Reading this thread makes me so happy. Girl in Calico and Hopalong Hollow are two of my favorite channels because I value a simple life. Sometimes it feels like I'm the only person in the whole 21st century who appreciates this lifestyle (or at least the only person in my generation; I am 22), and it does me so much good to know that isn't true.

I would love to be a homemaker one day. I do plan on going to college and having a career, but those will take pause if I ever have kids. I would want them to be first in my life and to grow up in a nurturing environment.
While you were reading Psalm 65, something blossomed in my soul that almost brought tears to my eyes. There is something so wonderful about working outside, it make me feel like we get to be even closer to God. Every generation as it cycles out looks upon the next with despair and anxiety that theirs is indeed the last to survive this thing we refer to as life. With the current events, on the surface it is easy to say that is our case today. As my generation is now cycling through and nearing its end, it is so lovely to see dear ones as you which have grasped and understood the true essence of God's Creation; He always has a remnant; you are a beautiful soul. I pray that all your days here will be blessed with His abundant Grace as you and those of like mindedness carry the baton for another lap in this great race.
