    Björk Gumundsdóttir was born on November 21, 1965, in Reykjavik, Iceland.
    Bjork sung with several anarchist punk bands during her adolescent years, including KUKL, and The Sugarcubes.
    after briefly joining several bands, björk decided to pursue a solo career.
    Björk is recognised for the albums Debut in 1993, Post in 1995, Vespertine in 2001, Medulla in 2004, Volta in 2007, and Biophilia in 2011, and other.
    Björk made an appearance and contributed music to the highly regarded movie Dancer in the Dark in 2000.
    She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her work in the movie and won the award for best actress at the Cannes Film Festival.
