RECIPE SWAP! 🍓 What are YOU making with strawberries this season? 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
🍓Strawberry Einkorn Cobbler🍓
1/2 cup of salted butter
1 cup of cane sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
2 2/3 cup of all-purpose einkorn flour or 2 cups of regular flour
4 cups of fruit
1/4 cup of sugar for sprinkling
Cream the butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time, stir in baking powder, vanilla, sea salt, and flour just until combined. Spread in a greased 9x13, cover the top in fruit and sprinkle with sugar. Bake on 325F for 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Enjoy with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or a hot cup of coffee!
Lately I have been putting my frozen strawberries in Jello. What we have here that grows wild is Saskatoon berries and chokecherries. With the Saskatoon berries mostly are for pies, or with cream. I made chokecherry wine once. Wild roses you can make jelly out of. Done that.. 😁
Kind of off: strawberry leaves (and saved flowers) dried for a whipped face moisturizer. It locks moisture against the skin :) I made a water kefir this morning with strawberry..mmm! I want to make strawberry jam (instead of jelly) but my family hates chunks. Anyone know if you put them in a blender or something they won't have that texture in the jam?
Just last night I made strawberry rhubarb jam 🍓
Благодарю 🙏 🌹
Absolutely beautiful! And it was kind of funny...my husband and I were eating homemade strawberry shortcake while we were watching this, so it was sort of like an interactive flavor experience. Lol.
I loved this video, all of the recipes looked delicious and the composition was beautiful. I’d love to see more videos like this with seasonal fruits 🤍
Thank you so much!! 💕 I might just have to do a blueberry one too 😉🫐
@@quietintheland of course! Your content is so inspiring, I truly appreciate it. I’d love to see a blueberry video! 😌
Those strawberries look amazing! Your videos are always so beautiful and inspiring. God has truly gifted you in many ways! 😊
Ever since the pandemic I’ve been living off locust and honey, but I’ll toss a strawberry on there if I have one.
I got some strawberries from a local farmer and my mom and I made roasted strawberry jam and a strawberry crisp with your recipe from The Spring Kitchen! 🍓👒🧺
Aww this makes me so happy! I love how that crisp recipe can really be made with any fruit. The einkorn cobbler is the same way! 💕💕
These all look very delicious and I love the "cozy mess" created in your kitchen! The vibrant colour of strawberries makes everything look even better! I really like the fruit spread idea, I've been trying to find ways to enjoy kefir recently, I think a combination of those two, would be great! Beautiful peaceful video! 🍓🍓❤
Hehe thank you! I do love a busy countertop 😉💕🍓
Those strawberries look so perfect and juicy. I call almost smell them. Thank you
Yum!😋I’m a huge fan of strawberries, so all these recipes look absolutely delicious!❤️

🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰delicious!
Thank you :) for these awesome recipes. I already made two out of three. I made the lemonade and the cobbler.
Aww this makes me so happy! I hope you loved them! ❤
Reminds me of home, summers in Wisconsin …🍓🍓🍓
Kaetlyn you are so cute!! Your videos & blog bring me so much joy and inspiration. Thank you for all that you do, God bless 💓
Aww! Thank you so much!! 🌷💕
I made the strawberry cobbler but used unbleached all purpose flour. I also added cinnamon because we love cinnamon. It was delicious!! I would call it more a shortbread (dense) than what I think of as a cobbler (more pie-like with a topping). Doesn’t really matter what it’s called though. The edges had a wonderful crispness. Thank you.
I'm so glad you liked it! Cinnamon sounds delicious. For future reference- if using all-purpose regular flour (not einkorn), it needs reduced. So instead of 2 2/3 cup, it would be 2 cups. It should be a moist cake-like texture ☺
My friends grandma makes freezer jam, and she used strawberries. It was soo good. Sweet memories.❤️😋🍓
Delicious! And so much easier than canning too! 🍓💕
Everything looks delicious! I have blackberries.
I love your videos
Thank you Rita! 💕
This recipes looks so yummy. It is also a strawberry season in Poland. I really love strawberries. Thank you for sharing. Greetings from Poland.
Yumm! Thank you for watching! 🥰
All videos are good I loved this video iam so exciting your looking so good
Love, not when you're lonely. But love, when you're ready! -Ellen Schreiber
Americans don’t know the difference between sweet and sickening. Love your recipes. Enjoy the end of spring.
When I make desserts from recipes I find I cut the sugar in half or sometimes more than half and just about every time when I tell my family, after they go on about how good it was, I tell them how much less sugar I used than what the recipe called for. Just about every time my kids tell me that was so sweet it would have been so nasty if you used that much sugar
@@mrs.coleman4049 We are pretty much the same here in our kitchen! Once you start cutting back your body adjusts and you really don't need a lot to satisfy the sweet tooth 🙌🏽
Thank you Jeanne! I have to agree with you there 😆
@@quietintheland we also use organic cane sugar
Can you do a new lookbook next time? I would love it! ❤️
Благодарю 🙏🌹

