What are your favorite weapons and armor sets in Starfield? Mines gotta be the bounty hunter armor lately. Even in NG+, with the Mag Sniper and Revenant.
HUGE GLITCH WARNING: Do not put your weapons in your ships weapon racks. Only in boxs, captains locker or cargo hold. There have been reports of all of your guns disappearing on weapon racks in your ship. This just happened to me and I lost everything.... I even tried switching ships and seeing if my lost guns showed up in my new ship I switched to and there was no luck there. They are just all gone. So that is very cool
You don't need to side with the Fleet to get the Revenant--as long as you grab it before leaving that location, you're good! You only have that one chance to get it, though.
Me too. In fact, I’ve seen 4 or 5 creators make the same (understandable) mistake. If you can Persuade Delgado to surrender peacefully, you easily get the Revenant.
You DO NOT have to side with Crimson Fleet to get the Revenant. You get it during the last mission for the crimson fleet. The final part of that mission is your choice *to side* with USDEF or the Crimson Fleet. You get weapon either way.
Ohhhh I like that idea! I too have to google everything to remember where I’m going and it kind of sucks! I also tend to spend my time in just a couple cities because I forget there are actually quite a few to check out!

For those wondering you don’t need to be level 80 or above for advanced weapons to drop, he probably played on normal so drop rates are reduced, but around level 30+ you’ll get advanced weapons and if you play on very hard you’ll get them pretty often
I started seeing "Advanced" Grendels in my early 20s because I was taking bounties where the Target was in their upper 30s. The weapon type and tier are based on the mob's level, not yours. I'd suggest players do the Mantis quest line early on. On normal, there is at least one 'boss' that is level 38, and they can drop some pretty great stuff for a new/low level charcter. If you can, make the boss the last Enemy standing, get their hp to just a sliver (they'll be crawling), run up to them, quicksave, kill them, check loot. If you don't get what you wanted, quickload and repeat. They'll have a new, randomly generated item each time you kill them.
I get advanced weapons all the time and just made 60, the difference is I am NG+1. Once you finish your first run thru everything on the 2nd is higher level to include advanced weapon drops. I find it easier to buy or steal them from certain vendors. I btw just play on very easy as higher difficulty does 0 for drops or exp, fact usually get more exp for very easy versus very hard.
I found a legendary Advanced Hard Target with Instigatinng: Deals double damage to targets with full health, Hitman: +15% damage while aiming, and Shattering: Break through even the strongest armor. Its the best weapon I have found.
You pick up the Revenant on this mission in which you decide if you are going to frag the CF or not. It's sitting next to Kryx's corpse on the Galbank ship and that's at a point BEFORE you have to decide.
I did the “Grab the Mutineer” mag shot at like level 7 and it dropped as a max tier weapon at THREE HUNDRED AND FOURTY SIX damage with zero ups. It’s been my main weapon for the entire game
Correction, in order to obtain the Revenant, you DO NOT need to side with the Crimson Fleet, because the Revenant is a pickup during the final mission, you keep the gun regardless of who you side with.
I started seeing advanced gear around level 30 playing on very hard, by level 40. It was pretty common. The level of the system you're in does definitely help, but I was also seeing it in shops on occasion.
Different weapons have their different tiers unlocked at different levels. It's not a blanket "get Advanced at level X". That's why you'll notice you will start seeing Advanced Grendels and Maelstroms long before you see Calibrated Kodamas or Equinoxes.
@@noodles3559 while there is some form of a loot table, I've been getting shops in jemison to stock advanced versions of most guns starting at level 30. I have buckets of advance to Ryan's and regulators. Beowulf's and lawgivers

I started seeing my first advanced tier drops at around level 16. They weren't dropping all the time but I had picked up at least two advanced weapons before hitting level 20. And just FYI. Superior tier weapons are in the game. They just erroneously get tagged as advanced instead of superior. This is what's happening with the weapons you pick up that say they're advanced but they are inexplicably better than other advanced versions of the same weapon.
