Hello Dr. O, I have battled my weight my entire life. I was previously on Trulicity, for almost two years. I'm currently taking Mounjaro to lower my A1C, and to lose weight. Hello and thank you for your comment. As you are not my patient and I have no idea as to your medical history, I cannot advise you as to how long you will need to continue taking Mounjaro once your weight loss goals have been met, particularly since it sounds as though you are also using the medicine to help lower your hemoglobin A1c. I am delighted to hear that you have found the medicine to truly help you with weight loss, and I wish you all the best on your health journey.

Hi and thank you for your comment!! I really thought I could use Google translate to send you a message, but clearly I was wrong as I am sitting next to my Austrian friend who is literally laughing at my response ! 😁 I am so happy that you found the information in the video helpful. It sounds like you are a pioneer for the weight loss program. Brova!! Who knows, maybe your doctor would benefit from seeing my video too!! I wish you all the best of good health!!
Such good information! I have been on Semaglutide since 3/28/23 doing the usual 4 weeks ea of .25, then .50, then 1.0, then 1.7 and now finally 2.4. I did not lose 1 single pound in those first 3 months! SO Discouraging, but luckily I did take my measurements each month and have lost 15 inches in this time period. Finally when I made it to the 1.7 dose I started losing 1 lb a week, and now that I'm at 2.4 I'm steadily losing 2 lbs a week. I feel fantastic and much more motivated & happy now that the scale is moving in the right direction. I've also been on WW thru this all. The Fibrous Fat talk you gave really hit me as it makes so much sense. My husband could feel my fat loosening up and he kept saying that all the time the scale didn't move. Some really helpful secrets I have learned off of youtube is #1 take your shots at night to avoid the nausea. Also when you get to the highest dose, give yourself the shot in the fat on the side of your thighs instead of your stomach and you won't get nausea. This was a game changer for me at least. Hope that helps someone like me (I still need to lose 50 lbs).
Hi ! Thank you so much for sharing your weight loss journey on my UA-cam channel. I apologize for not answering you sooner. I simply missed your wonderful remarks.😕 I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to hear how well you are doing. And, I must tell you how it is so kind of you to share your story so that others may learn from your experience. On or around August 10, I will be posting another video talking a bit more about understanding why at times it seems like the medicines are not working, not only at the start of the program, but also after being on the medicine for months. Hopefully, this will also help people understand what can happen in their body while on the medicine, and how to manage the changes! Again, thank you very much for your comment. I wish you continued success on your weight loss journey!
When insulin levels are too low….. how to combat this because this is the case with me yet you didn’t mention how to deal with it. Thank you in advance.
Hello doc! Thankyou for the guidance, I want to start this journey next year to lose about 50lbs. I don’t need to lose them immediately, I’m okay with losing 50lbs over 12 months. One thing I’m terrified of is loose skin and muscle loss. Can you please guide me through this? How to maintain a good body?
Hi!! Regarding timing of the medicines, I say take it at a time when you will remember to take it every week. Also I would add that on days that you take the medicine do not over eat as this may add to feelings of nausea, especially when starting the program. I hope the helps. Good luck!!
I am starting Trrzepatide today for weight loss. My biggest question is when I reach my goal weight, is there a maintenance program? and thank you for your videos. I subscribed and I am excited to continue this journey with you. Thank you.
Dr O, you asked for feedback about your video. Here’s a visual feedback….I think this video could have some color in the foreground/background. (There’s too much white…your smock, the furnishings, the walls.) Add a large plant, or some art on the wall to make it more visual and pop. P.S. - Love your content!
I'm glad I found your video. I took my 1st 0.25 shot of ozempic last Sunday. I have lost my appetite, but now I know to eat more fruits and vegetables and drink more water with lemon & lime. Is taking a teaspoon of sea moss okay to take at this time Dr. O? I have the more stubborn fat in my stomach, thanks for the tip of being patient.
Hi and thank you for your comment! Regarding taking a supplement like sea moss, you should be aware that over-the-counter vitamin business is not an FDA regulated industry. And as such, the variability between different brands, and the content of different supplements can vary greatly. So because of this, I am somewhat reluctant to recommend oral supplements, although I am sure that there are many brands out there that are excellent! Also, everyone’s gut is different; meaning that what you absorb when you take a supplement can be very different from what I absorb when I take a supplement. This variability is often related to genetics as well as your medical history and the medicines you take. It is also sometimes related to the biomes in your gut, which often facilitate the absorption of certain supplements. So the variability in gut absorption is a second reason why I am reluctant to recommend oral supplements. And finally, regarding taking sea moss, while there is likely no adverse effect of taking it with these medicines I urge you to ask your prescribing physician if it is appropriate for you as I cannot advise you on this as I do not know your medical history. I wish I could be more helpful. I wish you all the best.
Just started Wegovy. A little trepidation, but I'm exercising and eating small meals. Bloating really cuts down on how much I eat. Will definitely use the electrolyte drinks as I have noticed my sweat seems more salty. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with these drugs and their affect with our bodies.
Thanks Dr.Okoronkwo,I started at the lowest level and have only lost 3 pds.in a month, some violent side effects like constipation and vomiting, would Phenergan balance thus out? Thanks from TX!
This was very encouraging. I see ppl saying they lost 30 or 40lbs in 3 months or so...meanwhile im eating healthy and exercising consistently and im not seeing those results. I literally had to pack my scale bc I was feeling so bad after weighing myself. I am trying ro train my mind not to focus on the outside of my body but the inside and the good decisions im making now
Wow! You are a star!! Take measurements, hydrate with electrolytes if it is right for you) and go up on the dosage if it is appropriate. I wish you all the best!!!
Thank you Soo much for sharing. I am on Ozempic and for 6 months Nothing then family emergency and lost 15 lbs. Will increase water and electrolytes intake.
Hi and thank you for your comment. I am so happy that the program has started to “kick in” for you, and that you are loosing weight! Good luck on your journey!!
Hi and thank you for your comment! Regarding constipation, it is important to share your symptoms with your healthcare provider since there may be other reasons for you to have constipation, that I cannot possibly be aware of. That said, however, generally speaking to help with constipation, I recommend evaluating water intake, and make sure that you are getting those minerals/electrolytes in the food you eat as well. This way you can ensure that you hold onto the water you drink. Dehydration is a common cause of constipation. I hope this helps and I wish you all the best!!
Hi and thank you for your comment. Choosing the right medicine is a process that should be undertaking with you and your prescribing physician. The choice is based not only on your bloodwork, but other factors like your medical history, other medicines you may be taking, and even your response to other diabetic medicines. Particularly since you are a type II diabetic, and are taking these medicines primarily to control your insulin levels, I cannot recommend one over the other. I wish I could be more helpful. Best of luck on your health journey!!
Hi and thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, constipation is a possible side effect of taking these medicines. As always, hydration is a wonderful and effective way to fight constipation. And, do not forget to add electrolytes to help your body hold onto the fluid you drink. If your symptoms are severe, however, I recommend that you review your medical history with your physician as there may be other interventions that are appropriate for you. I hope this is helpful and I wish you all the best.

