#mixing #mastering #tutorial - Навчання та стиль
I’ve been following your work since back in 2015/2016’ish when you were still doing Remix-covers & dude your growth since that time has been exponential. You’ve taught me so much these past 6 years and I’m grateful 🙏🏽 you got a lot of character too, just rewatched “Free Guy” and realized that was you in the intro 🔥 keep it up chief.
I went to school for audio engineering and I can vouch for all of these tips man you out here dropping gems doing the lord's work
Idk if I should study law or my passion. Do u have a good job from audio engineer school?
@@caffeinatedfailure123 I recommend doing law. Your passion will still be there after you're done.
When I watch your videos I don’t feel like I’m just watching a tutorial. How detailed you are, I get a full understanding as to why you adjust the settings the way you do. I appreciate your uploads always. 💪🏾
No cap.
💯
Real shit 💪🏾 li I like how dev go into detail as well.. gives you a full understanding of why it should be done
This guy is 100% right. Probably the most important four tips. I've been home studio recording since 1985. Took me years to learn this. Take his advice.
Never got to school but the more I watch you tutorial the more i learn.
Devvon never lets you down
Can't thank you enough! Nobody does it like you do. Mixing to consistently compete has kept me at an undesirable level for years (in my eyes). Steadily gotten better but not at the pace I would like. Watching your videos are not only connecting the dots mentally and process wise but you always tend to add even more insight as to what is going on. I never knew there were so many ways to create headroom. I purchased a couple of plug-in's recently and it's made a big difference for my low-end and overall mix. I'm just anxious to learn more techniques that will eventually become natural in my process. Really excited to hear how my sound improves! 🙏🏽
You’re the best for me I’ve been following your pattern and it’s helped me a whole lot you changed my mix
Never went to music school but your tips have drastically improved my mixed in the last few years
Great content. I’ve been watching you for 3+ years. Im 19 I stopped attending a music college because your content & material is more helpful. You helped me grow and learn a lot about mixing and mastering plus more
Im just guna keep commenting cause your videos are exactly what I need. I personally make synthwave sort of music but each time I walk away from you videos, I become better equipped. Never stop!
I love your channel! It’s amazing thank you for all the help in mixing this helped a lot I appreciate it!
I appreciate you being considerate and editing the profanity in the track for the vid. Respect.
Man you are so good. You know what you are doing BUT you also impart your knowledge with modesty. I love what you do ... I'm a massive fan :)
Very approved tips, even tho I use all these I still love seeing and hearing how others do it too! Def always more to learn!
I find it hard to mix in other studios until I have worked in them 5+ish times/sessions. Best case scenario is 3 or 4 days tracking like 3 or 4 tracks, then starting on some mixing. Every once in a while there's a room that feels right the 1st day but most the time I feel like the rooms and speakers almost sound too good! I wld love to have some genelecs or some small nearfelid speaker that I cld bring to any session with ease right!
Thank you Devvon your a genius bro always bringing great content.
Dope video🔥 keep helping us and giving us the jewels bro we appreciate you. Blessings to you💯🙏🏿
thank you so much Devvon you always have the best tips. Here are some tricks I just learned from a famous keyboard player, Sidechain compress reverb sends for keyboards. So the reverb is pumping, it sounds cool. compressor after a reverb then a sample sidechained into the compressor either with the kick pattern or any pattern works. Just using a muted aux track to send something to the compressor as a trigger. Also... pitch shift the reverb send up a 5th, another trick that sounds really cool. And compressor after a reverb send with fast release on the compressor so when you play the keys hard reverb is not there as much but when notes are played softly the reverb comes out, it is a neat effect.
Your vids are really well stuctured, thank you so much!
Thanks Devon ! You explain ideas and concepts very well , Can't wait to try it Cya
I JUST found your channel, and I'm loving it already. SO MUCH good stuff that will help promote growth!
Give us the full blast.
I've been rolling off the low on my verbs and echo's, but the high's not so much, it really tames the tails in your example.
Good stuff. Any suggestions on EQ'ing the Parallel Compressed channel, leave it flat or copy the "Master" instrument Bus, or hard cuts to highlight a particular frequency range (low Mid's / High Mid's).
I am so anxious to settle down and mix again!! ✊🏾🥶
Always appreciate you bro
i've been watching for 3 years and i still use devvons techniques to this day :)
When Devon teaches referencing, I always love Devon mixes better than the referenced track, especially the references in this video. Thanks for pouring out yourself.
Thank you devvon!
thank you, great as always!
I started recording about 5 months ago, discovering your channel really hastened my growth..
Thank you so much sir. You have made me move from like 10 to 80 in a month ... Blessings. .🙏🙏
thanks you for showing all the cheat codes, you show me that the only thing that stop me it’s my self, thanks you for teaching us every single thing you know
Devon please please, make a detailed video showing how you connect your outboard gear to be used in your DAW.. I appreciate what you doing for the music community.
