Did you have side effects? I’m wondering us with type 2 diabetes is our bodies more use to it as we were taken tablet form beforehand I’m starting it next week
I have been on Wegovy for a month now. I have lost 6 lbs. I have noticed inches off all areas, like it’s burning from the inside out. It’s working. I’m off all sugar and eating very clean. 😊
@@mickwander8582 Hi, not the person you responded but I've been in ozempic for 3 weeks so far and I have lost 8 lbs. For me it has suppressed all sugar cravings, I do not have any aversion to it, but do not feel like eating it all the time. I can eat a green apple and that is enough for my sugar; this is coming from someone who has a sweet tooth
@@gabrieladubrocq896hey Gabriela, thanks for the your response. Great achievement I mist say. So I’ve started and for now I don’t feel like it cuts my cravings. I eat less for sure, but still like my chocolate bar, less off it though. Whats your dosage if I may ask?
I’m on week nine of Wegovy and have lost about 10lbs. I have auto immune disease and chronic inflammation. The first effect i noticed was a reduction in the inflammation symptoms that i typically feel - fluid retention and bloating. I feel like my lymphatic system is also working more efficiently. I’m realizing it’s super important to stay hydrated. That’s always important but seems to play key in Wegovy success. Thanks for these tips Dr. Yeung!
I have Lupus and have also noticed a definite decrease in inflammation. Since my blood sugar and A1C are much improved into normal ranges on Wegovy or Ozempic. I have been recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes rather than insulin resistance because I need the medication to maintain control. I have lost 30 pounds over 6 months. It works for me.
Thanks for the info Little Ninja ! What’s your autoimmune disease? I also have have an autoimmune problem (psoriasis skin and internal inflammation) and I’m eager to try something to ease the inflammation
@@mtm-hi5nm I deal with thyroid and psoriatic arthritis and general inflammation issues as a result of the two conditions. I'm going on 10 months now, and have seen a dramatic improvement in my my inflammatory markers, my thyroid is much more stable, and my slightly high cholesterol is no longer an issue. I've also been able to drop 35lbs (my goal was 25) and I feel fantastic. Now I'm working on strength training to replace all tha fluff with some healthy muscle. If you decide to go this route, make sure you stay well hydrated, expect to deal with some nausea and discomfort as your body adjusts, and know that in the long run this can be nothing short of life changing!
Hey, i just started Wegovy on monday. .25 my understanding is you lose the most weight at the 9 month mark. My daughter started in febuary 2023. She lost almost 50lbs. And still losing. She looks amazing. But there are times she feels like crap. Nauseated after eating. But she said its worth it. So thats why i just started myself. ❤ Good luck to you all. And dont forget, they say it takes awhile to see the most resaults. So hang in there and dont give up. 😉😁
@@lisamillar3938 do you take any vitamins ? I take B12, Olly beauty vitamins, and fiber gummies. You’re going to feel exhausted but things will get better.
@@finalGirl1397 I live with migraines so it’s nothing to me. Stay hydrated. I haven’t had any bad side affects just a little tired, constipation, diarrhea, But not too bad. Did things get better?
I’ve been on Wegovy since 03/17 and lost 42 lbs as of 08/11. Beyond eating less and more healthy, I’ve increased my physical activity (mostly only walking more). Wegovy has been a game changer for my weight loss struggle since my MVA.
Very good video. I started two weeks ago, I'm a male 167cm and I weighed in at 86KG when I went for the check. I barely made it with a BMI of 30. which is the minium BMI you need to have to use it here in Denmark. In my first week and a half ish, I've lost 4kg. Which by the sound of it is maybe too rapid. Unless it's mostly fluids. If anyone out there is considering it, don't hesitate to go on it. I've had very few sideeffects, and overall feels very good. I may not be eating as much as I should, but I guess that's good. Eating mostly tuna and red meat with lot's of salad. Great video, Dr. Brian Yeung :) I'll do some adjustments. Very informative. Good day to you
Ive been on it for 3 months i just finished the .5 and this Saturday i move to the 1. I went from 245 to 230lbs. No exercise. I start the 1 on Saturday so im going to be incorporating workouts and a new diet of just plain old basic nutrition plate. I figured i could use this time to learn portion control and better meals rather than going on a diet. I want a lifestyle change. ☺️ im so happy! I have more energy and no sugar cravings! A warning to people, sometimes i forget to eat, thats how strong it is. I find myself eating 1 meal a day so i have to set timers. Just be careful and take your vitamins!
If you were on a carnivore diet you would nothing but animal flesh, no spices or sauces no vegetables just meat. I assume you mean either the Paleo or Keto diet?