I am on week 5 with Ozempic - and I’m down pounds. I am still dealing with a lot of stomach upset so I am glad to know that the nausea will subside. Thanks for a very informative video.
Hi and thank you for your kind comment. I wish you all the best on your weight-loss journey. And be sure to check out my follow up video!😊
how's the stomach issues?
@@caissa6187 it’s getting better. It’s hard to tell how much is Ozempic and what are my chemotherapy treatments because they cause serious stomach upset and diarrhea. Thanks for asking, I’m down a total of 35 lbs, so I’m going to charge through.
Hows the stomach issues.???
@@lisalonghurst490 They are better now that I consume more fiber, but I pretty much had awful diarrhea and vomiting if I ate something that was too sweet. I don't have the nausea/vomiting as much as I have had diarrhea.
I been looking for something like this for a minute. To talk about this what I done to make work is (no more red meat) (one meal a day) (go to the gym 2 to 3 times a week for 1 hours) and I lost 87 pounds in two months ❤
Hi and thank you for your comment!!
I really thought I could use Google translate to send you a message, but clearly I was wrong as I am sitting next to my Austrian friend who is literally laughing at my response ! 😁
I am so happy that you found the information in the video helpful. It sounds like you are a pioneer for the weight loss program. Brova!! Who knows, maybe your doctor would benefit from seeing my video too!!
I wish you all the best of good health!!
Excellent information !!!! Thank you Dr. O 🎉🎉🎉
Very informative. I learned lots of information about the use of ozempic
Thank you. This was helpful. Love your authentic energy. Keep the videos coming!
Dr. O, this was such a great video!! So much knowledge and your presence is just so warming! Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words!!!
Very informative and straight to the point. Subscribed.
I simply missed your wonderful remarks.😕
I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to hear how well you are doing.
Thank you. Very well done!!
Thanks for this great information. It is helpful.
Fantastic information thank you from Scotland
@@andrenamcevoywilson3913 You are very welcome!! 😊
When insulin levels are too low….. how to combat this because this is the case with me yet you didn’t mention how to deal with it. Thank you in advance.
Thank you Dr. O! I'm starting tomorrow, God willing. So nervous. Wishing everyone the best on their weightloss journey! 🤗❤️🙏🏽
Great video --- lots of information and not boring!
Thank you very much!!!
That was useful and motivational! Ty!
You’ve got great energy and great advice. Keep up the good work Dr. O!
Thank you kindly!
Doctor what is the best time to take the meds, morning, noon evening night?
Hi!! Regarding timing of the medicines, I say take it at a time when you will remember to take it every week.
Also I would add that on days that you take the medicine do not over eat as this may add to feelings of nausea, especially when starting the program.
I hope the helps. Good luck!!
@@thedr.omethod4534 Thank you Dr.
I absolutely love your personality!
I had my first .25 injection of Wegovy last Friday and to my surprise, it’s started working pretty well!

