I need this so badly. I came from a home of "yellers" and "screamers." I vowed I would never do "that" when I had kids. Weeeellll...guess what? I'm not too proud of my responses. I need to pause. Thank you so much. I ordered the book just now. God bless. This is a great video. So needed. <3 thank you for your honesty.

I'm not a mom but I love this video so much! As someone who was raised with an extremely reactive mom, this is really encouraging and helpful for when I have my own kids one day. I also have a sister that's 8 years younger than me & she is very different from the rest of our family & much more openly emotional than any of us ever were/are. So I used to get frustrated with her & yell at her when she'd cry about any little thing. But through my own schooling & videos like these, I've learned better ways to speak to her & with her. Helping her to express her feelings & work through whatever it is that's upsetting her. I think it's brought us a lot closer and has helped both of us not be so stressed.

You are an absolute blessing sent from the Lord!! Every single thing you said hit home for me. I am a calm, laid back person but haven't realized that my triggers are what is causing me to fly off at my girls. Thank you! From the bottom of my heart!!

I love your positive parentingtips!! it stung when you said silence is also yelling because that's what I did to my son yesterday. I thought it was better than yelling but I realise it is not. I just got my copy of scream free parenting yesterday based on your recommendation. will be starting it today! thanks again ashleigh!

You nailed it again. Seriously I had my third baby last year and I had my angriest year to date. I have a new 5 yr old boy, 3 yr old boy and newish baby girl (my vba2c 💁🏻 just random FYI). I seriously need to just listen to this video everyday this week. Thank you for sharing your journey. You are officially my fave UA-camr and I am so glad you said yes to God to make videos!!

Thank you for this. I struggle when I'm tired or in pain. Have been in chronic pain a lot in the last 6 years and I can really mess up on a flare up day. 😔 praying to God for help with this. He's brought me a long way but I gotta get this even better for my kiddos.
