*Click the "Thanks" button under the video to leave me a donation.* This video will allow you to take on the highest leveled enemies in the game with ease, travel without restriction and smuggle with an OP space ship, and make you filthy rich the very second the game lets you free roam. I did a "lets play" following this guide if you want more detail where I left out the security leveling: ua-cam.com/video/TKyeSLhBccU/v-deo.html Having issues getting the advanced magshear? This will help: ua-cam.com/video/1uhVRGZ54-8/v-deo.html The only way to get stronger weapons or armor is to farm the high level zones, which will be easy with this setup, and the only way to get a better ship is to buy one with all the money I teach you how to quickly get. There is NO faster way to get money, NO stronger starting weapon, and NO better armor at the start. It makes you completely overpowered at the start of the game and enemies will melt. You'll be unstoppable if you follow this guide.
An added note. I don't know if they will change this or not but if your zoning into a dungeon (this will NOT WORK for anything else.) Set the game to Very Hard before you enter. As soon as you enter Set it back to your prefered difficulty and you'll now have access to the high tier loot tables. I did this in the Mantis Lair and I got like almost 20 Leg drops alone Double that for Epic Drops and maybe tripple for Rare. I had over 120k worth of stuff in that one Dung. If you do this I would not sleep inside the Dungeon. That might reset your tables. If you need Med Packs Go to Akkila City and farm them from the Doc inside The Rock She always has a bunch
If anybody is curious, you can easily level Piloting by doing the UC Vanguard Piloting Sim over and over again, as that counts towards ships you've destroyed. In order to do this, just talk to the recruiter about joining (MAST District, UC Tower, right side - it a black guy) and follow the quest markers to the sim. You can redo the simple over and over again for "better scores". Edit: you can repeat the test as many times as you'd like. I'm unsure if it becomes inaccessible after you become a vanguard, but you don't have to talk to anybody to retake it. Additionally, if you score tier 3 first, then score tier 6 at a later point without talking to the recruiter, your official score will change from tier 3 to tier 6.
You can grab the spacesuit behind the glass display case in the Lodge basement without lockpicking the case. On the right side of the front door there is a small gap. If you crouch and look closely you can see the light from the inside of case shinning through the gap in the door edge. Just move your cursor up and down along that gap and you can grab the entire suit off the mannequin. It's a pretty OP suit for early game(100+ defense). The big thing is the suit is worth somewhere around 30k credits. I forget how much the helmet and backpack is worth though. It's got to be worth over 35-40k.
Thank you! It worked quiet easily. If anyone is having trouble, crouch down to the lower right hand side of the case and just trace the bottom right corner by the foot up the leg.
One trick I did not see mentioned is that higher difficulty gives more chances for rare or legendary loot. You can switch difficulty to very hard before entering a zone. What this does is set all the loot in that zone when you enter. Once you go into the zone, you can set the difficulty to very easy and go loot the stuff you would have gotten on very hard. In other words, say you are going to enter a mine, there will be a door, this is where you have to do the difficulty change before and after this door. This will be the only time you need to do this.
So you are saying, the difficulty level you have selected WHEN you spawn the instance, is what spawns all the loot? But any difficulty change you make afterwards only affects enemies?
@@nightowlfunnitizer4267 you’re wrong for example in fallout 4 on Hard or Very Hard difficulty legendary enemies spawn more frequently meaning you get more legendary weapons.
Just go into your settings before entering a hideout/dungeon/whatever, set your difficulty to Very Hard (it literally states it increased Legendary loot drop % chance), enter and then switch it back down. The loot generates upon entering the zone. As long as you don't leave, you have the best loot chance whilst in that instance. Benji goes on about re-reolling Legendary loot drops in the video aswell. Slightly different but along the same vein.
Very cool guide. Thank you. The lair of the Mantis gets a lot easier, if you take Sarah with you and "borrow" two Magshear guns from Topetown. Then equip some ammunition and one Magshear to Sarah. She alone will blow away most enemies. If you use one too, then the lair is quite easy. Another nice thing is, give your companion equipment with the Chameleon perk. That way they get invisible too, when they crouch
Hi @SwoleBenji I just wanted to make you aware that when it says unique items that only means for that level. So what this means is if you sell 25 different items for the 1st level, you can sell that same 25 items for the next level meaning you only need 50 extra items. So make sure you only sell 1 of each item only, to use them for the next levels. Hope this helps 😊.
Hey, once you skill up lock picking you'll notice the rings start to turn blue at some points. They'll only turn blue on the corresponding ring they can possibly fit in. It makes it A LOT easier to guess because if it stays grey you absolutely know it won't work there. It mentions it in the skill tab too. Just thought you should know, hop that makes sense!