I am so happy you started to post weekly! I am always so excited to see your videos ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Diana! 💕
Hi God bless you Amen

I have strawberries . I may just eat them as they are.
I’m definitely saving this for later! I live in Zone 9, it isn’t strawberry season here until the Fall and Winter. While my garden is more tropical, I love watching your videos. I love seeing a garden in a place that has true seasons. You have such a gift for making videos, they’re so calming. ❤️
It is always interesting to learn about the variances in seasons throughout the world. Thank you Sarah! 💕💕
I don't know where it started? Strawberries will last alot longer if you place them in a glass jar. It really does work. I .love them but they go bad before I can consume them. So by placing them in a jar gives much more time to enjoy them. Place unwashef in a jar then place in your refrigerator.
That is great to know, thanks Rita! I'm going to try this with the flat we're picking up tomorrow. Do you put a lid on the jars or no?
Yes you put a lid on the jars. Putting them in a jar has worked great for me. They have lasted alot longer.
🥰
😍😋 🍓 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓 🥧
👍
Thank you for this video! Just this morning I brought a quart of strawberries at a local farmers market and I will definitely be using your recipes. I’m going to stop using a knife to cut the tops off my strawberries, just pinch them off like you do. beautiful video and thanks for the wonderful recipes! I also really love rhubarb and this is going to be the year why finally get a plant so I can grow my own.
I am also a young Christian, and your channel inspired me to start creating my own peaceful and encouraging content!❤️
Aww, how wonderful! All glory to God 💕 I will check out your channel 🥰
@@quietintheland aww that’s awesome thank you❤️
And for everyone else! Good souls aren't divided by what ones religion is. I love your channel.
What kind of flour did you use in the cobbler? Is there a way it could be made gluten free? It looks so tasty. I'm hoping to go strawberry picking soon.
I used all purpose einkorn flour (an ancient wheat). You could certainly try a 1:1 GF flour, but I've never tried that so I can't say for sure what the outcome would be
😊 The strawberry lemonade recipe you should try substituting the sugar for honey or agave let me know what you think?
Honey in lemonade is definitely a unique flavor but still delicious! You can use whatever sweetener you prefer 💕
how do you curl your hair?
Any idea how much sugar goes into the preserves? Also, how many pounds of strawberries? Maybe I’m missing something. 🤷♀️
1/4 cup of sugar to 1 pound of fruit 🍓
Where did you get the stirring tool? Is there a name for it?
Danish dough whisk
@@farinaceaclover I cannot find those anywhere, but, with a name, the search will be helpful. Thank you!
@@ravenhummel8202 Your welcome. They are available at Lehman's Hardware, King Arthur Flour, Breadtopia and Amazon and many other places. I hope this helps.
@@farinaceaclover Yes, it does. Now, can you take care of this potential derecho coming my way? LOL

Later this summer!
I have been following you for a couple of years TY I want to ask you … are you a happy person IRL? I’m just wondering. Have you found a person to share your life with again?🙏🏼♥️
Why don't we see you talking in your videos?
Because that's how I choose to make my videos ❤️
Arrr………!!!! No need to add sugar at all ……!!!🤔 even with lemon, strawberries have enough naturally sugar.
And we are astonished about all the problems of obesity in your country ……!!🤷♀️
There's no need to spread negativity on such a lovely video!
There's a HUGE difference between high fructose corn syrup/GMO sugar beets/artificial sweeteners VS. pure, organic, unrefined cane sugar. I have made it clear in the past that I am *not* a sugarphobe. I eat it cheerfully. However I also enjoy it in moderation. I cut down the sugar amounts in recipes significantly, and I also use honey, maple syrup, and coconut sugar when suitable for a recipe. God created sugar cane. Life is short, partake wisely, with joy. I talk about this in my ebook: www.calicoandtwine.com/library/traditional-eating
If you don't like it with sugar, just don't add sugar in yours 🙄. No need to be mean. Just enjoy the video
@@elliygxoxo i don’t need your advice !!…… so YOU keep it for yourself
@@quietintheland yes i am ok with that , i am just thinking about the part of responsibility of people how make recipes on utube and added sugar when not necessary and some poor people , who have diabetes or weight problems (that’s not my case) , sometimes not enough clever to adjust, following blindly the recipe and aggravate sadly their problems………that’s all.
I am working in Medical and sadly, we see in 2030, 70 % of world population should be obese. Terrible ………!!!!
I just think about those kind of people , it’s absolutely not to be mean, i like your video and i am sure about strawberries you can understand what i mean, i do it without sugar almost everyday and that’s ok, i think for that it’s not necessary at all, otherwise i also use brown sugar reasonably in my dessert recipe too……
