As a guy who works on planes professionally. Sometimes the Omnissiah is the only way to get those birds in the air.
Lol. I saw a pilots log about potential problems with the plane once that reminds me of this. The pilot had written in the log -
"Sounds like mice banging on engine with hammer."
The mechanics replied to the log with -
"Found and took away hammer from mice". Lol. Still makes me smile but first time I saw it I just laughed. Especially cause it was 100% legit paperwork from Delta. Lol.
I found myself asking and using concussion maintenance to a blue tooth radio and it actually got better
Lol that's comforting.

A mate had a car like 20 years old, legit should not have been running, had not right to do so. He took it in to the mechanics and they told him i dont know how this shibox is still running and watched him turn it on. He named the car patted it would encourage it almost talk to it like a reaally good dog and it would turn on. Every. Time. That thing had a machine spirit that loved him to its core
As I understand it, an STC is like finding not only the blueprint for a Ford F-150, but also the blueprint for the factory, the chemistry formula for the steel alloy for the frame and rubber and literally every scrap of science needed to make a Ford F-150.
Which is why an STC is so significant. It's not just the tech in question, but also the tertiary and secondary techs that come with it.
And, depending on what people are referring to when they say “STC”, it could also be all of the labourers, specialists and templates involved as well. Such as in the Gaunt’s ghosts book…
Original STC were a one stop shop factory, blueprint, manufacturing doodad that supplied a colony with everything it could possibly need.... most of them are completely gone, destroyed or corrupted and finding a fragment of one that is useful is a big deal.
so an STC is like a reproducible lego set
@rasenshuriken7771 Plus the technology for making the plastic and the blueprints for the factory.
Yes. As I understand, it is unlocking a whole production chain. It does not mean you understand it or how you would go about to improve it (The last one is tech heresy anyway, so do not try!). But when you activate it, you know what to do.
I think it is meant to be vague on how it does it. Suggesting it everything from just a lot of blueprints and instructions, to a full-blown advanced AI that sets it all the steps for you as a hyper-advanced tutorial wizard.
The USA by the late 90s, could not build the Saturn V rockets any more, despite still having all the documentation and plans. Manufacturing approaches have changed so much.
not so much that, but all the little shortcuts had been lost because the guys doing the work didnt write down every single change down. but also around that time the engines, which were the hang up had a replacement that was more powerful and more efficient while weighing less.
yep there was also a skills gap as many parts where made by hand and no one has the god ter wilding skilles need anymore
That's exsacly it, noone has had to do that welding for 50 years so it'd take a decade or more to relearn how as the people left to teach you have all died or forgotten how given how long it's been
Just for context, "I am become Death, Destroyer of Worlds," is a quote from an Hindu Poem the Bhagavad Gita. He had a huge interest in Buddhist philosophy and morality. And the whole poem deals with how one can do horrible things for a good cause.
And for me he choses and prepared this quote before
It's a real shame they blipped it down in the movie to a quote he pulled from flexing with his hookup. Oppenheimer was heavy into exploring that

Hinduism, Buddhism is a sub branch of Hinduism...
I'm pretty sure it's misinterpreted.
The one word that is misinterpreted is the "death" part. The original meaning is "time". Time which eventually brings the end to all things no matter how hard you try.
The Hindu character in the original story was flexing his powers. That they themselves were time. Endless and all powerful.
Don’t forget that Imperial Titans and Knights weren’t originally intended to be war machines. They were *terraforming* machines, used for clearing trees and mountains.
Now imagine what the combat machines looked like.
Whatever you just imagined? They were probably cooler. But humanity has complete lost that knowledge and will probably never get it back.
That’s the level of loss we’re talking about with Old Night.
Now imagine how op their airfryers must have been...
@@daltonevans3412 Trazyn has one, and he makes sure its never turned on
Particularly as they hate Abominable Intelligences...I suspect the "war" machines would make far too much use of AI for the AdMech to accept as Omnissah-sent
Makes me think of the AI controlled Titan that the grey knights found, “you make foul imitations of my form” type of shit
I think the only one who know how to build all Dark age Tech would be the God Emperor himself
I immediately went and looked up Cawl and the Cawl inferior (which is the hilariously named totally not ai machine he gave Guilliman), and I absolutely love every part of that story. I could listen to you guys talking 40k lore forever.