One thing I’ve noticed from being on semaglutide is that although it definitely reduces my cravings for solid food, it does nothing for beverages. If part of your addiction is sugary drinks, changing your behaviors is likely the emphasis of your weight loss journey.
I just went on Wegovy 2 weeks ago , my appetite wasn't big to begin with before starting. I've done keto diet for a year & only lost 20lbs & it also included walking and 3x gym workouts per week. Hoping this finally helps my body to shed the excess weight , 226lbs 5'3"
Had GB about four years ago. I went from over 340 to 180. I started lifting and put on some muscle, but i am also gaining some of the fat as well. I am up to around 240 right now. So, i started Ozempic. Sounds about the same of what i heard in the honeymoon phase of GB. My body has always done better on a lower carb routine. Time will tell how well it works (took my first shot two days ago).
My doctor has prescribed semiglutide that I'm having to get from a compound pharmacy because my insurance doesn't cover Wegovy but even if it did my regular pharmacy told me it was on backorder anyway. I'm insulin resistant and no matter what I do the weight won't come off. I've exercised like crazy, cut out sweets & carbs but in a 4 month period I lost only 3 pounds. It's very frustrating. I'm praying that I have good luck with this medication. 🙏
🙏🏾 Praying that your journey is successful. I started semaglutide in Feb 2023 and by Sept 2023 I’d lost 30lbs that lowered my chronic high blood pressure and allowed me to have my umbilical hernia lyposcopically repaired. I feel blessed to have found this medicine.
@@char90303 - Thank you very much! I've heard that it takes away your appetite. I've had only one shot so far and since it's only a once a week shot I'm not sure I've had time to experience the full effects of the shot yet. I'm starting on 5 units for 4 weeks, then 10 units for 4 weeks, then 20 for the rest of the time. The morning after my first shot I woke up not feeling too good and I wasn't hungry at all. I drank my morning coffee as usual but had nothing to eat. We had my daughter's baby shower later in the day and I ate at that but not a lot and I didn't have a lot to eat that night either. I haven't lost my appetite but have noticed that I am still hungry but seem to be satisfied after I eat and I'm not snacking between meals or eating late at night like I was - and this is after only one shot. I'd like to cut down on what I'm eating and it seems that hasn't yet happened. I'm still eating the same amount for dinner but I guess at least not snacking means I am eating less.
@@ladyjdabull5847a compound pharmacy is a pharmacy that mixes and distributes the medication to order rather than rely solely on manufacturer stock. I’ve been on Wegovy 0.25mg for 1 month and have lost 10lbs and inches around my stomach and lower body. I have paired Wegovy with working out 3-4times a week and eating more home cooked food rather than fast food. Excited about the results so far looking forward to more weight loss since I started on the 0.5mg recently. The 0.5mg has caused me more nausea I see I have to watch myself this month.
I have lost 58 lbs since last April.I have had some hair loss but I also take Thyroid medication and in menopause which can result in hair loss.I am very happy with the results so far on Ozempic. My A1C is 5.4 and I am off two medications for diabetes one being insulin.I have 5 lbs to lose to get to my first main goal and then about 10-15 to get to the ideal BMI for my height.I am no longer in plus size clothes and am very happy with that as well. I am on the first box of Ozempic. I never went any higher. I had quite a bit of nausea and headaches at first but that was from the other diabetic medications causing my blood sugar to run low.For myself, slow and easy has worked for me. I also eat on a small plate and eat kid size portions when eating out.
I’ve been on Ozempic since March 2023 and to date have lost 35 pounds. I’m now at my ideal weight! I’ve been a type 2 diabetic for 17 years and my A1C levels remain under 6 with this shot. I’ve found that I cannot eat spicy, fatty foods or sweets because they upset my stomach. Thank you for this video. It’s the first one I’ve seen that is truly informative!
I have been Manjuro for 8 months! I have lost 118 pounds I am having to switch to Oz in August at 2 mg dose! I still weigh 318 and have a lot more weight to lose! I am nervous that I will not achieve this with Ozempic
@@ampetke5913 well, I have not went in on it yet! I was able to stay on Mj for three months now! I have lost a total of 136lb!. I will be switching to Wegovy, because of my insurance not covering MJ! I started Ozempic 16 Jul @194 lbs. I'm currently at 163 lbs. I can assure you it works for weight loss. However, I've had horrible side effects: Explosive burps, severe nausea, fatigue, muscle weakness, muscle loss, severe constipation, dehydration, aversion to food.
@@doggiedoter I am sorry you have experienced those side effects! I have not had many side effects on Mj even at the highest dose! I praying I don’t on Wegovy! Are you still on Oz?
I've been on Wegovy for 4 months. I have no symptoms but exhaustion. I lost 10 pounds and I plateau. I can't seem to lose anymore weight. I gain a pound then lose it. I finally have strength to exercise but the weight loss is super slow for me.