Quick Tip on 46:55 the MAGSHRAR itself, don’t sell the second one. Keep the two of them, give one to any of your current followers and give em like 1-50 .50 MI ammo so they can equip it/Equip it for them. That way not only you’ll be using an overpowered gun but also your follower too. You’ll see what I mean when I call this the Army of Two duo. It’s insane how accurate and devastating the gun can be in your companions hand 😏. Not to abuse it, I only let my companion equip it when we fighting really OP enemies at the hardest difficulty cuz the wreckage we do is too much 🤣
I try to play without followers unless it’s an op fight(op fight being I’m lvl 7 and their lvl 30) than I let them tag along and tank for me (playing on hard)
1:46:15 Here is a tip. A single point in Stealth. More if you can, but that first one is the most important. It lets you know when NPCs are looking at you. If you are going to be taking things that aren't yours, knowing when it is safe to do so is key.
One thing I’ve noticed if you can’t see them you are basically good. I rob Aegis of their weapons religiously when I start a game. Just open a weapon case “not stealing” then kneel down behind the open lid and yoink the guns from the back
@@frackinfamous6126 ...and then you have cases where you are alone in a room, "liberate" an item while crouching, and security runs in to arrest you anyway. Bethesda Games will Bethesda Game, I guess. 🙄
I agree I maxed out weight training, but immediately after put one into stealth, if anything just for the bar to show up. Also chameleon stacks, I wouldn’t want it on my mantis gear but three random pieces of armor with it, even just rolled on a rare plus max stealth and concealment allowed me to steal anything in broad daylight as long as I paused for 1-2 seconds, though by that point I didn’t need cash except on maybe a ng+ where I learned to not waste triple my play time looting everything in a dungeon and loot management.
in that cave at the start there is a hidden alcove under the bridge when you go under the bridge look for grey stone on the right side use the cutter on it and you will find three nodes of Europium inside.
For those that don't know, aiming with the cutter increases the effectiveness of the beam so you can harvest resources faster, it also does more damage to enemies
@@Hop3.When you "aim" with the cutter, the reticle has a couple bars that get closer to the middle. Once those bars are in the middle, the cutter's beams become focused. The harvesting potential, speed, and damage of the cutter is then increased. (By potential I mean that the cutter has a little trouble getting through the rarer resources, and when focused it cuts the time needed by a decent amount. Also, some heavy resources can't be harvested by the cutter unless it's focused.)
This guide, followed to the letter, will give you exactly whats promised. Fantastic work man, watched your guide when already level 45 and decided immediately to start over. Doing the mantis this early, lockpicking lvl 3 this early etc, I don't have to tell you, it changes the game. Now to chase the 350k or whatever for the ship you mentioned.
Try going to neon security station (across from the galbank) and go into the back right cell and crouch and you can get a bunch of contraband that if you hack the master storage container, you can then store the contraband in there. Exit the security building Fast travel to Pluto and sit for 24 hrs (I think you only need 6 but I just watch yt while doing this) Fast travel back to neon city and do it over and over until you have a ton of contraband in the storage container, Then take it all out and run to the trade authority to sell as much as the vendor can afford Sit on the stools and wait 48 hrs Repeat until it's all sold. I have a couple mil from doing this and it takes the least amount of time. Almost quicker than selling resources bc you can't Fast travel when encumbered and all the things you're selling are close to the place you sell them at. Give it a try 👍
BIG HINT for lockpicking... Find or purchase a Chameleon Helmet of any type (or body armor if you can find it). When you crouch beside any lock, regardless of security or onlookers, you're invisible. Makes robbing ATMs and such way, way easier. Still recommend saving before every pick because you can still screw up the pick and need to recover. But you never need to worry about security guards again. Cheers
After picking up the artifact, and making your character, you can go back for all of the beryllium, the NASA coffee cup, 7 Neodynium as well as 3 Europium.
At 1:12:02 where you're explaining the lockpick minigame, If you'll notice, once you take your second level of security, when you are looking at set of pins, the rings will light up blue that that particular pin set will fit into. So you can see, especially when you are picking master level locks, go through all of the pin sets and identify the ones that only work in one in a single ring, and work it from there. Edit: Never mind, you explained this 2 minutes later in the video. lmao.
I found an explosive grendel randomly in my first 2 hours. It has a +25% fire rate, double mag size, and the explosive rounds hit for 84 damage when they proc and it aoes, it's absolutely broken.
now that is the perfect early weapon. Easiest ammo to get and great damage. Even the white grendal is your best choice for most encounters, but that one would be broken.
Northeast of the the Lodge in New Atlantis is an Autonomous Farm...in the back is a shed with an Expert lock. On the weapons rack on the wall was a Rare Anti-Personnel Suppressed Grendel. 10%dam humans-Suppressor, Armor Piercing Rounds, Semi auto. Not sure if it's the same loot for everyone.
43:33 There’s a “perk” (look under the stats in the description of the weapon) you can get for the Grendel (I think all the weapons can have it) that also makes it do double damage if the target is at full health. So if your first shot is a critical (headshot or otherwise) you’re more than likely going to kill anything in one hit, three max. I found a suppressed version with a green laser and holo-sight. It was nasty.