Type and tier of gear is based upon the mob level dropping it. I bet you were doing bounties where the boss/target was Level 30+ and that's how you got some advanced weapons. Same thing for me. For a sniper rifle, best perk is Instigating. When target is at full hp, the first shot does 2x dmg. Stealthy sniper with a suppressed Instigating Hard Target will basically one-shot everything...fun!

yeah especially if you do any level of ship building. That said the Star Eagle definitely IS the best free ship in the game by far, and it makes an excellent platform to upgrade from. I still use main on my main playthrough, redesigned the aesthetic a bit and of course lots of equipment and module swaps, but way better than just starting from scratch
As viysnjor4811 said it is indeed the best free ship to get your hands on but the true best ship in the game is the one you build yourself because you have full control over the design and weaponry of it plus if done correctly you would have built your own legendary ship which can take on anything and everything while taking little to no damage at all especially if your one of those players who do the "All-In" tactic which is completely start from scratch (Deleting all the modules of your ship making it empty in ship builder).

I think "Solace" is one of the best and easiest unique weapons you can get pretty early. Just do the GalBank collection quests a few times and pay the last guy's debt. The gun is pretty killer for how relatively easy it is to get.
Toss 4 skill points into lasers and use your cutter. You will melt through everything, and you have unlimited ammo. Hold down the left trigger and the right trigger at the same time and anything you are fighting will melt (or burn, since they will catch on fire most of the time).

Overdesigned doesnt come that late in the questline. It's optional after mission 6 of 19 which is about a third of the way into the Constellation questline.

I play as a pistoleer. Each game+ once I make enough cash, I go grab "Elegance" from the Akila city gun shop. The one straight in from the entrance. It's silenced, has a binary trigger and mows through enemies. When you own it though you need to buy ammo everywhere you go, but it's worth it.
You don't have to side with the crimson fleet to get the revenant. Just have to go through the entire crimson fleet quest line and it will be there at the end of kryxs legacy.
I picked up that sword without talking to that lady if you go outside neon city up to the roof, you can enter a grate and there’s a secret entrance that takes you to the syndicate where you can steal their weapons in there and fight your way out and you can get their sword in there.
I went there through Ryujin quest line. They said don’t go to third floor I went up there then the whole sí dictate attacked me. Couldn’t of been happier
I gave the Revenant to Sarah along with 1 ammo for it. Companions get infinite ammo, so she pretty much wipes out most of the enemies before I reload one mag.
I rocked a trio, A semi auto Beowulf, a tricked out shotty, pacifier I think, and a named razorback. Starting to push into the story enough that I need to upgrade to advanced guns, need more deeps.
Superior Weapons are in the game. Its a labeling bug with a lot of weapons that make superior be called "Advanced" just check the base damage and you can tell of your weapon is actually Superior.
Just FYI I got advanced weapons starting at level 30 but were EXTREMELY rare. Got a couple more in the level 40's and now I see them uncommonly in the 50's
You can have the Revenant even if you join the SisDef in the final battle, since the mission where you find it is for both factions, you choose who you want to side after finding the gun
I got the Revenant even though I sided with the UC I unfortunately forgot how since it’s been forever but you can get it even if you don’t want to side with the Fleet
'Boosted' is also a tier for weapons What type of gear you get is based on the mob level dropping it, not your level For example; if you take on a level 40 mob, they can drop an Advanced Grendal, Maelstrom, or Beowolf, but not an Advanced Hard Target, you'll only get a base Hard Target until the mob level 50, although you could get an Instigating Hard Target from a level 40, which is great for a stealthy sniper build.. So, weapon type and tier are affected by the *mob's* level. I'd recommend taking all bounties, because you'll always get at least the one boss that is guaranteed to drop a blue or better...and load scumming is perfectly acceptable in a single player game, so if you get that level 86 boss down to a sliver, run up to them and quicksave, then finish them off and quickload until you get what you want, who's to know?
you don't have to side with the fleet to get the gun. you still go to the legacy I think the ship was called, in the mission and then make the choice of sysdef or the fleet. so you've already got the gun before you decide, unless you forget to pick it up before leaving the legacy
I’ve been doing ranger board bounties n barely started doing crimson missions.. now I can’t even talk to Delgado to finish breaking the bank mission without a shootout cause I refuse to pay the outstanding bounty on me 😂
Nice. It was something like level 60, I noticed the vendors All flipped to All Advanced weapons for sale. Occasionally a color-upgraded pack or helmet, too.
