On scanning for rare resource spawns... Just place a temporary outpost with a level 3 scan booster and enough power. I don't believe it requires any perk investment and you should be able to find/buy the few materials you need then just reuse them over and over checking planets as you just remove the outpost before leaving the area. It'll massively boost your scanner for the area you're currently in, clearly showing you resource spawns in your scanner at a huge distance and is just way more gameplay friendly than having to run around waving the outpost place marker about.
I personally have had several instances where not ALL my items get moved the the cargo when building ships. Pretty sure this is a bug but worth mentioning. The first time I lost some legendary gear I had on display in my Razorleaf and by the time I realised, I was too far ahead so no saves to go back to. Now I simply grab all my items BEFORE shipbuilding. It's also worth noting that anything on display can be taken by going to your ships cargo and grabbing it there. No need to travel to your armoury and grab each unique item
@@Kairos88 same here. Happened just now when switch home spaceships but luckily I checked and went back to previous save. Amazing game but some of the glitches are 'bugging' me
I’ve been playing on very hard for my entire run so far. I don’t regret it at all. I am having so much fun with the challenge and it’s making me really learn all of my consumables and weapons. Especially if I’m in a fight that I keep losing.
Modifying your ship puts all the loose items in your cargo but continuing to use your ship, those decorative items will repopulate the ship over time as well. The ones in cargo will essentially become duplicates so feel free to sell them.
A while back I talked about how much this game was going to suck, I truly believed it was going to flop. I was never gonna play it and I'm so glad I went against my original judgement and gave it a chance. Starfield is absolutely one of the best games I have ever played and is 10/10 in my book. Yes a few minor complaints but nothing that ruins the experience or my score for it.
Not just in the lodge is there an unlimited storage space container. In the storage room that's at the landing bay in new Atlantis, there's an unlimited space storage container.
When you commit Piracy, kill them after to clear your bounty. Killing the last witness does the same. Had a 35k-odd bounty clear after killing the last UC ship. I'm working at being a murderer for the Fleet. No major questing until after I 100% every system (no dlc), and max my character in the 1st run.
I've been avoiding NG+ as I love the main game NASA Punk style. However seeing the Mysterious Stranger has me thinking maybe the NG+ is actually part of the story as she basically states she's re-entered many lives as well. I have to think Bethesda knew what they were doing and this will become fleshed out in more story DLC.
I encountered the mysterious captain on my initial playthrough, no idea what that was for, I still havnt gone thru unity yet, I dont wanna lose my stuff lol
New game plus is amazing. It just sucks hard you can't keep your loot. Part of the attraction of Bethesda RPGs is collecting stuff and the new game plus mechanic makes it feel pointless. Outposts, ship building, weapon and armor collecting? Why bother. This is something that's kind of a big L for StarField right now. I get the point that your leaving everything behind, but Bethesda should have had some way for you to get some stuff back through different means. Like for ships, a blueprint for your ships so maybe you have to buy it again, but you don't have to waste time "building it again". For houses, or weapons same thing. Some type of way to get what you had back without having to go search for it again. Even Death Loop had a mechanic that allowed you to keep some things permanently after each loop and StarField should have done the same. Luckily, I'm sure a Modder will fix this oversight.
Yea I agree it sucks cause the starborn trader he talks about looks like she has some good stuff I’m really jealous but wats the point of by that time I won’t have a collection to add it too lol just sucks i won’t be touching NG+ for that exact reason
Good vid. Did not know that there were 10 versions of StarBorn suits. The problem with StarBorn suits is you can not mod the helmet and no backpack. Still can not figure out how to mod the clouthes/suits anywhere.
Fun fact about the ship, you can run contraband pretty effortlessly with it. Comes with 150 shielded cargo and I'm sure top level scanner jammer. I ran 10 pieces into jemison with 74% scan evade chance with only one point into deception.
We need modders to add randomised encounters to artifact and temple runs. Considering they're so repetitive and necessary, there needs to be something that makes these trips more exciting. Somehow adding more unique mini-games would be sick.