It's called Instigator, I've got it on a couple weapons! My favorite combo so far that I've found is my Furious Microgun: more damage for each hit on the same target
You get more ammo aswell when you pick up the dropped weapon from the enemies (on the ground not in their inventory) usually around 20-30 rounds. Only works with enemy dropped weapons though, not ones in weapon crates etc from what I can tell.
I'm about midway through your tutorial and really enjoy it. I did vary off your beaten path a little by doing several side quests (before entering Constellation) in New Atlantis and found it gave me more money (to buy that 50MI Array ammo) and level up an extra level prior to your stealing awesome weapons point in your video. Really appreciate your tutorial.
1:12:16 One thing to recognize on the lock picking is that the rings will change from a shade of grey to a shade of blue IF the chosen option will or will not work on that particular ring. This is especially useful on expert and master... Oh, nevermind you just explained it on the video 😂 Another good tip is to work from the innermost ring outward. Especially when you get to master level locks. I use the "code" where I call the first row of 4 options "A" then " B" and "C" under the rows under route A then numbers 1,2,3 or 4 for each ring option so that I can remember or write down.. A-4, C-3 for the inner ring, A-2 , B-1 is the third ring, B-4 , C-4 for the second ring and A-3 , B-2 for the outer ring.... for example.
Killer guide. I have 30 hrs in on my first playthru. Not sure I want to restart the game to get this early advantage. Getting those weapons is real helpful. Not too concerned about being this OP, as early in game. The exploration is the journey. Making the game this easy may diminish the 150 hour experience.
@@SwoleBenjithis comment 100%. I think it really ruins the initial player experience the first time around, but guides are cool for a ng+ run or two. I came into the game with horrible gun aim but the game was easy even on Very hard. Though I completely struggled at space dog fights so I had to lower the difficulty then a couple times.
Helpful tips. You don't have to fast travel back to your ship to store in the cargo hold. Just tab, move to ship and while viewing your ship hit F or L (depending on your hot keys) then you have direct access from anywhere to store on your ship
You can use storage boxes in that facility to store stuff so you can loot everything, store them in each section of the facility and when you are finished securing the area of enemies, come back and get all your stuff on your way back to the ship (don’t forget getting the helium on top of the facility if you want to make extractors for your outpost as it’s fuel
I see some mentions the Blue on the pick/keys. Thing is, and i'm glad you showed this ''technique''. You'll never need to care about the keys going blue, if you do it the way he does it. You'll already lined up, and made sure every ''key'' fills every gap on every ring. Just go over it, to be sure every spot is filled correctly, and it''s basically a 100% success every time. Leveling, and spend first few hours of the game on commerce and security, which i also did. Man it spares you SO SO much frustration - over never need to remember...meaning forget.. where you've been ever again.
For those who keep getting the regular Magshear, save the game once you land. I had to respawn 5 times before I got the advanced one. I just did this right now.
This! ^ I walked in and they were regular. Even when he looted them on the video they were regular, then they say Advanced when he cuts and goes to his inventory. This comment needs more likes
I'm here at work while searching for a good starter guide. I found your video, and now I'm getting hyped to go play the game and start a new character. 😂 thanks for the share!
The name isn't permanent as you can change it at any point in one of those visual enhancement business for a small price. You can also remove the Alien DNA trait as well in the medical facility in Neon (but I imagine that is also available for all medical vendors).
Let me tell you one thing: If the humanity figures out how to channel this amount of ingenuity and creativity into something that is objectively beneficial to all of us, other than (arguably) satisfying your digital kleptomaniac needs, we would have far less problems to worry about. That said, i applaud your effort in figuring all this out.
No doubt. Like i have said: admirable effort. The passion, and the spiritual investment is clearly there. A very revealing video. I will definitely keep a lot from this video in mind. Thank you.