Hi! Your classes are amazing man! I wish it was on Ableton, but no problem! Blesses! Keep the good work! Wish you the best! Greetings from Brazil!
You always Help Me Devvon!!
Devon with the gems again. Appreciate the tips bro🙌🏿
Thanks bro u never disappoint btw everybody need to buy his presets…pure gold 💯
Great tips as well! Thank you for the vid.
4:27 this is probably something I’ll never unhear again
Thank you sir!! But we need another one of those live mixing streams again were you mix everything, I'm talking instruments, vocals and drums. I see you've got new tools as well.
You’re a legend, thx Devvon
Dopeeee. Always a great help
Another great video! Thanks for always dropping gems
Great tips i didn't know which im going to try. Makes sense as to why i still thought i heard low end freqs in the car even after cleaning up the vocals and etc.
s one sound so good on the delay and reverb
killing it D. loved this one
Thanks for another Helpful video!
I love your tutorials they have helped me so much
Excellent Thanks
This amazing, beginning to end learn a lot in this. Hmmmm that last tip na game changer🕊 thank you
Definitely helped out
Maaan,this is great🎉,thank you
Great tips bro, love the channel
You are gold your tutorials are great
The first 2. So subtle. So necessary.
Amazing tips!! I use 2 fl Studio tracks to put my vocal effects, should I keep one track with only the compressor for the parallel compression?
Real 💎 s bro! I Appreciate it!
Great video. Thank you.
Ive been usin your mixing templates for awhile now. You inspired me to actually pay for my waves plugins lol
Your tracks be 🔥 bro
Hey Dev, been applying your techniques for a while now so always appreciate the content. Just an FYI, the EQ on Pro R is already Post reverb but there's always more than one way to achieve the same result.
He mentioned it in the video then said I want to show you if you don't have a verb with that capability!
Thanks bro 😎
I like what I'm learning. I would like twice if I could. Good job Devon.
Lets go Devon
You're the best man.
Nice.. thanks
Devvon is such a goat!
KEEP GOING!
When i started using reference tracks my songs finally started sounding professional
Love the guitar track ❤️🔥
You are the best bro 👊👊✌✌🙏
Great video y’all, watch this for sure
That first tip is elite 🔥 I wasn't doing this for so long and wondered why my mic sounded like 💩
I have the REQ vst but never figured out the concepts you've shown. Nice
Very helpful video and great song bro!
This may sound crazy, but um your track sounded better than the reference track. That is mind blowing, you can tell by your skills you've been doing this for quite some time now I salute you homie
Fam You are a living 💎
Literally just took my engineering to super saiyan God! Beyond thankful 💯 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I was happy when I saw your sound go viral on Tik Tok....Great ..Nice Tutorial..,
ey yo my man greetings from cartagena colombia Im super fan of your job and your tutorials, I think that you are amazing bro, I would like to know what interface you work with.. good vibes my man
Tha mix docta himself 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
your music is getting doper fam
We met once at “Blue Faces” video.. However you are a master at this
this vlog was the best of all when it comes to music production, very detailed almost perfect not like others only for views and it is fake tutorial anyways thank you so much you made my day.
Your songs are dope
When are you dropping a FULL mixing template. Vocals + Instruments, FX, parellel comps, all vox, etc. WE NEED THAT
Hey Devvon, it would be awesome to have instructions on order recommended to watch these kinds of videos for the beginning. For example, I am starting to understand some of these things but looking at your template that you're using it letting me know you are very far ahead of where I am starting, and hard for me to determine how to not only catch up but even get on a learning and development track. I notice you haven't had too much new content; I think this would be great for your channel. I am sure you have it already but maybe scattered. Gracefully, Pres. Merry Christmas
I have been following since 2017, and I love your content, but I love to know how to side chain reverb to a vocal
Very informative
HMD SAVES LIVES!!! 🔥💯
u hv great content ma G
Big loves from Nigeria
Boss And Proper
Hot dang - GEMS💎
Dawg I need that shirt no cap
Great idea and BIG facts lol
You could be a great teacher, very helpful video thanks
Listened to your album on UA-cam Music and it's FIRE!!! Sonically AND Musically
That song hard asf!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Interesting bro. would you put the saturation before all mix bus compression etc ?
Uuuuuuu Good 💣🔥💣🔥
I always put parallel compression on my lead vocals I never knew you can put it on the main track for everything
Hey Devvon. Working on mixing on vocals for a musical style genre but cant seem to get the right outcome in terms of balance, sonic equalization, sound, and feel. How would you EQ it in contrast to other genres and how would you apply compression (if needed)? Thanks.