I have 4 or 5 advanced weapons from looting and I’m not even lvl 30 yet. I’ve only seen a couple vendors selling advanced gear but it would only be a single item while the rest are refined/calibrated. So you can get advanced gear waaay earlier then he said, you just have to be thorough when looting Ive been using (all advanced) Kodama, urban eagle, nova light, and shotty. Each of them have lvl 3 & 4 attachment mods. I also have some crazy unique kinetics weapons(the best gun manufacturer in the game) my “mutineer” hits for 371 😂. Oh i also strictly play very hard, it’s pretty much the only way to play to have somewhat of a minimal challenge
6:23 there is an exotic version(purple) of the sword in neon that is found during the faction quest for ryuji industry? I probably spelled that wrong. The quest chain that gets you the stealth attire. Free purple sword vs buying a sword…not to mention stealth attire.
Really? I’m halfway through that quest line I think but I just flew off world cause I assumed I’d want more stealth skill before the corporate world gets worse
fyi, you get Revanant even if you side with SysDef, as long as you keep playing the undercover role until you have looted the Legacy, and then return it to Sysdef instead of the Fleet.
You don’t need to do the mission or talk to the girls at lady savages for the wakashi(katana). My game bugged and the girl walked upstairs and closed the door before I finally went upstairs, and I never got to talk to her or even unlocked the girl who sells this because the npc with the key is now locked upstairs. But somehow I’ve had the sword for a long time. I think you can find it in a chest or somewhere on the ground in another world. So anyone else who has this problem, can get it by doing some side missions and just unlocking everything
Just responding to your question about my best early game weapons. Caveat first: I don't farm in games, and I don't use exploits, not crapping on anyone who does, it just ain't my thing. And I consider "early game" to mean like the first two hours after you access the Lodge (ie get access to free roam). So, for me, best early game sniper rifle is easy: just go to Centaurian Arsenal in New Atlantis residential district and buy the Old Earth Hunting Rifle. The thing is so damn quiet it took me ages to realise it didn't have a suppressor on it. Best early game assault rifle is the humble Maelstrom, if you do a few if the New Atlantis mission board pirate bounties there's a good chance they'll drop a fairly kickass one. On full auto I was shredding level 30 enemies when I was around level 9-12. Peace, enjoy the rest of your day.
I think stronghold is the best ship in the game, it's Achilles heel is the mobility. However the shield is amazing, the weapons are also really good, and the engines are some of the best
None of the official named weapons hold a candle to some random spawn weapons gained from farming legendaries on level 75 planets. For instance, I have a stealth sniper build. I'm using a 'rare' Instigating Beowolf. It uses the most common ammo in the game and I can kill level 75 enemies with a single headshot with it.
I just kind of find some of the things to be moot in starfield for NG+ like I can build or buy or find the best ships but it doesn't go with you or have the building plans saved when you start a NG+ nor any credits or resources you've exploited through outposts 😅 but that part I can see why.
the revenant is one you get either way not only by siding with the fleet, it is on the legacy and you get the option after the legacy "heist" mission to fly to the key or too the sysdef fleet.
I have a gold advanced magsniper and a purple advanced magsniper. The purple has 1045 damage when equipped. They do have different buffs, but they both have the same mods.