Just wanted to say, thank you so much for investing so much time to play, record, & editing it with commentary. I really appreciate it. You offer players advice, tips n tricks, & easier faster ways to go about things without being arrogant about it or being overly aggressive/opinionated on how to progress. You speak clear, easy to listen to voice, and are straightforward “to the point” with things without skipping anything while simultaneously not giving spoilers. You’re not rushing through anything, & not overly explaining. You got a new follower here 😊. At first I was like whoah, 2 hour video? But I see why because you basically are doing a step by step process on what’s worked for you, trying to help others, and I find myself pausing your videos, playing the game, then going back to this video to make sure I didn’t over look anything or fudge it over lol. I rarely do that with commentary walkthrough videos. But you’re like a younger more upbeat Bob Ross on it 😂and I dig it. Relaxing to listen to & it’s not a boring walkthrough. Everyone likes different types of walkthrough/personalities of course, but I dig this, & apparently a heap of other people too. Keep doing what you’re doing! You make playing the game more exciting, for me personally, and for alot of OCD perfectionists type players, it eases the anxiety of regretting something later on. It’s like having someone sitting next to me playing the game with me almost, just showing me the ropes without being pushy about it. Soothing voice, good demonstration shots & you sound like a chill dude that’makes it feel like an old friend gaming along with you. I can tell you enjoy what you do, & that makes it all the better. Sorry for rambling on but, I don’t find alot of channels like this hitting all the marks of making a somewhat complex game at times, seem like a walk in a park. Especially for those who haven’t played Bethesda games before, it’s a good introduction. I’ve played all of their games but you make it feel like a game that’s already been out for a few years, if that makes sense. You make a sometimes frustrating game more enjoyable. Okay I’m done writing an essay now lol 😂 Point being, you’re awesome! Thank you again. 👌
The wanted trait can be a pain. The bounty hunters in space will be 3 times your level and usually more than one of them. The only options are to pay them off or run if you can't persuade them to leave you alone. If you decide to run, they will make sure to jam as many projectiles as possible into the rear of your ship before you get away. Lol.. The ground bounty hunters aren't too bad. Their levels will be pretty close to your own although higher. A good companion can take them out pretty easy .
If you open your map as soon as it loads you can warp away before they lock on, but there's a few tricks to bug out the ai so they can't shoot you and ways to build and arm even the cheapest ships to take on even end-game fleets or planet guards if you want. I treat the space stuff like a separate game so I was gonna save all those tips for another video.
Bro I’m running “very hard” difficulty & I had back to back bounties come after & the second set were savages and destroyed me. I had to switch difficulties right after my autosave. Their lasers literally wrecked my ship in seconds (15 times) after I spent 70k upgrading it lol. I got lucky on VH mode but I always died on the 3rd dude mowing me down with lasers. Wth!! Anyone know what are the best weapons for the ship to be able to board the enemies ship? Also any advise on improving ship battles?
@@Jaygoesin To disable and board ships you need EM weapons. Edit: Also, you need leveled Piloting skill in order to pilot and take them too. Found out the hard way when I tried to steal a Crimson Fleet ship on planet. Bethesda made it sound like you can just go steal any ship but it can be locked behind skills too.
@@keldonb2240 True, but you have to be close to the ships to target specific parts of the ship. It is easier to use EM weapons from distance to knock them out and then get close. Plus, the enemies don't make it easy to close, IMO, but I may just suck at space combat.
EDIT: okay i figured it out. Basically, when you go in the shop, check to make sure you have advanced magsheers. If you dont, then save, and then pick them up, who cares if he catches you stealing. Then reload and check again. You have to actually take them off the shelf before the reload to make sure that it respawns. I still dont know how you got the 3rd one. Old comment follows: 47:00 Something isn't right here in your explanation. Both guns on the left and right were normal magsheers before you stole them. However, when that NPC refused to leave and you just said "I'm going to just use the trashcan method to try to get the second one" you now have an advanced magsheer in your inventory, but there's no footage of you picking that up, and this is inconsistent with what was on the shelf. When I did this, its not the advanced one both were standard magsheers with 10 dmg and not 23dmg. Your demo on the damage was done using 23 dmg, which isn't my experience. The gun is nice, but it's not as much damage as yours. Do those guns change when you reload? If so you should add it. Additionally, How did you get the advanced one if they dont change? Where did you get your "extra" one you had in ship inventory? Where is that one at?
You have to save scum it to roll advanced ones. You also should do it on very hard. It was an editing error, as I tend to film these at like 4 in the morning with no sleep.
Thanks you for that, its very important bit of information! after 48 save scums, 12 planet side and 36 starting all the way before jumping into system on very hard, no changes in loot. One save scum at store right after picking up normal Magsheers and I get the two advanced. It must the only way to force reload of the loot table?
Started a new character today after reaching level 125. Used this guide and I have now maxed everything he went over. I also have almost maxed the majority of ship stuff now. After the end of the guide I’ve just gone on a va ruun hunting spree in serpentis. Almost level 20 now.
I'm subscribing all Starfield content that is positive, I love this game and I am happy supporting all content creators like this one here nice video man😎👍
In my opinion one of the best Guides for Starfield! This should be an unavoidable Video for everyone who plays Starfield! Thank you! Greetings from Germany. 😊
Overall awesome video, very much appreciated. Thanks so much for taking the time to put this together. I did have to load an older save sometime after the Magshear looting because it wasn't made apparent you needed to reload until you got the Advanced version. When I redid that area I actually ended up getting two Advanced Magshears. Also, for anyone else reading this... I did a quick save in the shop just before checking the Magshear version and when they were both normal, I just stole them in plain sight and then loaded the quick save before things got too crazy. I think I only did that a couple of times and got what I needed and it was a lot easier than knocking them off of the shelf and then reloading. Everything else was spot on and really easy to follow! Thanks again!
