MY DH2 BOOK WAS CUSTOM REBOUND AND IT HAS MY NAME ON IT!

I played a Administratum nobleborn in Dark Heresy II. He was an hawk eyed hard ass with an eye for trade and some tech use, using a fancy lasgun with his robotic arm helping him become an early on deadly sniper as the rest of the squad came into their classes. Was great.

The more influential influence wasn’t D&D, it’s Runequest. The entire line of Beastmen was based on Broo, the chaos lore is an adaption of Runequest’s, and all their original RPG’s are based on BRP, the original D100 system.

The zone system in Imperium Maledictum is a really cool and innovative idea that simplifies combat without losing much complexity. It was a bit more innovative back when Age of Sigmar: Soulbound did it back in 2020

As a Romanian I will say that was a funny joke, great video, keep up the good work! I am keen on seeing more 40k videos.

  • @Tarmenell

If some RP content appeared in the future, I would be definitely interested. This was quite an interesting summary. By the way, it would be great to put links on the channels referred to in the video in the desribtion of the video. It's a small thing, but it makes it easier to track down things.

Thanks for the video, was wondering if I should get imperium maledictum, I think your video convinced me to get it and that special edition cover looks dope

The link to the Warhammer 40k 5e Project in the description seems to be broken :(

I’m a lifelong crpg player hitting 40 who’s never ran with a group of people who would be into tabletop, but I’ve always wanted to try.

It's actually kinda interesting to hear how shallow DH 2 can feel in comparison to it's predecessors. All the old edition FFG titles could in theory have some interplay, so to hear that old-school Only War is basically a requirement to alleviate some of the headaches of DH 2 is in some ways darkly amusing and tragic.

I found Imperium Maledictum by just seeing it in the store one day and going "Oh?" and I was immediately caught by the patron system. I knew I had to grab the thing and try the game out then. I've always loved faction stuff in ttrpgs, as well as boss npcs. Like the coolest thing about Beamsaber to me is probably the faction system. And I like things like the lightkeepers in Candela Obscura. So seeing a system that has both and has them interacting in interesting ways mechanically is really cool seeming. Like I love the idea of the argumentative liability a lot.

I'm intrigued by imperium maledictum, but I find it lacking to play for a true Rogue Trader experience, because it becomes as you said "Dark Heresy but your inquisitor has a pirate hat", I don't like the system being stuck with a patron, hopefully more sourcebooks will come out so we can play as a rogue trader or an inquisitor even.

i GM 3 Wrath and Glory games per week; I prefer d6 systems over d100 systems, tho i have added some things from Imperium Maledictum, like the Patron. However, as a fan of Powered by the Apocalypse system, there is talk of converting 40k to that. But if anyone is interested in joining our server for a 40k game, leave a comment