Same here, I’m on 1.7 and honestly I have not lost much. I’m pretty sure I plateaued as well at this point, so it’s a bit discouraging. Who knows maybe slow and steady is best though. 🤷🏻♀️🙁
@@dismurrart6648 Thanks for asking. When I first started I was very lethargic, for like 3 months, then when I got to 1.7 I started feeling a little better. I started working, eating more veggies and protein but the weight loss is still slow. If I strive myself I see some weight loss, that can happen without Wegovy, but eating healthy and pushing myself at the gym the process is still slow to no progress. 😔 Best of luck to whomever you are.
Tldr: eat heavy meals like he said. Fat is great especially. I think if it like a camel storing water. Fill the tank to the top and slowly use the energy until empty and start again. Read on if you want to read about my theories and ideas on how I lost 95lbs so far. Over 8 months. I've been on 1mg Ozempic for about 8 months now. I've lost 95lbs. I started eating whatever I wanted. Usual 2 burgers and fries randomly or similar and found that due to the slow digestion of food one fast food meal would totally tide me over for 1 to 2 days before I got hungry enough. Id nibble of course (I didn't need to, I stopped the snacks altogether when I realized I was still digesting my last meal) but it was amazing. Now, there was a time I ran out of food and money and started eating leaner. Everything got messed up and I would binge more due to the low fat food that digsted too fast. I plateaued and even gain a few pounds. So yes, it seems weird but a nice heavy meal takes its time digesting and provides a steady stream of energy without all the blood sugar fluctuations from eating all the time. You honestly don't feel like eating and probably won't for a day. Picture this: that amazing satisfied feeling you get after eating a proper meal? And how you feel full until next meal time? That's what it feels like when you are digesting a meal over much longer time. If someone mentions food its repulsive. Not because you are sick, but you genuinely feel satiated until the next day or two. So you eat a fulfilling meal of 1200 to 1600 calories if you really push it. Now divide those calories by the days it takes to feel hungry again. If you eat leaner you are defeating the purpose as you aren't getting the benefit of nice steady sugar levels. So you end up eating way more calories than the big satisfying meal that makes you full forever. I will suddenly think about the fact that I didn't think about food even once in the day or two. Please note: I HATE eating and always resented having to eat to manage my hypoglycemia. This is no longer the case and no longer have spend half my life worrying about food. So your mileage may vary. I'm already predisposes to not wanting food. 100% believe now that eating light and "healthy" completety sabotages the benefits of nice slow digestion and a steady stream of energy. I'm back to normal now losing weight. What a weird experiment I got forced into ha. Make sure you pay attention to your nutrition and talk to your doctor about what supplements to take as you are no longer eating as much or varied foods.
@@davidjamesthomas whoops. I didn't see your comment. There are a few doctors talking about this. Try that first if you want, but try the big meal, preferrably around lunch. That diet you mentioned is for when you've reached your goals. I just wanted to let people know how I was most successful. Your goal is to keep your bloodsugar steady. Whenever you eat you are interrupting the process. So a nice meal of meat and potatoes can take 24 hours to digest so getting hungry isn't a thing. So you eat when you get hungry and eat what you want. So try both ways. I found if I ate small means my weight loss stopped. This drug is still being studied still. I just want to offer ideas on how I've lost 115lbs now.
I'm diabetic, with a long term eating disorder. I was in Mounjaro but all of a sudden it wasn't available anyway so now its Ozempic. I'm just don't have the cravings for sweet & fat any more. I'm drinking a lot more "fizzy water "Good thing my husband knows the way to the deli & the frozen food section. I don't diet. Relax! Take care of our skin & exercise.
I started my Wegovy 10/9 on Thursday.,. I don't feel any different, I still have my appetite, But I'll see how the weeks continue to go, how's it going with you Betty? 🙏
On second week of Wegovy and things are good. I am keeping a diary and tracking, but will be making a meal plan to follow. I have a lot to lose and am just thankful to have this medication. It is a long time coming. Genetics are tough.
I've been using it for 2 months and have NOT shed a pound. I have noticed that I've been more dehydrated, so my water intake has increased, and I've noticed that I've become more sensitive to salt and sugar so I have become more conscious of the intake and my appetite is becoming more suppressed. However, not a pound has shed yet. I am waiting patiently, tho.
It takes a few months to ramp up the medication while your body gets used to it. Most people dont see much weight loss until they are taking a 1 mg injection once a week. Trying to ramp up the meds too soon can result in side effects. Be patient!
This is week 5 for me, and I haven't lost any weight either. If my A1C levels are corrected I will be happy about it. We will see in Dec when I go in for a follow up. Let me know how it's going for you.