What an epic guide definitely earn a subscription. Thank you @SwoleBenji much appreciated. This 2-hour video actually accumulated to about 6/7 hours game play before the first mission😂😂 love it.
Following your guide; I use a differet method of "knocking" the weapons off the shelf. Take something small with you, (like water/Benzine) from your inventory, drop it on the ground and use it to "drag" things off the shelf, & then use it to "sweep/Hockey-puc" it wherever you want to go. It's more controllable than a trash can.
Thanks so much! I got my first character to level 29, but really wanted to see if there was anything I could do to have a much better start as far as skills and all that go -- glad I decided to watch this video. Made a new character, am level 8, and will be much better off moving forward.
Just wanted to add a quick tip for the stealing the gun in hope town part. The advanced version doesn't always appear. If you save before landing on the planet, you can reload the save and land again and it will change the guns available. Edit: I saw in another video that the guns don't spawn in their traits until you hover your reticle over them. As long as you don't look at the guns, you can save in the store and just reload until you get the advanced gun. This refines what I experienced down and should save a lot of time.
@masonballew5166 it only took me one try, but I have new info for you that should help. It's not loading out of the planet that reloads it. Go into the store, but do not look at the guns at all. Save the game, and then look at the gun. If it isn't advanced, then reload the save and try again. Apparently, it doesn't spawn in the item's traits until you actually hover your reticle over it. I saw this in another video, and I haven't had a chance to test it yet, so you should keep your save from before you land just in case. If it's true, then it should save you a lot of time. I will say this, RNGesus smiled on me with the gun but kicked me in the balls when it came to the armor. Took me forever to get something I was willing to use.
This was tremendously helpful! I restarted a new game after only an hour into it after finding this video. I haven't played an RPG since Fallout 4 so I needed the help. When creating my new character, I fat fingered a key and it saved by mistake. Next thing I know, Lin's calling me "the new girl." Thanks for sharing all this🤜!!
Thank you so much for this guide ! I got the best possible loot, I'm OP AF, grinded those Legendary weapons and gear. This is one hell of a long ass guide but it's worth it !
The displayed items may respawn via cell reset which typically for Bethesda games takes 3 days (not sure what the actual time for a cell reset is in starfield but for most of their games it's 3 days) but you have to be out of the area for the entire time.
I head a great time at Best Defence in Hopetown because not only did the guy sell a Grendel with 4 mods including armour piercing bullets and semi-auto, for some reason the Advanced Magshear stuck to my trash bin like glue, so I could just walk in the back room and steal it lol. Great guide!
Man great video I was going to start bounty hunter. But definitely going diplomat now and leveling security. The fact that you had them maxed by level 4 was insane. Love the video can't wait to start playing Wednesday. Look forward to more videos
Benji! That was very entertaining! I spent 4 days studying your guide, and started a new character so that I could take advantage of your advice. This was cool. I've got her about half way through this guide, with a couple of side tracks, and am looking forward to finishing your walk through and starting the main mission. This was great. Thank you for putting it out there.
Just wanted to add that to get the first Magshear you don't necessarily have to get it all the way into that back room. I got it by just swiping it off the shelf with the trash can to the right behind the cabinet you hid behind to get the second Magshear. As long as nobody is looking at you, it seems to obscure the gun from view for you to snag it...then again I might have just gotten very lucky :P But might be worth as shot as one good swipe with the trash can to the right should send it around there.
Tip: stealth in this game works mostly by noise and a little by line of sight, the combined weight of everything you wear and your gun contributes to movement sound, so to minimize your chance of getting caught go in your underwear and unarmed.
I just spent the last 2 days with this video and a brand new copy of the game. This was FANTASTIC! Everything worked as described. This is my first time watching one of your videos and you EARNED my sub. Thank you! Oh, and as far as lockpicking goes - I'm enjoying that part. I love soduko puzzles (or however you spell it), and the problem solving is similar. I made an Excel spreadsheet where I enter the number of holes each ring has, and the number of ridges and available ring use each key has. By some 'if this works, that can't" type thinking it narrows down key choices for you greatly.
Thanks for this video. I really like tutorials like this because it's helpful to know the mechanics behind leveling and other possibilities within the game. This is especially helpful with a game as complex as this. However, I may be old school, but (especially for my first play through) I like to play a little more slowly and enjoy the flavor of a new game. To enjoy the experience of learning these things on my own. For later characthers, I'll probably want to speedlevel through the first part, so this stuff will be very helpful. So, thanks again for this. Really appreciate your videos.
Quick tip that will especially speed up those first few minutes. You can right click to change the power on your laser drill between low and high. If there is any downside to running it at high, I haven't figured it out.