I hate how many people are against Bethesda perusing this story. Yeah they didn’t do the greatest job and Starfield leave A LOT to be desired but you have to admit an ever expanding and repeating universe is an amazing idea. Bethesda still has time to fix this game too. I mean look at Cyberpunk, they started off rough and people expected the game to fail but eventually it was fixed and now one of the best games on the market. The same could happen to Starfield to some extent, Bethesda just needs to get out of this phase they’re in and get their head in the game. I have hope Starfield will make a comeback.
A small correction when you start your first alternate timeline of new game+ make sure to make a backup save from the previous timeline as I found out that your starborn outfit change different legendary stats just like the mantis outfit found out after embracing unity twice but was still on the first timeline and found out that my starborn legendary stat was changed.
That ADS to walk trick also works with the actual mechanic to turn off auto-run. Hit [CAPS] to toggle. If you're a bit confused by the naming, the default pretty decent speed is run, there's a slower one called walk which you can't notice because auto-run is on by default, lastly there's sprinting which is the [SHIFT] that everyone is used to.
You don’t need to aim walk when encumbered, you can simply just walk really slow to avoid losing O2 (the speed at which your character will not perform a jogging animation)
@@heroherobabyFeels more natural to just control how fast you’re walking, especially over long distances, and it seems just as fast if not faster imo. Plus you can keep your scanner open an catch an item you may have missed otherwise.
you can take amp and you will walk faster without expending O2. also, not sure if this would be possible on PC with a keyboard since idk how you control your characters speed.

New game + offers an interesting take on the story but I’m fucking SICK AND TIRED OF LOSING QUEST PROGRESS AND ITEMS AND MY BASES AND SHIPS FOR TRYING TO ENJOY THE STORY
Still shocked how I've only seen one youtuber even mention "loaded" guns. That when an enemy dies, what gun they had equipped(rarity drops don't count, nor chests), if you loot it, you will automatically unload all the ammo that was in the gun, gaining more ammo on top of what can be found in their inventory.
Because it isn't fun or practical. Just buy bullets. Enemies already use common useless weapons, why do you care so much about an extra few 7.77 rounds? It's not helpful in the slightest.
@@ssgoko88 its not a "few" extra bullets, when testing it out, I sometimes got 30-40 bullets. I think it is semi randomized based on the magazine size(i don't think the game keeps track of rounds fired). And while enemies do carry "common" weapons, they can be of higher tiers with much better value. Weapons in general tend to be much better for selling compared to their weight.
It's worth noting NG+ also seems to increase the payouts for story missions. On NG+ 10 I've acquired over 300k+ just doing some of the standard story bits as they seem to pay around 20k+ per mission finished (mission board ones still seem to be around 3k)
The only issue I have with ng+ that when you go to a temple, go see vlad, get a temple, go see vlad. Like give us all the temples. We know where they are in theory because the artifacts don't change location why should the temples?
people be out there saying mantis is the best ship, when they haven't done the freestar collective missions and got the stareagle as your new ship, if you add new items it could also get up to 5k cargo, max grav jump and speed early in the game
7:10 to access admin debug options, you have to get the admin key which is below the left ship in the simulator room. You can also turn the difficulty to very easy to down ships easily for the challenge
Nice. Just wondered across your channel, new sub. First positive video I see about the game. Motivates me to play it. I have gamepass so basically free game for me.
On controller you don't have to aim down sights to walk and have the stamina recharge when overweight, just push he left stick gently and you can still sorta speed walk still while over encumbered & in the red. Advantage point to controllers on this one.
Yep, when I figured this out it just made me feel how much this was made for console.. That being said, it feels more immersive and makes me want to buy a new better controller, or something more exotic like analogue enabled keyboard or driving kit paddles lol..
On controller press up and down on the dpad while building ships to change the level the peice is on. You think it wont snap but thats because it's below or above the targeted area.
1:07 Yeah, you really notice it when you're 1,000 over weight and you accidentally sprint for 2 steps, and suddenly your o2 is gone and the co2 has almost fully filled! 😂
What would really be interesting to me is if some DLC introduced more "changes" with new game +. [Spoilers Below] Major world state changes like the FC or UC being the dominant faction, A galaxy of pure anarchy, or even something where earth still is habitable, stuff like that. Anyone else have some interesting ideas along these lines?