Totally not AI, I mean do you not see the heads in jars. Why would you need AI when you have heads in jars
Funfact. The inferior often requests that in exchange for its help, guilliman elevates cawl to the fabricator-general (read head honcho) of Mars. And when asked cawl straight up said yea I don't want that and I never told this thing I did.
Ave Dominus Nox. We Lords of Night have not left. We still lurk, we still hide in the shadows. We still wait. Our time will come to be revealed
We lurk in midnight clad

Actually as the Manhattan Project was occurring, they were simultaneously drafting ideas about energy production using nuclear means. They bombs were dropped in July and in August “The Atomic Age” was released speaking on peaceful nuclear energy. It did take about 6 years for scientists to actually harness energy from a nuclear reactor, but it was a semi concurrent thought process. 🎉 23:56

Hello from Russia. I found you in UA-cam shorts because I watch a lot of warhammer material. I'm gathering an army of Dark Angels for 1000 pts and slowly painting the Phobos kill team. I'm mostly familiar with Warhammer's lore, but your delivery is simply gorgeous and because of it I watched everything that is on the channel. Спасибо за контент)
From Russia with love ,
I'd love to hear more about the Sisters of battle. I feel like that would help round out more fundamental knowledge about the universe.
Older cherub lore has it that, given that its 40k and things are bad, the infant mortality rate is so high. Meaning that all these dead infants unknowingly committed the sin of not giving the Emperor their life, so every dead infant was made into a cherub as a form of protection of their otherwise innocent soul so that they could serve the Emperor even though they never truly lived.
The Flood from Halo would be a serious contender for most the most OP force. They are like an Orc/Tyranid hybrid and that is a terrifying prospect!
The scariest thing about the flood is the fact they both A) learn everything from things they infect and B) are older then the forerunners mean that at their peak they can use the "it's basically magic" tech of the precursors. 1 spore can doom a world and if the imperium dosent IMMEDIATELY exterminatus that planet the flood WILL win full stop
I would argue they are closer to a hybrid of Tyranid and Necrons, because they are intelligent, Scheming, Patient and a ever-expanding horde which will take every advantage from the things they consume and turn it to their advantage, there is even the potential at the logic plague could be used against the Necrons or even chaos Demons and that's on top of them developing their own psychic abilities
The Flood from Halo if not immediately found and annihilated without mercy can probably body every popular sci-fi universe at the same time
@@northstar6278I think the Imperium is the perfect enemy to annihilate the flood as they would destroy them with impunity and any world overrun with flood would face exterminatus. Plus, if the Master Chief can body through wave after wave of flood, imagine what an entire Astartes legion could do.
@@disturbed1734 well heres the thing if the flood have taken over a whole planet then they have already left it and are moving on to the next as they would be the fastest faction in 40k and spread but even the marines would fall and just like the tyranids they would make ways to deal with them but far far faster and worse the thing about the flood they are billions of times smarter than the tyranids could ever hope to be there is next to no setting that could even live them much less contend with them beside maybe war in heaven era warhammer but even then it would be a slog and could go either way 40k the era stands zero chance
@@disturbed1734the problem with thw flood is that they are the elder god equivalent, except also tyraninds. Teh flood got beat because chief amd arby are lucky fuckers and got in early.
Again, i'd love to see a full deep dive into the Battle of Sisters, they are my favourite faction due to how over the top they are and also fun fact I'm making my own subfaction of the Battle Sisters called The Order of the Faded Rose
Ah yes, the adeptus sororitas. Nuns with Guns!
@@w4iph yep, one of my favourite things about them is the fact that they can drop entire churches on planets and say "yep that's sanctioned now" lol and go invade
@w4iph nuns with guns is almost like a hacker with aimbot. When you got God guiding your bullets I doubt you are missing much lol
Umm do you mean Sisters of Battle
I used to be a lil Canadian book nerd who didn't have even a passing interest in 40k. thanks to tiktok introducing me to you two, I have binged everything you two have released here and look forward to every new video :D
I love Koda's references and bad jokes, I wish I could spare some money to sub to the patreon so I could watch EVEN MORE, my thirst for lore is insatiable
Is there a way I can gift it to you?