I am currently downloading starfield going on since friday night only at 64% but i was wanting the fan maybe to keep if he is good or maybe if theres a way to eject him into space or something as a vendetta against oblivions fan
I’ve played less than 8 hours and got 3 crew members before he even appeared. I’ve heard he gives you good stuff randomely (haven’t experienced that myself) but as an “extra free crew member” it’s absolutely not necessary/redundant
Thank you soo much for this, now I can actually enjoy the game after restarting the game 2 times. I saw your vid before starting my 3 run of starfield 😊
Great tutorial...it makes early play lots more fun, IMO. I didn't take enough Magshear ammo for my initial assault on the Mantis base, but I went back to Neon and bought more, allowing me to finish the mission. The outpost won't reset (at least for now) so you can actually leave the planet and come back after selling and getting more ammo. I really learned a ton on how to be a really good cyber thief. Fun!
It would be so funny if that woman "you never see again" at the beginning of the game ends up in a dlc that has an important role, and she remembers you
Hard not to spoil stuff but there's a "feature" to uhh... time travel or switch dimensions later, so you can just Rick 'n Morty to a universe where you never took her sandwich. :)
i got wrecked first time going in up in Mantis ship. had to lower difficulty to very easy to survive. was a fresh character more or less. also had to start the beginning of the ranger quest line to even be able to fly out to Mantis dungeon. Great guide, thanks. made me restart the game from fresh after 3 days :)
What a great video! Thanks. I was about 15 hours with the purpose of getting a feel for the game and then start again. Perfect timing finding this video.
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but the "Assisted Carry" gear perk doesn't add a drain as you stated. It actually lowers the oxygen drain when carrying too much, and by a drastic 75%. Very good perk for the horders like myself.
Can confirm that saving and loading inside the shop does still work to spawn Advanced Magshears. I just got two of them after three or four reloads. FYI the tooltips said Advanced right on the shelf, so no need to go to the trouble of moving them first. I did that before ever talking to the vendor, then saved the game again after picking up the two advanced magshears. 3 more reloads after that and the vendor inventory had an Assassin's Calibrated Grendel (tech barrel, reflex sight, suppressor, AP rounds, and semi-auto) for sale. Don't think it gets any better than that. All done on Very Hard.
If this is true, it's a very rare chance. I also tried on very hard, reloading for at least 20 minutes before my patience gave out. Never saw anything but 2 regular magshears. Edit: Yeah, looks like this DOES work, but it can take a long time. I actually gave up and was trying to get the regular magshears, but accidentally pushed one of them into a corner where I couldn't push it anymore, so I reloaded and of course one of them was an advanced magshear on reload.
I’ve been reloading in the shop with no luck. Until I moved and looted both regular magshears into the storage room out of boredom. Next reload both were advanced. Still works, Good luck!
I have 2 characters, one is new and the other is level-26, on the new character I did that reload in store like 3 times and got the Advanced Magshears, the level-26 I have reloaded around 40 times and never see the Advanced Magshears. I've tried every reload I can think of, reload in store, reload at star system entry, reload last Exit Save etc... So I can see why some replies say it didn't work.
Best Starfield video EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! Thanks a lot @SwoleBenji !!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, found a tactic/glitch to do TONS OF MONEY in Neon Core, sharing with you as you maybe want to do a video about it, very simple (same as your videos): 1 - steal something from any store and keep it on you (weapon, armor, whatever) 2 - let the guards catch you 3 - tell them "I'm coming with you, don't want any trouble" 4 - DO NOT pay any money (although they will take anyway very small amount) 5 - you finish in jail, but not in a cell, actually near 3x unlocked boxes: A - One with your stolen goods - take them in stealth mode (still mark as stolen) B - One with contraband (not always) - freebies - respawn after a few days. C - nothing ever here Now go and sell all to the Trade Authority in town !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Repeat again and again !!! 6 - Bonus - steal the officers weapons from the room - will respawn after a few days. AMAZING STRATEGY WORKED FOR ME, on the same point that you pointed out that you're free to roam!!! Enjoy - and please do this as a video - it will help SO MANY !!!
How to get OP Weapons: This immediately took me back to Morrowind where early on in the game you could travel to Vivec(I think it was Vivec) and there was a vault that you could get into and steal a bunch of glass armor and weapons and all sorts of other loot. I almost think Bathesda leaves these exploits in on purpose. Really glad you shared this in the video.... great info.
You don’t have to fast travel back to your ship to store items, just open TAB menu, select your ship on lower left, select cargo, transfer items to ship storage. You can do this from anywhere and even when you are overloaded.
I think they might have patched this. I just tried and I can look a the ships inventory but I cant transfer things to it. Maybe it doesn't work while you are in a building.
just stared playing the other day came cross your guide here thank god i did, i might have done an ooopsie and faught the lvl 30 something starborn ship but i beat it with the ship in your guide, got all the stuff from the guide, and took about 40 mins but got the armor with 40 weight and 50% weapon reduction weight, and well got all you said, i have came accross a better grendal since , i was only ever able to find a semi auto, but now i got a furious modified callibrated with long barrel compensator and semi auto, so better than i had, had a semi auto and some type of sight on the one i ended up settling with your guide helped me a new player a ton so you got a new sub =) keep up the great work
I followed your guide over the last few nights, not played for years so let's say it took a bit longer than two hours. Didn't quite get the last security level, but only need a couple more. When picking up the mantis suit I found a good combo early on so saved the game, but I had not actually picked it up and when I reloaded after not finding anything better in ten minutes the loadout was different, I'd lost the suit I wanted. Looks like the drop resets even if you have looked at it. I was tired though so did not confirm that... Thank you for your videos, one of the things that made me dust off my laptop with a rtx 2060 in it.