@@l.h.2543 I have been on the first box low dose and stayed on it and have lost 53 lbs.I could not tolerate much more. I was also on three medications for diabetes and now only on one. So that is probably why I could not tolerate the higher dose. I seem fine and am still losing about a pound a week so I think I will just stay there. Others may be different
Works great for me as long as I keep my calories 1,200 or less per day. Document all food on My Fitness Pal and of course starting off my day with 8 ounces of water. Cutting back to one diet drink per day and eating lots of fruit and vegetables. No fast food. Period. I am starting my second month on Ozempic and have lost 20 pounds. Feeling so much better. Works great for me but you have to do the work to achieve your goal.
I have just started 1 week in. This in my opinion is the best comment. I followed your comment to the T just added 32 ozs of water/ electrolytes in the morning. No side effects. So Thank you for your wise words of advice.
I appreciate your video so much! I just started Ozempic and have been looking all over for information. This video has been the most helpful. Thank you.
I have been taking Ozempic for four weeks now and am still on the low dose. I do have nausea not as bad, no vomiting and some constipation and diarrhea. But I’ve always had an issue with this so it does not make a difference for me. They just haven’t gotten worse. I also incorporate yoga routine which increase balance, strength and flexibility several times weekly to help decrease fatigue and increase endurance. I found that I am dropping about 10 pounds so far since starting and am steadfast to reaching my weight loss goals. I am diabetic and main reason why I am on this medication. I am hopeful and do not feed into the other comments and information that may or may not be true. Some people seem to have mental health effects. Remember mind is stronger than anything else. If you believe this to be worthy to help in a healthy balance to care for yourself then please follow through and continue your journey. Just like all other medications there is no one size fits all approach to anything. Keep trying and make lifestyle changes, including eating a healthy by balance of greens, proteins meats and fats. Must have all components or you will be deficient. Lastly exercise is healthy by anyway. Utilize all types of approaches including swimming, stretching, biking and walking. There is no one size fits all. But if you make a small change to improve your health encouraging healthy habits you will see progress. Keep trying don’t give up!!
I just started Wegovy today. I wish I had looked at your video before I started today because I had a sugary coffee and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. That will be my last time. I generally don’t eat that type of sugary cereals but from this point on I’m done. Thank you for all your information. I’m looking for results and will do and eat all of the right things to make it happen.
I'm thinking of starting Ozempic. I'm 52 years old and thin but I have gained about 20 menopausal pounds in the last few years and just can't get them off. My question is, is it okay to use Ozempic when you are not overly overweight?
Sharon Osbourne went through this phase. I almost decided to not try Wegovy because of her. Thanks for the explanation I’m on 1mg and doing great , slow but making progress. 299.lbs to 284.
I I came off a wegovy compound just over a yr ago and lost 75lbs relatively quickly 5-6months. However, I noticed a lot of mass (muscle) loss. I was NOT happy with that. I took myself off and allowed myself to plump on 25lbs after maintaining for several months. I'm going on again with the WEG pen this time and I plan on doing more weight and resistance training vs walking/running like last time. I wanna keep my butt this time!
I’ve not changed what I eat at all, just eat less. Actually my diet is prob pretty terrible. Exercise? Nope not even a little. I’ve lost 30% of my body weight (50 pounds) in 6 months so …. Not sure if trying to scare people from trying or what but definitely not the case for everyone. Or any of the people I know on this stuff.
I was diagnosed as having insulin resistance and I started ozempic last tuesday (its Thursday now, 1 week + 2 days). Ive lost 5.3kg in that week. 134kg -> 128.7kg. Eating at a calorie deficit keto like diet with intermittent fasting.
I have been on Wegovy for 9 months. I found it very difficult to lose weight because my mental health was so badly affected. In addition, I had very severe constipation. I battled very hard to lose weight and paid for a therapist too. However, I had to stop because the depression and suicidal ideation have been extremely difficult. I would suggest that anyone with mental health issues think very carefully and take advice before starting this or Liraglutide. I have lost 2 years of my life to these medications. Please be careful.
I've drink a glass of water before every eat + I keep keto diet up. After 3 months I lost 18kg started from from 134kg. Im 38 years old, male. Without Wegovy or Ozempic.
Thank you for this informative video! I have been taking Wegovy for over 4 months now and lost more than 15% of my body weight already. I can see what you mean with the fatty foods, I realised over christmas that the medicine makes my stomach go crazy when eating excessive amounts of fat. So that was a lesson learnt!
Just had my second dose of Wegovy having started a week ago. I’m 77 years old, 6’4”, 330 lbs. Up until 6 months ago I had been on a “loose” keto diet for about three years and lost about 40 lbs during that timeframe, from 340 to 228. But when I got burned out on keto and started eating normally, the weight came back almost immediately. With Wegovy, I’m hoping to get back down to 300 while watching my diet closely but have no motivation to try keto again. Also, I’m a Type 2 diabetic and was told to stop taking Januvia once I started Wegovy. I’ve done that but my blood sugar has increased significantly leaving me feeling very fatigued the last few days. Comments?