The assassinorum would be the most interesting, imo. There's already a lot of info about the sororitias out there
One thing it seems you missed with the adeptus mechanicus during the Horus heresy is Cawl, the tech-priest who created the primaris marine’s & his forge world original joined the side of Horus & then switched back to the side of the imperium…. He fought with chaos & the dark mechanicus for a good while 😬🤘
Genuinely the first time I learned that the Machine God and the Omnisiah are separate entities, fantastic content as always!
STCs usually had an AI in them. And they didnt teach how to make things after a point, they just created things for humans as they needed them. Humanity started to slowly forget how to make its own tech even before the age of strife.
Just gotta say I'm so happy for you guys, the followers are exploding and you are doing great. What I love about this lore format that you guys have going is the fact that Isyander is super knowledgeable, and a great storyteller, and Koda sucks up all the little tid-bits of precious knowledge and goes wild with it. You are a great duo, the "teaching podcast"-format you've guys got going for 40K is awesome. Keep it up. :)
The Emperor protects. You two were the reason i started 40k a couple weeks ago, and sisters was the army i started with. i must know their secrets!
Something to say, if I remember correctly, the Cawl Inferior, basically a clone of Cawl given to Guilliman, is suspected by the Fandom to be an Abominable Intelligence
It's explicitly suspected by Guilliman himself and he's told high ranking Ultramarines about it
It's not AI......it just has billions of pre recorded responses plus didn't you see the heads in jars. If it has heads in a jar then it's totally not AI ........
It would be cool if you guys did an episode where you cover a important planet in 40k. Like it's history, what life like is like there, the armies and residence that take up the planet. Like do the voting thing like you guys usually do, with 4 different planets as our choice.
Just a little fyi for the mechanicus game, a really important thing to do is that when you find those terminals that give you currency when you scan them you can and should also destroy them afterwards to also reduce the awakening, this will both make the current mission you're on easier and also let you do more things and pick up more power ups before having to continue the story because the global awakening reached 100. When i played i kitted out a priest with as many movement buffs as possible and gave him the skill that boosts movement when only wielding melee weapons (the arc scourge counts as melee) and his only job was to run up to a terminal, scan it, smash it and go back out. As far as gear goes you can pick and mix the clothing and weapons and stuff like that to your heart's content but i have two very big pieces of advice. First of all, try to find AoE weapons as soon as possible. They really make things easier for you since plenty of enemies like scarabs come in high quantities but aren't too big themselves, and also even a weak aoe is enough to kill a downed necron, and also most aoe weapons have a single damage value that they apply to all enemies so things like canticles and blessings will boost that attack on *all* targets, aka a blessing that will turn a 10 damage single shot attack into a 20 damage single shot attack will also turn a 3 damage aoe into a 13 damage aoe. Secondly (might be even more important), if you find a mission that gives "cognition mechadendrites" as a reward do that mission *immediately* and then equip one of those bitches on each and every single one of your soldiers *immediately*. They reeeally help with the CP economy (especially lvl 2 or lvl 3 dendrites) thus letting you pack more guns and bigger guns and use more special abilities and let you go completely nova with everyone on your team on a single turn, which often trivializes encounters.
Oppenheimer did not actually say "I am become death"
He, 20 years later in 1965, was asked about what he thought at the time in an interview; this is where he said he thought of that verse
In an earlier (1950's) interview, he said the quote was, If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the mighty one" (also from Bhagavad Gita)
Sisters of Battle for the win!! Girls aren't real, but the sisters are!
That Simpsons 'power' reference is so damn accurate for the ad mech.
I love you guys so much, I hope you 2 just keep on growing. You deserve it
I have your guys' videos downloaded so I can listen to them while I working. Can't wait for more keep up the good work.
Love the channel, binge watched it hard lately. I'd love to here more about the assassins. Keep up the amazing videos and thank you.
I love this form of discussions. hour long back and forth on lore. Love it boys!
The titan pilot was just one dark mechanicum with the nightlords and he used that scream to block out an entire stations comms
YEEESSSS, my favourite faction. I'm so glad this is out now. Keep the videos coming guys this is great
You guys are the best warhammer lore podcast out there! You deserve as many subscribers as you guys can get! Love you guys!!
That Nuclear Physics religion idea was a point of world building in Aasimov's Foundation series
I really hope the opening with the toaster was filmed and Isyander had no idea it was going to be there.