Yeah I found a legendary with 206 physical n 708 energy n it literally would 1 shot lvl 60 mobs.. unfortunately did a new game n lost it and haven't been able to find another legendary one yet I even did the chest shit at n outpost multiple times with 100+ chests n couldn't get it again
And you didn't even mention the specialized legendary Va'ruun inflictor you can get if you decide to side with the Hunter or fight both the Hunter and emissary. Even just a normal inflictor rifle is probably the best rifle in the game other than the Revenant. It's pretty close tie between those two in my opinion. The inflector has a pistol counterpart too that's called the starshard and that's probably the third best gun in the game even though it's a pistol
My favorite weapon is a fully upgraded, Drum Beat semi auto rifle (with lazer binned, i don't want to send a 'Hello here i am, just follow the lazer, my drum beat has random radiation/poison/explosive, +15 damage to human/alien, initiation +10, cosequtive hit damage, in combination with Creators Peace against level 80+ enemies it's awesome
I have Revanent, but I've been using Eternity's Gate. As for ships, I also have the Eagle ship, but I bought a Narwhal. Its a class C as well as expensive, but totally worth it.
Well your just really good at the game I started aying on Normal but died over a hundred times so put it on Very Easy now I am having fun and enjoying the game as intended. For the normal average person the Very Hard difficulty is not easy. Even if it is for you, it is not for everyone else.
Can i point out that you are wrong when you said you get the revenant by siding with the crimson fleet, you get the revenant in the mission where you find kryx's legacy, after you pick up the revenant and escape the ship you have a choice to either side with the crimson fleet or uc sysdef
Random things happen though. First play through as a level one I found a advanced Equalizer on the first moon I went to. Where I was going to kill that pirate captain. I was severely overpowered for awhile
I didn't even know there was another weapon vendor in the trade tower. Star Eagle is not the best ship in the game, there are better ships and ship parts at high level. (60+) but it is decent for mid game level 20-30s. Most players can easily finish the game using Star Eagle, for those that have 0 interest in ship building.

Kryx's*
I have Star Eagle now and she is badass. I just included 2 slots: an arsenal and a working bench.
Do the weapons scale to your level? Will a Revenant have the same stats for a level 20 and or 50+?
All the top comments are how you don't need to go with the Crimson Fleet to get the Revenant.
Ikr I wonder if I need to join the crimson fleet to get the Revenant
@@Astrosiveapparently not, lol
I rocked a trio, A semi auto Beowulf, a tricked out shotty, pacifier I think, and a named razorback. Starting to push into the story enough that I need to upgrade to advanced guns, need more deeps.
Pimp named razorback 😂
So much info packed in one short and sweet video, thank you!
Superior Weapons are in the game. Its a labeling bug with a lot of weapons that make superior be called "Advanced" just check the base damage and you can tell of your weapon is actually Superior.
That instigating sniper you got is fire.
You get more powerful loot drops earlier in the game if you play on higher difficulty as well.
Just FYI I got advanced weapons starting at level 30 but were EXTREMELY rare. Got a couple more in the level 40's and now I see them uncommonly in the 50's
you don't have to side with the fleet to get the revenant rifle, the decision of who to join comes after you get the revenant
You can have the Revenant even if you join the SisDef in the final battle, since the mission where you find it is for both factions, you choose who you want to side after finding the gun
I got the Revenant even though I sided with the UC I unfortunately forgot how since it’s been forever but you can get it even if you don’t want to side with the Fleet
i got the revenant last night that this SHREDS EVERYTHING and i have a Valrun gun that does 1022 damage at common variant.
'Boosted' is also a tier for weapons
What type of gear you get is based on the mob level dropping it, not your level
For example; if you take on a level 40 mob, they can drop an Advanced Grendal, Maelstrom, or Beowolf, but not an Advanced Hard Target, you'll only get a base Hard Target until the mob level 50, although you could get an Instigating Hard Target from a level 40, which is great for a stealthy sniper build..
So you can get advanced gear waaay earlier then he said, you just have to be thorough when looting
Ive been using (all advanced) Kodama, urban eagle, nova light, and shotty.
The big bang is hands down best weapon I've found so far after 100 hours
6:23 there is an exotic version(purple) of the sword in neon that is found during the faction quest for ryuji industry? I probably spelled that wrong. The quest chain that gets you the stealth attire. Free purple sword vs buying a sword…not to mention stealth attire.
Really? I’m halfway through that quest line I think but I just flew off world cause I assumed I’d want more stealth skill before the corporate world gets worse
@@JAlonge017 called Syndicate Enforcer
fyi, you get Revanant even if you side with SysDef, as long as you keep playing the undercover role until you have looted the Legacy, and then return it to Sysdef instead of the Fleet.