If you drop ur junk and go into build mode on a settlement then pick up said junk, it automatically straightens them out for u and makes them static/frozen in place so they won’t get knocked over when u place them
it's not only about the mass of items you have, it's multiplied by the Gravity factor of the solid you're standing on, that's why you can run for hours on 0.03 G planets and run out of breath in 10 seconds on jemison or venus for exemple, the game take gravity as a multiplier to all your items you have on you, meaning the lower your overall mass for exemple 10/295 the longer you'll be able to run ( and that applies before 0² multipliers, which are also applied before 0² consumption multipliers. ( that's also why when over-encumbered the C0² acquisition rate also varies. )
I use the Trade Authority Buy Back trick not to remove the tag, but to get rid of having a second stack of the same thing so all of my same items stack together.
I honestly don't really care about spoilers for what happens New Game Plus considering I will probably not be using New Game Plus because once I am done with my play through on the PC Gamepass/ Microsoft Store version of Starfield I'm going to buy it on Steam so I can use mods when mod tools come out because the script extender for Starfield does not work with the Microsoft store version
If you’re on controller, and you’re trying to sell or split a stack of something, use LB or RB to scroll through larger portions of the inventory, instead of the thumbstick.
When entering a science research tower, don't take the elevator to the top. Instead, take the stairs. After you see the dead scientist, look on the wall for a vent (on the next platform up). This will take you straight to the leader of the base.
1:13 you know what else would make that long walk go faster?... vehicles freaking vehicles god I hope they add those in or some modders add it in. Why is bethesda so allergic with vehicles? is there engine still not good enough? haiz
I think it was to create the sense of larger zones, since vehicles would allow you to travel faster and realize how similar a lot areas are. But for now you can just get jetpack mods, then you can fly fast and far for better traveling.
Dude, how are they going to get nice playtime numbers if you can get into spots in just 1 minute... they want to suck you at least 5 minutes each. They really dont respect time of their players. Vehicles would make people realize how poorly the land places are done much faster and totally break the already weak sensation of "hugeness".. that is why.. adding them to that game engine is a mundane task. Nothing to do with tech problems.
I love how they confiscate your stolen items when you get arrested and you can just steal all of the items for a second time right back from the authorities.
I've been struggling on how to approach ng+ from a RP perspective. It really harms a character driven narrative when are pushed into an endless loop of accumulating power. None of the characters in ng++ are yours, unless you determine to settle down in that place. I don't see how you essentially explain this to the companions either, so their driving force is to discover the items you have already done countless times. Super cool, but ultimately kind of gives me a sinking sad feeling...
It's stated the The Unity WANTS to unite all universes for some reason, thus it gives starborn some addiction after the first "transition". So from the RP prospective you're free to tell that you want to experience this feeling again. I believe that's what happened to The Hunter: he became so addicted that the price no longer matter to him and he's doing "transitions" as fast and efficient as possible.

10:16 Someone said their Constellation ended up being just a room full of alternate dimension versions of your character. I hope to get that one. First thing i’d say “Hello handsome.”
3rd run I got a lodge full of va'ruun and andreja, waiting to kill me😅
On scanning for rare resource spawns...
I've been trying to find fights to get pilot rank 4, and that simulation tip is a godsend. THANK YOU!
I also lost items displayed on the racks in my armory.
@@Kairos88 same here. Happened just now when switch home spaceships but luckily I checked and went back to previous save. Amazing game but some of the glitches are 'bugging' me
Yeah I think I lost stuff out of my Captain's locker too
I’ve been playing on very hard for my entire run so far.
I always thought a fun feature would be to wear enemy armor and it conceals you from them unless you kill them.
Faction armor was a thing in Fallout:NV
unfortunately thats only exclusive to fallout new vegas which bethesda has always stayed away from since they didnt develop it
I've been avoiding NG+ as I love the main game NASA Punk style. However seeing the Mysterious Stranger has me thinking maybe the NG+ is actually part of the story as she basically states she's re-entered many lives as well. I have to think Bethesda knew what they were doing and this will become fleshed out in more story DLC.
Does Bethesda even do official DLC's? Seems like they'd just leave that part to the unofficial modders
@@FirestormX9 Yes. They usually have a few DLC releases in tbker games.