"I was gonna go the whole episode and not make that joke."
Koda: "Shame"
Absolutely the best lore channel on youtube, you guys have such a deep understanding and ability to explain things that goes way beyond reading a wiki page and into the whys and hows that actually make a faction interesting.
I've been binging this channel for a week now. It scratches an itch I didn't know I needed scratched.
This channel will blow up because of your great perspective, respect bro ❤
Love the video, also you guys really broke my shell I used to not comment much or at all but I really want to be part of this community you two made so keep up the insanely good work
Fun fact in Brutal Kunnin a tech priest has a sawn off Las Cannon that he could conceal within his robes hidden by other augmetics
Is he just a guy in a cohort or has a name?
Loving the 40k, guys! Just wanted to suggest a video on the Sabbat Worlds, and the Sons of Sek in particular. I can't imagine it'll see too much recommendation, but i think you two could really do it well!
I'm absolutely hooked on your content. Long format and stupidly fast upload rates. I'm excited to see where this goes for yall.
Personally if I've got a vote that even counts a little, I cried whisky laughing at your Orc 101 Video. The basis of they're whole power being manifestation is absolute hilarity and so so funny. I'd love a break down of they're society and so forth in depth. Much love for the content and editing boys, it's been too long since someone's produced consumable 40k Content that's informative and fun
They're society is follow the biggest guy, done.
What is "cried whiskey laughing"?
This channel is a gem. Speaking from Russia, no vpn needed to get your vids recommended. Maybe it is because there aren’t a lot of 40k fans. I have nothing to back it up though
Looking forward to hearing about the Sisters. Keep up thr great content!
Somehow by stumbling across Your Tiktok channel, You've made me into a new warhammer fan. Have been diving into The lore videos for the last couple weeks. The chemistry y'all have is great!
I was an AdMech character in a "Rogue Trader" game. It was a blast!
On the outside, he was a total heretek, but he made great strides in his travels.
1) he befrended a man of iron and got him to pimp out our ship with an errorless teleporter.
2) he found low-level AI trapped in a shoulder mounted plasma pistol and saved it from getting scrapped. His "plasma parrot" is now his trusty sidekick.
He also build a war chassis (so to speak) he would slot his torso onto (leaving his augmetic legs behind) and ride into combat. Imagine a scorpion centaur with chainsword pincers and a plasma cannon (one step higher than a plasma gun) tail. He also had his torso, so he could fire a rifle he made (see #3).
3) He forged an STC fragment containing his design for a plasma rifle that fused the Imperium's power and the Tau's control over plasma. This would effectively upgrade The Guard's weapons to something stronger than the humble lasgun. He sold this fragment to a manufactorum, since he couldn't buy said manufactorum. However he does get royalties from their sale.
I am loving everything yall are doing.
Finally, I had yet to see a good dive into the mechanicum
Agreed, this was a great listen
I started with fantasy but now I'm deep diving into 40k thanks to you guys and the awesome videos!
Back at it again Boys , another absolute banger of a video.
I just recently discovered your channel and I love it I was looking for something like this for a long time.
Saludos desde España
Love the content, keep up the good work! 👍
been catching up to this since i just found you guys today and loving it. please just do a like 5 minute side bar for tyberos the red wake. that... thing... is a fucking legend.
Edit: He got a whole ass patreon episode. I am content.
Letssss goooo another episode
I have just found this Chanel and I LOVE THIS CHANNEL keep this up please
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I found this channel two days ago and have binged everything. This is what I was hoping would be next thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video. I hope the next one is about the Inquisition.
The way I like to think of STCs (and also explain the lack of knowledge) is that the STC is a big 3D printer, you push a button and a tank plops out the other end.
The problem is, just because you can push the button doesn't mean you know how to service the tank.
So the mechanicus had the Hayes manual somewhere except they don't understand WHY they have to do the certain things, so they pray, oil the thing with the sacred oil, pray some more, change the air filter, pray more.
Hey! Congrats on 100k!
New favorite channel 😁 Inquisition! Grey Knights!
Just want to say whatever you're doing the algorithm is favoring it in the shorts so keep those shorts coming and more people keep coming Love the highly accurate and very quick information
Another great episode guys. Ad mech is one of my favorite factions. The assasssinorum would make a superior video, although cracking open a sister of battle to bless and sanguinate weapons would be a great topic to expand upon.