@2:27 - just a heads up, I sided with UC and you still get the Revanant - great gun
I used the revenant as my boss melter until i found an advanced epic magshear with furious. Mag weapons are the goat
I'm level 40 and I've had an advanced regulator since level 15 or so
I got my Advance regulator at level 12 and I fuck up everybody with it
Just responding to your question about my best early game weapons.
We love to hear Magsniper not being buried beneath every other sniper or DMR
Eternity's gate + maxed out particle weapons talent. Add in [endgame spoiler] phase time and very hard difficulty becomes very easy.
I just kind of find some of the things to be moot in starfield for NG+ like I can build or buy or find the best ships but it doesn't go with you or have the building plans saved when you start a NG+ nor any credits or resources you've exploited through outposts 😅 but that part I can see why.
Favorite weapon: Va'ruun Starshard
Favorite armor: Bounty Hunter Spacesuit + Tracker Alliance Balanced Pack + Explorer Space Helmet
the revenant is one you get either way not only by siding with the fleet, it is on the legacy and you get the option after the legacy "heist" mission to fly to the key or too the sysdef fleet.
Its Best A class ship but once you hit level 60 and put a few skill points into ship upgrade you can build op ships
I have a gold advanced magsniper and a purple advanced magsniper. The purple has 1045 damage when equipped. They do have different buffs, but they both have the same mods.
Was going to post in the comments about how you didn’t need to side with CF to get Revenant, but looking through, I see I don’t need to. Thanks guys.
The Va ruun inflictor is extremely good. Just found it once in my complete playthrough and it hits hard with almost 700 Damage.
With the right perks and mods nothing beats it! Especially the legendary ones if they have good perks!
You can't jump anywhere with Star Eagle, that was the only downside. You need 30 ly jump for alot of systems
Really good information, thanks.
I put Revenant on my active companion, so I don't have to worry about ammo. I mostly use my Magsniper and Vladimirs pistol ;)
The moment I get to play this I’ll be back for your videos ❤.
Probably a daft question, but I’m guessing your current level will effect the dps of the weapons you find in stores?
holy shit....Vol 2!. It's freakin' Roman numerals.
You dont have to side with the fleet..you get it in the galbank lost ship at the end of it
The Va’Ruun pistol and rifle are my favorite.
Superior weapons do exist they are just glitched and also named advanced due to a bug. So their are 2 tiers of advanced weapons atm lol
An "entire solor system of solor systems"? Bruh, tell me you went to public school without telling me you went to public school.
👁️ 👄 👁️
Yep Revenant is by far my fave, but you are right, it loves to munch the ammo lol😂😂😂
Ammo?
I havent had that problem since making it to akila with their magic muddy waters.
It grows weapons and ammo out the dirt, fancy farmin
Vampire’s Gift is my favorite by far. Experiment A-7 is also a wonderful choice
I just got vampires kiss and its my backup if my revenant is empty.
i mean, i'm mid level 30's and i see plenty of advanced weapons in ng+. mostly in the shops tho
Superior is the best tier for weapons and armor. It goes, in order, C.R.A.S.; Calibrated, Refined, Advanced and Superior.
What about 'Boosted'?
My favorite guns to use are the Explorers Refined Breach and the Tacticians Advanced Big Bang
Superior is below advanced.
The tiers are
Base - calibrated - refined- superior - advanced
Revenant is the best weapon overall, but I like the Hard Target as the best sniper.
There is a guy that you can encounter in ebbside that will give you a quest to join the ebbside strikers, if he likes you.
An Assassins Pacifier that shoots slugs. You feel like Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men.
My Revenant was hot trash, 15 damage…I picked up the advanced magshear instead and with gun mods have it up to 64 damage.
Stronghold is probably best ship and the revenant you get no matter if you side with fleet or uc.
(1:38) "Advanced" is *not* the highest tier. The order is: Basic (no label), Calibrated, Refined, Advanced, Superior.
5:30 You get a quest for this the first time you enter the area i'm pretty sure