Im losing 6lbs a month on wegovey. Im making better food choices and feel better physically and am doing more and mentally I want to get out and do more. I have resolved myself to when I stop the same eating habits need to continue along with moving. I do have an aversion to sweets high fat foods and a real LARGE aversion to Alchohol I dont drink more then a couple of drinks a month but now it just doesnt intrest me and I hope it helps those with problems with Alcohol I have heard rumours that it has made a difference with some people. I have had the hair loss and am looking forward with it reversing !!
Thanks for the tips. I have two different cardiologists tell me to talk to my Primary care doctor about Ozempic. I have had a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy 2012 and lost 150 pounds. But over last couple years I am back up in weight. Being 60 years old it difficult to get weight back down.
Thank you so much! I have been on Wegovy for three months (slowly increasing the dosage). Did not lose a pound. Will begin the 2.4 tomorrow and will try your suggestions. I do have a sweet tooth and will toss the sugar and get out to walk.
I want to start Wegovy soon but I want the weight loss to be on the slower side. I also want to have a normal calorie diet with exercise. I do not want to mess this up and backslide.
This video was very informative! I havent started yet, but, my endo & liver doctor highly recommend it. Waiting for it to be authorized! Thanks so much!

Im diabetic and started taking Ozempic about two months ago. I’ve cut out all junk food and have replaced “snacks” with bran flakes. The first two weeks were rough with the symptoms of nausea. Now I only feel nauseous when brushing my back teeth. 😅
I started Ozempic last April. I plateaued in October (2023) upped my dosage, and it was horrible. Terrible upset stomach, pounding headache. My appetite increased, including sweets. I thought it would level out but it didn't. I went to the pharmacy for information. Went off Ozempic for 1 week then lowered my dose. My headache are not as bad, but still linger in the morning. I wake up with a upset stomack. My appetite has increased and my sweet tooth is destroying me, it seem like i have absolutely no control....I have gained all the weight I have lost. Please help!.. I am still taking Ozempic and wishing it will get better?.. What can I do?...
It can take at least three months before drug kicks in. Eventually you'll start to lose weight. Maybe 12 to 15 lbs. Don't believe those claiming they lost 50 or 80 lbs. in six months because they're bragging! Human nature!
This was a confusing video. I can't figure out if this doctor is saying fatty foods are good or bad if you're taking these weight loss drugs. I also felt confused about the discussion about sweet foods, although there at least it seems he said sweet foods will make you feel sick, stay off them if you can and try to break your sugar addiction - and that is great advice, along with the caution that it may take weeks to do so. But he starts off saying that these drugs may produce an aversion to eating fatty foods and doing so will make you nauseous. Then he shows the results of a medical study that showed greater weight loss if people on these drugs ate keto or carnivore so these foods (which by definition tend to be high in fat) are better for you. Then he suggests that it might be easier if you at least initially maintained whatever diet you have previously been on, including low fat or low carb so you can acclimate to a more gradual shift to a high protein, more fatty meat centered diet. Help! What is the actual advice here? No wonder people are so confused. Maybe the manufacturers should try to give some advice here other than control your diet and exercise.
My name is Deb. I’m starting this medication tomorrow I have several diagnoses wrong with me but my doctors believe if I lose 30 pounds that I gained my pain. I’m a little nervous to start it. I’m also in menopause and take a lot of medication. So I’m really nervous. Any advice from anyone will be helpful. Thank you Deb 😢
I lost almost 20 pounds in about almost 3 months on wegovy. I got just a few more to go before I quit the medication. I'm not sure if it's too fast or not of a weight loss. Most of the time I'm feeling weak, dizzy, fatigued add nauseous, experiencing headaches, a very decreased appetite which makes me hardly eat cause I feel like I'm full, want to throw up and have extreme heartburns add pressure in my stomach since I'm constipated. I'm definitely not getting enough protein even though I'm trying to eat enough like fat cheeses, chicken and fish or just a small amount of vegetables so I will get my fibers and I drink lots of water. But I still can't get enough protein and I'm too weak to exercise since it's even hard to do my daily simple tasks on the medication. Could it be that I'm losing weight too fast and I should quit?
I am disabled and have had four back surgeries and they say I need another one on the way which is supposed to be more severe surgery or more complicated I am on the shot and it’s hard for me to exercise. I also can’t afford it anymore and need to know if I there’s a place where I can go to take my health insurance for it.
