!
LOVE that you talk during the introin this one! Aesthetically I find your silent ingredient intros lovely, but I have some trouble watching on screen after a brain injury. Listening is a lot easier for me☺️ thank you for your efforts!! big love
As a kid, I hated Brussels sprouts as my Mom would boil the heck out of them, leaving them soggy and mushy. These days though, I eat Brussels sprouts many times per week--in salads, in stir-fries, in breakfast casseroles, roasted in the oven. When cooked the right way, they are delicious! This recipe then is right up my ally!
This is at least partially because Brussels sprouts actually taste better than they used to! I remember reading an article a couple years ago and you can easily find several of them now. In short, back in 1999, scientists identified particular compounds in Brussels sprouts that were most responsible for their bitter taste, and since then, we've selectively bred them such that today's crops are lower in those compounds than they were in the past. I remember the boiled Brussels sprouts, too, and I wonder if our parents had to do that because they'd be too bitter otherwise.
Selling my family on Brussels sprouts is a heavy lift, but this recipe looks like it's worth a shot. Hope you're doing well, too, Andrew. (That's a little poem.)
What a fantastic start to the day! 🎉🎉🎉If you had told me when I was a kid that Brussels Sprouts would ever be drool-worthy I would have asked if you were joking. 😂 Delicious and FESTIVE!
Mmmmmm. Have a bottle of pomegranate sauce I picked up a long while ago and haven't done anything with, I'm sure I can use it instead of juice. This is so original and looks fancy. Could make it to a holiday table this year.
This looks great. One day I will give this a try. I’m not a fan of Tofu, but maybe this recipe will change my mind because of the pomegranate sauce. I love Brussels sprouts will definitely try them. 👍🏾
@@thenarddogcooks Yo Dog , little feedback here As you know , I never ever would imagine myself "slamming" or disrespecting anyone here on YT. Never have and never will as it is not in my Helix to do so. Plus , I prefer to believe I still have some integrity. That should be a respectable disclaimer here. I prepared this dish last night and it is absolutely wonderful. Keeping in mind , I live in Colorado. The marinade is spot on!! I will add just a hint more of the Worcestershire and back off on the Balsamic Vinegar because the GLAZE has enough vinegar already. That is obviously completely a personal preference there. Bowl #2 is beautiful in flavor but way too much leftover dry ingredients afterwards. Now , if I opened another package of tofu , might have been a perfect amount. The added coconut rocks!!! Again , no big deal here. Speaking of tofu , I failed miserably splitting my tofu with these thumbs of mine. The organic appearance totally rocks but I just crumbled instead of split my FIRM tofu. Maybe EXTRA firm is the better way to go about it. But the end result was gorgeous compared to slicing the tofu with a knife. The Balsamic sauce for the sprouts is beautiful and a must try for everyone. However , the pomegranate rice vinegar was a bit too pronounced for me. Again , personal taste buds. Any advice to sweeten up the glaze would be welcomed. Thanx for the tip setting the Brussel Sprouts face down. That really helped with the roasting process and my oven at 450F needed the full 25 min. My plan is to present this dish with a brown rice underlay for Thanksgiving. The assortment of colors with this dish against the turkey and potatoes and random side dishes will be a welcoming sight for sure. I am also attempting to tackle your latest video of dinner rolls to bring along as well. Wish me luck with that adventure. I really appreciate your channel and thanx for all the extra research that you involve us in. And as always , Believe In Good Stay Strong , Cheers
I absolutely love your recipes. This recipe look absolutely flavorful and I would love to try it. Do you have any suggestions to substitute for the tofu?

So I'm a post-menopausal woman that recently started testosterone replacement therapy. We're still working on the right dosage. Last time I got my pellet they bumped it up 2 notches and now, according to my husband 30 seconds ago, I sound *exactly* like the Nard Dog unless I strain my voice to get in my normal register. I guess we'll be turning it down a bit next time, lol!
Maybe cranberry? You'd probably want to adjust the amount of agave, depending on how much the cranberry juice has been sweetened. Just thinking out loud - let's see what the Nard Dog says. :)
it is! Annie's used to make it. But now there's a Whole Foods one. And if I can't find either, I usually just go with steak sauce since they are normally vegan, but I always read the back just in case.
@@thenarddogcooks yep. Always reading the labels with my phone because it's written in this secret language. Might as well make my own sauces at home. Have you considered that line of videos? Just sauces/dressings?
I'm sorry. I gonna unsub. Everything you do is super expensive stuff that no normal person can afford to eat regularly. This just isn't realistic financially for me.
The way I give a thumbs up before watching the entire content because I know it's going to be something delicious & saved this one to My favorites 🤗
Me too 😊😋
Same
I did too 🧡💛

🥹 i really try! I want people to know it doesn't have to be difficult to eat well. thanks for the recognition ❤️
It’s amazing to me that you can show how to make something so special in about six minutes. And it never seems rushed. I’m definitely trying this out!

That "I hope you're doing well" felt like it had more to it. Sigh. 🧘♀️ Anyway, solid recipe. Pinned it with the rolls.
Yum
I'm on this as we speak
Warchester shire :D for the authentic english Nard, it's pronounced Wooster sheer :D
It looks great -- except for the fact that I don't like pomegranate. Any suggestions on a substitute? I hope you're doing well, too.

@@racheldebasitis8184 I like this idea! Thank you for the suggestion.
@racheldebasitis8184 is right on! cranberry juice, cherry juice or you could go with sweet chili sauce since thats where i developed this sauce from.😊

For those who don’t know. Kelloggs corn flakes are not vegan.
natures path cornflakes are a good choice and has whole food ingredients only

Your food is nearly always yellow. Have you considered different colors?
Actually this is the correct pronunciation: ua-cam.com/video/6usx5vS238Y/v-deo.html