"Sol" is definitely pronounced "Soul" like "Solar system" and not "Saul" like you went with :P I cant seem to find a legitimate real-life source but "Sol" is *very* often what space games use to refer to our solar system specifically, as it is in this one.
I'm not sure if I want to really do this. I sort-of like discovering the "game world" myself. I DID have to watch all of it, because there are so many play tips throughout that I had not noticed in-game or heard from the intro tutorials. Thank you. I am amazed that you could produce this with the game "in the wild" for such a short time!
- If you chose a key ring and the the outer ring of the lock doesnt turn blue , it means it not a vaiable option. -take a pen and paper for expert and master. -always start trying key ring with most "teeth".
For anyone who hasn't done it yet, I just got the Advanced Magshear from the store in Hopetown like he shows in this video, but you can just jump up onto the shelf, crouch, and then use your melee and hit the gun off the shelf by bashing it with your gun/ or punching it, I did this and was able to hit it all the way into the back room, closed the door and stole it no probs, and didn't have to try push it with a trash can. So that's another way you can do it!. Also I did this at level 19 so I think you can do this at any point you want to, not just before you start the main missions etc.
I'm currently in the process of following this guide. I managed to get enough misc items to level my mercantile and then some. Its insane how many items are just sitting there. It was agony picking them all up.
Messed up my order, got off your guide, so I''m re-starting order. 😆 Btw, if you are just starting, there's a hidden alcove in the mine behind some rock rubble you can blast that has a different type of ore. Another suggestion is to re-enter the mine after you get your ability to scan, as you miss a lot of ore otherwise. One other thing I've noticed is that each time you start, the world changes. Not just the caves, but your luck on loot you find, maybe even the difficulty setting as I've noticed even on normal some of the enemies are easier or harder. I've restarted well over 25 times so if you don't like the game play just restart.
Your guide was money!!! I have one other weapon to add to the list of crazy good, "Rare" Cornered Assassin's Advanced Grendel w/ Recon Laser Sight/Suppressor/Whitehot Rounds/ Burst Fire, it's a must have.
If you want to make a little more sure that you have enough ammo, pick up all the weapons as well. They're also usually pretty good to sell but crucially they also contain some ammo that you automatically take out of it when you pick them up.
*Click the "Thanks" button under the video to leave me a donation.* This video will allow you to take on the highest leveled enemies in the game with ease, travel without restriction and smuggle with an OP space ship, and make you filthy rich the very second the game lets you free roam. I did a "lets play" following this guide if you want more detail where I left out the security leveling: ua-cam.com/video/TKyeSLhBccU/v-deo.html
Having issues getting the advanced magshear?
If you use the gun bench in the store and mod the magshear, it removes the stolen mark
@@lagrangewei It does if it's common words. It used to read everything in testing.
@@KaNe-007 Nice tip! That's huge.

I can't because I was able to win all the 6 tiers and now he wont let me
I did that
Thanks for the tip amigo!! ✊️
@@NokeNoke15 Oh wait, so then we would need to fail on purpose to re-do them it seems...hmm can my pride take it for TEH POWA?... Yeah NP.
It's more fun to actually level it using the NG+ starborn ship. You actually get loot while you're leveling.
Ty you are a legend it just worked for me
@@grimreaper4948 for future reference this is an oversight on all of them, I've stolen full sets from heaps of stores to sell like this
Thank you! It worked quiet easily. If anyone is having trouble, crouch down to the lower right hand side of the case and just trace the bottom right corner by the foot up the leg.
You’re the GOAT
Holy Shit! It actually worked.
Diff never changed loot quality in any bethesda game it doesnt change in starfield either its a myth
@@nightowlfunnitizer4267 you’re wrong for example in fallout 4 on Hard or Very Hard difficulty legendary enemies spawn more frequently meaning you get more legendary weapons.
@@nightowlfunnitizer4267 wrong!
Andreja comes with that perk defaulted. She's great to take with you on stealth missions.
Yeah see I can't figure out how to get my comps to wear what I give them they all insist on that fugly looking constellation gear
Level 2.
He shows this on the video
yea, he mentions it in the video...
you didnt watch the video did you?