Or just go whole foods plant base which should be any healthy diet going forward after stopping. To stay on what a healthy diet is means you aren’t going to go back to how you were before when you stop the ‘diet’.
Please note that three out of four of the p-values of appetite suppression in "Effects of once-weekly semaglutide [...]" are huge, so you cannot really extract rigorous conclusions from the ETD values.
One of the main reason why some people may not see results with ozempic is because they are taking it for the wrong reason, mainly for weight loss when it is design for type 2 diabetes and may help with weight lose obesity with those who have type 2 diabetes.
Usually weight is the reason you are diabetic right? Most times people who are overweight have a higher chance of being diabetic and they are encouraged to lose the weight to bring the levels down. Right?
Best try with wegovy then? My doc said theres ozempic shortages and its important for diabetics to get it so she wont put non diabetic patients on ozempic
I have been on saxenda for three weeks and lost 5.7kgs ❤. It have completely removed food chatter in my head and my fomo of food . Eating one vegetable and protein meal a day . Only 13kgs to go to hit goal
Bad bad bad stuff! Not meant for weight loss, it's for diabetes. I wouldn't take it either way. My sister and nephew have been taking it for quite a while and are always horribly ill. The side effects didn't start right away. Yet, when we had to rush my nephew to the hospital, not one Doctor was surprised how sick he was. They are well aware of the life threatening problems these drugs cause. He now has to have surgery to have his gallbladder removed. My sister who is in denial, is always bent over sick to her stomach and it is nothing new. That drug slows digestion to the point that it causes violent vomiting, severe constipation or severe diarrhea, stomach paralysis, pancreatitis and organ failure! There is no magic pill for weight loss without major negative consequences. Lay off the sugar, artificial flavors and colors, hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, sugar substitutes, genetically modified food etc.. and get some exercise. I realize this is hard to do since 80% of our food is basically poison, and most of those ingredients I mentioned were banned in almost every country for years now. The FDA and our Doctors do not care about you. The Doctors are betraying their first oath by deliberately causing harm to get a very large kickback by pushing the drugs that the very crooked FDA wants them to sell. They make millions off of us being unhealthy. They intend to keep us that way. Big pharma needs to be stopped and/or shut down.
Is anyone taking Ozempic with glipizide and metformin at the same time? Any side affects if you're on the 3? Im going on Ozempic soon, the goal is to eliminate glipizide as wel as lower my a1c since my mobility prevents excercise.
I’ve been on a compounded semaglutide for 2 1/2 months. I’ve lost 7 lbs. I frequently plateau for over a week before seeing a half pound drop. My doctor is countering my rapid weight gain 2 years ago from a medium course of prednisone. I had struggled to get any of that weight off for over two years. I’m 3 lbs from that initial weight but we hope to get me down another 15 lbs (from a previous course of prednisone). Anyone else taking this post oral steroid weight gain?
I had the same problem with 2 heavy rounds of prednisone. I gained 35 lbs. I used to lose weight easily but I could not get the steroid weight off. Phentermime alone didn't work, semaglutide alone didn't work. I had to take both for the first month and lost 10lbs. Now I'm on the semaglutide only and losing about 2-3lbs a week. I do 3 days of weight training and 2 days 30 minute walk. I monitor my weight vs fat loss on a scale to ensure I'm losing fat and not muscle.
I gained weight after being on a drug called gabapentin and prednisone. 30 pounds. Then I went into menopause after a partial hysterectomy and for 4 years I’ve tried every diet to lose this weight. It’s horrible I just can’t get the weight off. Does anyone think this drug can help me? 😢
I’ve been on for 4mos and lost no weight, no side effects, no loss of cravings. I don’t eat much anyway but I’m on 2mg and nothing. I wonder if it’s because I don’t have a thyroid and stay hypothyroid
I’m a diabetic taking ozempic and I’ve lost 20lbs in 2 months and my A1C went from 8.4 to 6.4 in 2 months I’m so happy 😊
I take 1Mg for a few weeks I eat with Salada dry biscuits a meal and spend just over 1 Hour at my Gym every Day rain hail or shine as I going ok Please if I'm doing any thing Wrong Please ? Cheers. From Australia.❤I am 71 years young .
If you lost 20 lbs. in two months, you're doing great! Just keep exercising to maintain your level. What dosage do you use?
That's good ❤❤❤❤
Did you have side effects? I’m wondering us with type 2 diabetes is our bodies more use to it as we were taken tablet form beforehand I’m starting it next week
How Manu units do you take? I just starred. I'm a type 2 diabetic.
I have been on Wegovy for a month now. I have lost 6 lbs. I have noticed inches off all areas, like it’s burning from the inside out. It’s working. I’m off all sugar and eating very clean. 😊
so I'm thinking to get on this train mainly to stop sugar cravings, you think it will help?