@@stratum42 well let's hope for the best then
@FirestormX9 yes there was multiple for fallout 4, and 3
@@gageivan544newvegas and Skyrim too
I encountered the mysterious captain on my initial playthrough, no idea what that was for, I still havnt gone thru unity yet, I dont wanna lose my stuff lol
I was JUST thinking this. I've only done 2 and it's pretty...boring. I wonder if there is a place we can send suggestions in.
Yeah, you can send it to the nearest trash can. Bethesda dont care
Oblivion called, it wanted its Gates back lol..
Bonus note; Personal Atmosphere nullifies encumbered status for its duration.
The fact that you can launder your stolen goods using buyback is fucking hilarious.
Blessed be the trade authority! 😎
Kinda like cleaning fake money by spending it at a store and getting clean change!
guess it kinda makes sence, if they have purchaed it it cant be on record as stolen goods.
Mantis ship can sometimes have low level Spacers run away
You don't have to hold shift to change the rotation, just tap it and it changes the axis. 3 different directions.
That ADS walking tip for over encumberance is gold. Thanks for the video
What is mentioned about New Game + is insane. Good job Bethesda. Sarah Morgan as plant was hilarious :D
The 4th power I unlocked is called personal atmosphere, so it makes it that I never care about over encumbrance, love it.
8:00 Thnaks! I'll be back to watch this.
You don’t need to aim walk when encumbered, you can simply just walk really slow to avoid losing O2 (the speed at which your character will not perform a jogging animation)
thats slower than aim walking no ?
@@heroherobabyFeels more natural to just control how fast you’re walking, especially over long distances, and it seems just as fast if not faster imo. Plus you can keep your scanner open an catch an item you may have missed otherwise.
you can take amp and you will walk faster without expending O2. also, not sure if this would be possible on PC with a keyboard since idk how you control your characters speed.
@@ZenWorks2kI kill every threat then swap to my controller to walk around and loot...
Really makes me wish I had a keyboard with an analogue stick or WASD buttons with analogue depth press feature...
Or maybe I could setup foot paddles from a driving game kit hehe..
Seems excessive though, but the method definitely feels more natural than aiming all the time, and I think it's faster overall.. more immersive for sure..
the barrett quest is also available if you hold barrett as a companion and complete a few conversation activities with him. sam has to die so when you first fight the hunter, dont. fly to the eye and save barrett. it was actually kind of insane seeing that Bethesda put so much depth into this game and even with its flaws, i cant knock it its been pretty decent so far
btw great vid super helpful thaaaaanks
Nah sarah died in my first universe and barrett still got the powers
@@goldenghost2001 barret just built different ig
So for me Barrett asked me for powers on my very first play through before I had ever done a NG+ so that’s pretty cool
After 75 hours in I only found out today about being able to switch hab types, I thought I had to fly around to different places and hope they had the hab I wanted
Well for the most part you do need to fly around to get different brands of habs (or weapons, shields, etc) unless you have the ship building landing pad at an outposts, it may be missing a few items but it definitely has the most from what I’ve seen so far
It is very confusing trying to figure out which parts are just structural pieces and which are enterable
I seriously want to play this so badly.....
I didn’t realize how deep this game is.
Dude, I've done like I'm on NG+ 10 and I didn't know about the different versions of Constellation, that's wild lol
You're very unlucky
@@Tofu451 probably lol
I didnt know new game+ had so much extra, i knew it would be different, but i didnt think it was that vast and detailed, thats super cool
@@ChaoticKittenSlayerthey do change location according to vlad if you listen to his dialogue
@@kuzie2988 I did on my first ng+ but after that I didn't. Good to know. But still wish he'd give all the locations
STAR EAGLE IS OP AF IT HAS LVL 4 EQUIPMENT. WAY BETTER THAN MANTIS.
people be out there saying mantis is the best ship, when they haven't done the freestar collective missions and got the stareagle as your new ship, if you add new items it could also get up to 5k cargo, max grav jump and speed early in the game
I agree. Love the Star Eagle
7:10 to access admin debug options, you have to get the admin key which is below the left ship in the simulator room. You can also turn the difficulty to very easy to down ships easily for the challenge
Great video, Juice!
Been loving the Starfield content!
