    **Important Note**
    I did not go into details on putting that fuse tap in the correct way in the slot where the factory fuse comes out. Make sure if looking at the slotted openings in the fuse tap, that the left prong that goes into the factory spot, is inserted to the power (source) side. You can easily check this by turning the key to ACC or ON and testing each side with the test light. The one that lights is the power (source side).

    I found your instructional video to be extremely engaging. I had been searching for days on UA-cam and struggled to find a channel that explained the topic in such a straightforward manner. I truly appreciate your efforts. Additionally, I was particularly impressed by the fact that, despite having a large following and numerous views, you make it a priority to respond to each message from your viewers. This level of engagement is commendable, and it's refreshing to see a creator who recognizes the importance of their subscribers in the monetization process. Thank you very much for your dedication.

    Thanks for some great content. Something not mentioned is orientation does matter when inserting into your fuse box using an add a fuse. The power side on the fuse box needs the add a fuse prong side that has continuity to both fuses even when one fails. Great video! One question, how did you know to use the 5 amp fuse on the fuse tap that powers up the switch panel? Is this dependent on the total amps of lights that will be running off the switch panel? @ 5:43

    • @AZOverland2017
      @AZOverland2017  6 місяців тому

      @@szyang03 The fuse amperage you tap into is not important. They are supplying consistent power on 1 side of the fuse. The fuse is what protects the accessory. So, the 5 amp fuse will continue to protect what it was intended to. And, the fuse that is included in the fuse tap is rated to protect the Control Box power up. They are independent of each other

    • @AZOverland2017
      @AZOverland2017  3 місяці тому

      Which model Switch Panel do you have? With mine, only a 5 amp fuse is needed in the top fuse tap location (bottom location would house the fuse removed from the vehicle fuse box). If you have an additional fuse I would assume it was a spare for the control box in case you blow a fuse.

      You can run it to an ACC switched fuse or an ON fuse if you want but you need to test the fuses as I did in the video to determine which is which. You're tapped into a constant power fuse right now. I would think, depending on exactly what vehicle you have, that you should have an actual 'Radio" or "ACC" labeled fuse in your fuse box.

    • @AZOverland2017
      @AZOverland2017  Рік тому +1

      On many Switch Panels I've seen, when there is power to the control box, there is also power to the switch panel backlighting. Usually the on/off is for the the actual accessories being powered not necessarily the Switch Panel backlights. So the answer is, yes, you can do it that way, but it is not advisable because you will have a constant power battery drain which could cause issues. Some controllers are different and may not have backlighting until you push that on/of button.