Thank you so very much😊👍
Thanks for the info Little Ninja !
I also had bad inflammation and it helped with that alot ! Surprised the s**t out of me ! Literally! Lol 😂
I’ve been on Wegovy since March 17th 2023 and have lost 65lbs
Have you had any bad side effects ??? I’m on week nine and so far it was minor until last week. Low blood sugar headache for 3 days vomiting
I just started wegovy. What dosage are you on?
I just took first dose on Monday and feel absolutely exhausted today 😴 how do I stop this?
How much is same ozempic?
@@barbodrafiee9I’m not clear on what you’re asking.
Thanks for sharing. I'm about to start my first week.
@@josephalbright8672I wish you much success! I hit my goal weight in January 2024 and still maintained after weaning off the medication.
I have been watching many videos, yours is one of the best for positive guidance.
Good day to you
This was the most informative and realistic video I have seen on the topic. Thank you for providing the information.
I have been on wegovy for 10 weeks on the carnivore diet. I have lost 30lbs.
If you were on a carnivore diet you would nothing but animal flesh, no spices or sauces no vegetables just meat. I assume you mean either the Paleo or Keto diet?
@darkmemories7841 I was strict carnivore just meat, water, and salt. I used it as an elimination diet. I lost over 60 lbs in 4 months.
@LivingMyBestLifein2023 Did you incorporate intermittent fasting, too?
@pastortodd6249 Yes, I do at a minimum 16/8
Thank you so much for sharing
One thing I’ve noticed from being on semaglutide is that although it definitely reduces my cravings for solid food, it does nothing for beverages. If part of your addiction is sugary drinks, changing your behaviors is likely the emphasis of your weight loss journey.
I just went on Wegovy 2 weeks ago , my appetite wasn't big to begin with before starting. I've done keto diet for a year & only lost 20lbs & it also included walking and 3x gym workouts per week. Hoping this finally helps my body to shed the excess weight , 226lbs 5'3"
Same weight but 5’2 and started my first shot Friday! So excited to get back to a normal size 😔
We should start a Wegovy support group to share our journey. I'm starting Wednesday. I'm 5 foot and 200 pounds.
@cindiipanda too.
So informative and clearly presented - thank you!
What is a compound pharmacy ?
@@ourtruth216That's what I want to know
@@ladyjdabull5847a compound pharmacy is a pharmacy that mixes and distributes the medication to order rather than rely solely on manufacturer stock. For example, they can calculate and develop custom doses of medications that suit each patient and can “manufacture” generic versions of Semaglutide and other drugs
Your dermatology can help you inyect your own plasma and give you prednisone for a very short time .
I’ve been on Ozempic since March 2023 and to date have lost 35 pounds. I’m now at my ideal weight! I’ve been a type 2 diabetic for 17 years and my A1C levels remain under 6 with this shot. How has it been going on Ozempic? My daughter had great success on Mounjaro was wondering how the switch to Ozempic has turned out for you.

Slow for me too
Same here, I’m on 1.7 and honestly I have not lost much. I’m pretty sure I plateaued as well at this point, so it’s a bit discouraging. Who knows maybe slow and steady is best though. 🤷🏻♀️🙁
On wegovy 2.4 currently and yes very slow weight loss
Hey, not on wegovy and not here to do anything but ask questions.
I'm curious what your diet is like.
@@dismurrart6648
Thanks for asking.
Make sure you pay attention to your nutrition and talk to your doctor about what supplements to take as you are no longer eating as much or varied foods.
my doctor said 5 small meals low fat. I'm so confused what to do. fat or no fat
This may have worked for you but it won't work for everyone.
I start my Wegovy journey this morning-I found this video very informative
I started my Wegovy 10/9 on Thursday.,. I don't feel any different, I still have my appetite, But I'll see how the weeks continue to go, how's it going with you Betty? 🙏
❤Someone said to take the shot a night to sleep thru some of the nausea!
Great practical advice! Very direct, easy to follow and understand as well.
Your water weight might be the reason you can’t see what you have lost although u actually may have lost weight it can be tricky
Make sure you are getting in electrolytes
1200 calories? LOL
I am so grateful for this video. I used Ozempic for a few months before, and it's quite different to administer. So, thank you

I appreciate your video so much! I just started Ozempic and have been looking all over for information. This video has been the most helpful. Thank you.
Thank you Dr Yeung, very informative and thorough video🙏🏽.
Your information is the best I have found. You answered all of my questions. thanks so much.
It’s been five months. How has it gone. I just started this week. 🤠☺️
If you’re not adjusting your life style, you will regain the weight once you’re off the medication
I’ve lost 8 pounds my first week. Incredible
Wonderful and useful information thank you very much
Great video. Hopefully a lot of people will be happy with their weight loss in the coming years.