2:19 I’ll be honest. There isn’t much of a difference between normal or hard. And very hard isn’t that much more difficult.
The Barrett power quest can be intiated in your first playthrough letting you get all 25 powers before you make the leap into ng+
Nah i had like 7 powers total when he asked
Nice. Just wondered across your channel, new sub. First positive video I see about the game. Motivates me to play it. I have gamepass so basically free game for me.
Every magazine you grab in each gameplay continues to add to your skills without resetting aswell
I love this game and I’m having a ton of fun with it
On controller you don't have to aim down sights to walk and have the stamina recharge when overweight, just push he left stick gently and you can still sorta speed walk still while over encumbered & in the red. Advantage point to controllers on this one.
Yep, when I figured this out it just made me feel how much this was made for console..
That being said, it feels more immersive and makes me want to buy a new better controller, or something more exotic like analogue enabled keyboard or driving kit paddles lol..
Make sure when you clear your bounty that you are in a system that you don’t have a bounty. If you have a UC bounty you cant clear it in a UC system.
2:55 Casually gave the quickest advert I’ve ever seen 🤣
On controller press up and down on the dpad while building ships to change the level the peice is on. You think it wont snap but thats because it's below or above the targeted area.
note about aimed walking: if your character is in walk mode, aiming will for some reason bring you to regular running speed
Thanks for the tips and keeping the spoilers separate in the video. Much appreciated.
11:02 I experienced this caption just last night I think it’s another Starborn that is watching from afar
Instead of looking down sites, use Cap Lock to toggle walk/jog and walking does not drain oxygen
1:07
Yeah, you really notice it when you're 1,000 over weight and you accidentally sprint for 2 steps, and suddenly your o2 is gone and the co2 has almost fully filled! 😂
What would really be interesting to me is if some DLC introduced more "changes" with new game +.
[Spoilers Below]
Major world state changes like the FC or UC being the dominant faction, A galaxy of pure anarchy, or even something where earth still is habitable, stuff like that. Anyone else have some interesting ideas along these lines?
7:30 There are also three storage boxes behind the Weapon Workshop in that basement, with infinite capacity. In addition there is another, on one of the walkways over New Atlantis.
Some really great tips. I'm absolutely loving this game!!!
If you drop ur junk and go into build mode on a settlement then pick up said junk, it automatically straightens them out for u and makes them static/frozen in place so they won’t get knocked over when u place them
it's not only about the mass of items you have, it's multiplied by the Gravity factor of the solid you're standing on, that's why you can run for hours on 0.03 G planets
and run out of breath in 10 seconds on jemison or venus for exemple, the game take gravity as a multiplier to all your items you have on you, meaning the lower your overall mass for exemple 10/295 the longer you'll be able to run ( and that applies before 0² multipliers, which are also applied before 0² consumption multipliers. ( that's also why when over-encumbered the C0² acquisition rate also varies. )
These tips are great and all, but what about dealing with enemies that are spawning in geometry?
that is imposible, the game has not a single bug man.. Anyway, keep playing, it gets better after 50 or 70 hours.
I liked the perk tree more in fallout 4, it was huge. But one perk let you fast travel even when you’re over encumbered which is very useful
This man really made a secrets video and explained the whole ng+
For long distance travel overencumbered, you can also use amp and the personal atmosphere power. Makes you alot faster than just sprinting
I use the Trade Authority Buy Back trick not to remove the tag, but to get rid of having a second stack of the same thing so all of my same items stack together.
great video! i stopped when you got to the new game +, but will come back once i get there
You forgot to mention, carry weight over-encumbrance also affects your jump height and boost pack efficiency
Wait... your original universe didnt have barret wanting powers? Just the new one?
Yea he wanted powers i my original universe. So far I haven’t seen a different constellation group yet
0:34 if it’s weapons or space suits with the stolen tag you can modify them at a workbench and they will lose the marker.
Great vid. Looking forward to playing this eventually.
you are my favourite youtuber
Dropped a like and comment for the smooth Displate sponsor read. Good stuff.

Manipulating Objects also uses the Control button for another axis
There are skill magazines in the game, as well as snow globes
"You can talk to Sarah Morgan.... as a plant" I lost it lol
