Ozempic, Wegovy & Mounjaro │ Tips on How To Succeed
Переглядів 177 тис.11 місяців тому
How To Succeed Taking Ozempic, Wegovy or Mounjaro: Be patient - fat in your body comes in three forms: brown fat, white fat and fibrous fat. The fat that is hardest to get rid of (and hardest to the touch too!) is fibrous fat. Fibrous fat must go through a softening period before your body can start to get rid of it. So just be patient and let that fibrous fat soften up! Manage your side effect...

    Dr. O, this was just the information I was looking for. Thank you. I'm struggling to drink enough and eat. I am not hungry and I have to pee every 30 minutes, which is driving me nuts! And sometimes I'm just dizzy. I've tried a number of weight loss fads, legit programs, and exercise routines, and nothing has worked. But I am in this for the long haul because I need to create a healthier relationship with food so that I can get off the BP and cholesterol medications. AND I am doing this for my kids (15 & 11) because my mom died 6 weeks after my youngest was born. She had a heart attack, and so did her mother, and various aunts and cousins. I want to be around for my family for a looooong time.

    What electrolyte supplements would you recommend?

    • @thedr.omethod4534
      @thedr.omethod4534 4 дні тому

      Thank you for your question!! First, I should say that the best way to obtain electrolytes is by eating 4 to 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day! (As a doctor, they make me say that😁) In general, there is not one particular brand of electrolytes that I recommend. For the most part, you can find them either in sports drinks or sports supplements. I recommend going to your local supermarket or health food store, getting a variety and just trying different flavors and different brands. And be sure to review this with your physician to make sure that you are a good candidate for electrolyte supplementation. I hope this is helpful!! Best wishes!!

      Hi. I am glad that you found the video helpful. Regarding getting a B12 injection, I think you can simply ask your physician if a B12 injection is available and right for you. It is so important to ask your physician for what you need and to understand the reasoning behind recommendations that are given to you by your doctor. I hope that this is somewhat helpful. Good luck on your weight loss journey and thank you for your comment.

    Very good information! Just ordered some methylated B12 and will have to dig out my electrolytes additives. I garden outside and it’s hot in south Texas so I need it anyway. Have only lost 20 pounds in 2 months but I’ll take anything. Nausea has been a problem since the Zepbound dosage has been increasing. I might ask her to hold the next dose at the same levels you are a great doctor!

    Thank you Dr . For information Back on ozempic after being off it for a year for shortage. Now price high 400 for one month 🤦🏻‍♀️ but my A1C did lower when I was on it. Never lost weight on it but it did control and lowered my A1C . Now that I’m back on A1C went from 13 to 11 in one month and lost 10 lbs. I notice on my thighs slimming but belly still big. Exercise and making healthy choices in food and when I eat .

    Does the B12 injections have the correct B12 in it ? If not , is the methyclobalimine B12 something we can buy over the counter ? I want to try semiglutide but researching as much as I can to prevent the side effects .

    • @thedr.omethod4534
      @thedr.omethod4534 20 днів тому

      Hi and thank you for your comment. The methylcobalamine or methylated B12 is not the usual B12 that your doctor injects in the office. It would have to be specially requested. Chances are, however, that you may respond to the regular B12. I would at least try. Unfortunately, these injectables are not available over-the-counter. I hope this helps to answer your question. Good luck on your weight loss journey!!!

      Hi and thank you for your comment! I guess the question I would ask you is do you feel rested when you wake up? If the answer is no, then you’re just not getting enough sleep. If the answer is yes, then you may be part of a small population known as short sleepers. These are people who get less than seven hours of sleep, but wake up feeling rested. Remember inadequate sleep can impact overall health including memory, concentration even your immune system. Getting at least seven hours of sleep per night is recommended. I hope this helps!!

    How do we control this unwanted weight 🤦

    • @thedr.omethod4534
      @thedr.omethod4534 Місяць тому

      Hi and thank you for your comment. This is always very challenging. The easiest way is to try to increase your metabolism, which is of course how you burn the calories you eat. I suggest doing this by increasing your lean muscle mass with resistive training exercises, namely, lifting weights. A lot of people focus on cardio fitness, but as we grow older, increasing lean muscle mass is critical for weight control. Also, if we are increasing our muscles, we need protein to do so, therefore increasing protein intake is crucial for this to work. In my next reel I discussed more ways to help control weight gain due to these changing hormonal levels. I hope this helps. Good luck and be well!!

      Hi and thank you for your comment. I am not sure if reducing the number of meals you eat is part of a weight loss program or an over all health program, but if it is working for you, that is terrific. Classically, however, eating late at night maybe result in weight gain since the calories you get from the food are not being used as fuel, since your body is slowing down and getting ready to sleep. I hope your eating program is working for you. I wish you all the best!