Comments?
Thank you Dr. this is excellent information!

4weeks 3Mg, 4weeks 7mg of Rybelsus, 0kg weight loss. Now third day in 14Mg. A bit disappointed by the results so far but really hoping it to work on higher dosage.
Low carb, high protein, and if you consume fat stick to high quality butter like Kerry gold, olive oil, coconut oil.
Have lost 6 pounds in a week and want to slow it down a bit.
Im diabetic and started taking Ozempic about two months ago.
I’ve cut out all junk food and have replaced “snacks” with bran flakes.
The first two weeks were rough with the symptoms of nausea.
Now I only feel nauseous when brushing my back teeth. 😅
If you've already been eating a keto diet for years, will it be ok to continue it when starting Wegovy? Or will I still have to work up to it?
I ask my doctor about Ozempic but one of the conditions I have is IBS and he said it would give me stomach ache. What do you think?
Try Metamucil every day (I have Crohns) I also use B12 spray. It seems to have helped with the exhaustion I’ve been experiencing.
can people take ozempic and b12 injection shots at the same time?
Yes that’s what I’m doing
I do it.
Yes
why, is b12 recommended while taking this drug?
@bre9199 it decreases side effects.
Eat protein
Try LMNT
I have been on it for 3 weeks, no weight loss at all
It can take at least three months before drug kicks in.
I do not understand this. So It makes you not like fat or savory food, so you're recommending a high fat diet. I don't get it.
Thought it was me lol
If all you’re allowing yourself to eat is fatty food, and you don’t want to, then you’ll reduce the calories you eat. Maybe.
I think theyre saying eat high in protein 70 grams daily 😢and high fiber 25 grams per day and low sugars
thank you for the information💯💖
I am disabled and have had four back surgeries and they say I need another one on the way which is supposed to be more severe surgery or more complicated I am on the shot and it’s hard for me to exercise. I also can’t afford it anymore and need to know if I there’s a place where I can go to take my health insurance for it.
I'm on ozipic to help my sugar level and it works for that but haven't loss 1 pound.
Do you have to start at .25? My doc started me at 1mg and I have not seen any reduction
Im dibetic but loss 8 kiloogram in 6 months is that ok im ovee weight about 20kg
Right?
@sharonlofton8645 Weight is not always the reason for a person being diabetic
@@sharonlofton8645Not true. There are several factors, genetics included.
@@sharonlofton8645 Diabetes can run in families. My Mom is a type ll and she is not overweight. so, no, it can be genes
Best try with wegovy then? My doc said theres ozempic shortages and its important for diabetics to get it so she wont put non diabetic patients on ozempic
Started Saxenda (also a semaglutide) one week ago, and have lost six pounds. 💜
Saxenda is liraglutide; not semaglutide. I am also on it and WL was rapid in the first few weeks and then settled into 1-2 pounds per week. Good luck!
I have been on saxenda for three weeks and lost 5.7kgs ❤. It have completely removed food chatter in my head and my fomo of food . Eating one vegetable and protein meal a day . Only 13kgs to go to hit goal
How much is the Saxenda?
@@otuagoma In Canada (at least in my area) it is approximately $450 per month
If you’re working out to gain weight/ size is it worth taking wegovy?? I just bought a huge bag of weight gainer. Fat loss will be a plus
Ive been on wegovy for 12 days and have lost 8lbs so far.
Bruh ain't no way, seriously 😮
1:36 each of the studied you circled which touched the vertical line on the Forrest plot are insignificant studies. Please brush up your stats.
You are good 🎉🎉🎉❤
You have a very pleasant voice ,
In the bet there is no where mentioned how to schedule the medication , how much does per week .. for till how long .. please can you help .
I am 264 pounds .. 6 ft tall male
I have an iron deficiency, my ferritin is very low 6, can I take Ozempic or Wegovy?
Does CBD work with monjaro or hurt the effects. Asking for a friend 😮
I’ve been on for 4mos and lost no weight, no side effects, no loss of cravings. I don’t eat much anyway but I’m on 2mg and nothing. I wonder if it’s because I don’t have a thyroid and stay hypothyroid
Why are you on it?
Same !! I type 2 with no thyroid
You should probably address the thyroid issue with your doc first...
Wow, you sound just Dr Fung!
Advice for constipation?
Fiber supplements daily, also magnesium citrate at night helps as well…😊
Miralax is good. It works naturally with you body to get things moving. I've heard Metamucil is good, too.
Water,water,water
I have serious constipation with saxenda. I got to use senokot or ducolax every week.
Can you take Golo and Glipzide with Ozempic?
Im more addicted to carbs. Sweets are whatever but i love potatoes in all forms