I am starting Trrzepatide today for weight loss. My biggest question is when I reach my goal weight, is there a maintenance program? and thank you for your videos. I subscribed and I am excited to continue this journey with you. Thank you.

Excellent info and very well presented! Thanks Dr. O!
Just started on Wegovy and this info is so helpful!!! Thank you!!
You're so welcome!
Thank you for your comment.
This is excellent feedback. I will do my best to incorporate some of your suggestions in my next video!!

Awesome information , more water and electrolytes!
Yessss!!!
Which one of these meds good for the heart.
Incredibly helpful, thank you so much for this breakdown. It was so easy to understand and follow
Thank you for this! I’m 1 month in lost 9 lbs and trying to love the process but can’t help but to worry about staying the path!
You’re such a great doctor! You explain everything so well. You can tell you care
Thank you so much!!
Great great info Dr O! Hopefully you make more videos!
Dear Catherine,
Thank you for your kind comment.
I plan on putting out another video later this week. All the best!!
What are some good hydration supplement that you can recommend for a diabetic?
Great video!!!! Amazing job. Doctor
Hi and thank you for your comment. I am so happy for you as you embark on your journey and wish you good luck and good health!!
Great video! Thank you!
Are any of these for diabetic patients?
You did great. Thanks for the information
Thank you for the info!!
Great Tips thank you!
very, very interesting. Thanks for the information.
Do u kno what I can get prescribed to using Medicaid any substitutes
Thank you Soo much for sharing. I am on Ozempic and for 6 months Nothing then family emergency and lost 15 lbs. Will increase water and electrolytes intake.
Hi and thank you for your comment.
I am so happy that the program has started to “kick in” for you, and that you are loosing weight! Good luck on your journey!!
Just found your channel. Love your openness. Any suggestions on constipation?
Hi and thank you for your comment!
Regarding constipation, it is important to share your symptoms with your healthcare provider since there may be other reasons for you to have constipation, that I cannot possibly be aware of.
That said, however, generally speaking to help with constipation, I recommend evaluating water intake, and make sure that you are getting those minerals/electrolytes in the food you eat as well. This way you can ensure that you hold onto the water you drink. Dehydration is a common cause of constipation.
I hope this helps and I wish you all the best!!
@@thedr.omethod4534 thank you. I do need to evaluate my water intake 👍🏻
Which one do u prefer, ozempic or mounjaro to pts with 7.8 aic type 2
Hi and thank you for your comment.
Choosing the right medicine is a process that should be undertaking with you and your prescribing physician. The choice is based not only on your bloodwork, but other factors like your medical history, other medicines you may be taking, and even your response to other diabetic medicines.
Particularly since you are a type II diabetic, and are taking these medicines primarily to control your insulin levels, I cannot recommend one over the other.
I wish I could be more helpful. Best of luck on your health journey!!
How about semaglutide- ozempic- and constipation?
Hi and thank you for your comment.
Unfortunately, constipation is a possible side effect of taking these medicines. As always, hydration is a wonderful and effective way to fight constipation. And, do not forget to add electrolytes to help your body hold onto the fluid you drink.
If your symptoms are severe, however, I recommend that you review your medical history with your physician as there may be other interventions that are appropriate for you.
I hope this is helpful and I wish you all the best.
Wow Dr. O you video was very informative. Thank you