Yes thank you guys so much 🎉😊
Isyander is probably the best and easiest to listen to long forum loremaster.
I'd love love LOVE to see you cover all the abhumans!
Would love to see some sister lore. Especially the deeper stuff. Like, Convocation of Nephilim deep. Who was Alicia of Dominica? What led her to being brought before the Golden Throne? What could she have learned there that potentially led to the creation of the Ordo Hereticus?
I’d love to see ya’ll thoughts on all that. The six major saints, their orders, all that. Most podcasts skip it.
I'm so glad to see you guys growing so fast... my only critique is that I wish Koda would speak his own opinions and theories more often than just repeating what Isander says😅😅
Been lurking for a lil bit, and was wondering if you guys had any plans to touch on the Thousand Sons 👀. Either way, I have been enjoying listening to your content and congrats on the channel growth!
For next week I want Sisters of Battle, hands down. However, at some point I would like to see an episode/series on important planets. Not just Mars, but what is Earth/Terra like? Are there normal humans on it? Are they all bureaucrats? Is there any nature left on it or is the whole planet just one big city at this point? What about other factions, like Eldar and their Craftworlds? Are they planets or just planet sized ships? So many questions can be asked.
Really stoked to hear about the sisters of battle
Begging for an episode on the assasinorum!
The first new episode since I've subscribed
Fun story about that monkey paw a friend of my mine got one as a gag. Full open hand months after he bought it he was talking about how he wished he could take off the doors to his closet and one just fell off its hinges on its own and hit him in the head as he was talking about it. Before he even started working on it. I being a lil superstitious and a shitter asked him where his monkey paw was turns out it was in the closet with one of the fingers now curled. It was an open paw when he bought it. So yeah we burned the fuck out of that and burned a shit ton of incense after that. Now we only get the occasional nightmares and sleep paralysis
Thank you so much for your channel!! Saved me from the big dunce cap at work-
Still want to see the Sisters of Battle! I saw an ad about them a while back, but still. they intrigue me.
also, the Astartes Project short film, have you seen it? if so, what are your thoughts?
I always pictured the mechanica language sounding like dial up internet.
Woo-hoo part of the first 2k of watchers🎉🎉🎉
Kodas understanding of the sheer annhilatory abilities of the Flood does my soul goodn
You guys are good. Here, have my subscription.
Sister of Battle would be great to hear your take on.
WW2 had a lot of stuff going on that layer the ground work or developed the tech we have today. A good amount of it through expenditures of resources, but some that used nearly no resources besides man hours to think.
Example: the brits intercepted and tried to break down German death ray schematics and before they even put a huge amount of hours in to breaking the code some people figured out "that shit can bounce off objects in the air, and can kinda show the ground if used right" leading to the birth of radar as we know it for flying, mapping topography, as well as a bunch of more useful applications.
Love the videos and keep it up!
Praise the omnissiah and the machine god!!! Very nice episode, if you make an episode about cawl I'll definitely watch and for the next episode I'll vote for the nuns with guns just to hear koda impressions on the cathedral tanks
Sisters of battle gotta be the next vid for sure.
The Toaster Noir made me laugh. Classy.
The quote from Oppenheimer is so good, although it is actually from the Hindu scripture Bhagavad Gita: "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."
Love the content
I just woke up from a nightmare and this is the best thing to cheer me up
Im still here for Sisters as much as id love to see the reaction to the Inquisition. Every video is great keep it up!
The one second that Koda takes to process that two guardsmen got a planet each just beacuse of a sharper kniff maker
its so funny hearing ppl trying to explain the diff with Mechanicum to Mechanicus
I needs the inquisition too much lore and yall are the ones to do it
Assassins are my favorite sub factions in the empire, I’ve never seen a deep dive of them so it would be really appreciated
Hey man i really enjoyed your content im curious if you’re going to do a custodes video
Sisters of Battle would be an amazing video
The "Activate Windows" on the bottom of Mechanicus gameplay while discussing the mechanicus makes it all the better.
Well... Second time requesting a koda rant. I guess I'm doing this now. BRING KODA INTO THE LIGHT.