Quick Tip on 46:55 the MAGSHRAR itself, don’t sell the second one. Keep the two of them, give one to any of your current followers and give em like 1-50 .50 MI ammo so they can equip it/Equip it for them. That way not only you’ll be using an overpowered gun but also your follower too. You’ll see what I mean when I call this the Army of Two duo. It’s insane how accurate and devastating the gun can be in your companions hand 😏. Not to abuse it, I only let my companion equip it when we fighting really OP enemies at the hardest difficulty cuz the wreckage we do is too much 🤣
1-50 ammo? Does this mean they can use it when that ammo is up or is that just the amount you keep on them so they dont go crazy with it?

Just stole both guns and they are both regular magshears. Did I do something wrong?
1:46:15 Here is a tip. A single point in Stealth. More if you can, but that first one is the most important. It lets you know when NPCs are looking at you. If you are going to be taking things that aren't yours, knowing when it is safe to do so is key.
Agree. Level 1 Stealth was my 3rd point buy. It is a must!
It annoyed me that he didn’t have that
One thing I’ve noticed if you can’t see them you are basically good.
This might be the best guide that I've ever seen, regardless of game. I was level thirty when i found it and this made me restart
in that cave at the start there is a hidden alcove under the bridge when you go under the bridge look for grey stone on the right side use the cutter on it and you will find three nodes of Europium inside.
Just discovered it today, plus there is an easter egg for Nasa in there. Nasa coffee cup.
For those that don't know, aiming with the cutter increases the effectiveness of the beam so you can harvest resources faster, it also does more damage to enemies
Huge. 33% increase in damage!
was gonna mention this as well :D
I wish they would let me take the battery out of the cutter and let me put it in a equinox laser rifle for infinite shots with a cooldown
What do you mean by "aiming" with the cutter? Idk, maybe I'm stupid, but I can't aim down sigths with it if that is what you mean.
Exit the security building
Fast travel to Pluto and sit for 24 hrs (I think you only need 6 but I just watch yt while doing this)
Fast travel back to neon city and do it over and over until you have a ton of contraband in the storage container,
Then take it all out and run to the trade authority to sell as much as the vendor can afford
Sit on the stools and wait 48 hrs
Repeat until it's all sold.
I have a couple mil from doing this and it takes the least amount of time. Almost quicker than selling resources bc you can't Fast travel when encumbered and all the things you're selling are close to the place you sell them at. Give it a try 👍
Truly amazed you managed such an indepth guide with no substantial spoilers. Subscribed.
You can mine the blue crystals in the cave with the artifact
You can grab all of it before mining the artifact.

Bro this is the most helpful and in depth guide to have a much more fun start to the game. Thank you so much for the time you put into this.
This might be the best starter guide for starfield. I did not have the same character build as him, but still followed the guide with no problem.
Couldn't see a shed there. Is it a building you enter?
43:33
There’s a “perk” (look under the stats in the description of the weapon) you can get for the Grendel (I think all the weapons can have it) that also makes it do double damage if the target is at full health.
I got an Instigator Hard Target, best gun I ever found.
Which side quest?
Did all the Well quests, the tree one, and been sporadically doing the GalBank ones. Did a lot of stealing once I had the Mantis suit.
If you briefly press LT (aim) before firing your laser cutter, it pre-charges it, mining minerals in about 1 second rather than 5 seconds

One thing to recognize on the lock picking is that the rings will change from a shade of grey to a shade of blue IF the chosen option will or will not work on that particular ring.
This is especially useful on expert and master...
Oh, nevermind you just explained it on the video 😂
Another good tip is to work from the innermost ring outward.
Knock out the main story and try it in a new game +
I had two hours in then found this video so it was an easy choice for me😂
@@SwoleBenjithis comment 100%.

People like me in the early days were the ones making accurate maps down to the inch.
@@abrahambobst4602 You don’t need EM weapons to board ships, you just need to disable their engine iirc
@@keldonb2240 True, but you have to be close to the ships to target specific parts of the ship. It is easier to use EM weapons from distance to knock them out and then get close. Plus, the enemies don't make it easy to close, IMO, but I may just suck at space combat.
Hands down the best starting guide I’ve seen. Fixing to follow this guide to a T!! Thanks for posting this.
This is the way, hours of save scumming, nothing. Pick them up once and reload and bang. Legend.
Started a new character today after reaching level 125.
Used this guide and I have now maxed everything he went over. I also have almost maxed the majority of ship stuff now. After the end of the guide I’ve just gone on a va ruun hunting spree in serpentis. Almost level 20 now.
To be specific I mean Piloting, Targeting Systems, and Shields, not all of them lol
I'm subscribing all Starfield content that is positive, I love this game and I am happy supporting all content creators like this one here nice video man😎👍
I literally followed this whole video tonight and feel like I can truly take on this game now. Thank you!

I started a new character after my hit 12 he wonders around aimlessly till i followed ur method to the T. Best restart ever!
I gave the Adoring Fan the advanced magshear, 1 bullet.. and he completely smacked the entire secret outpost 😂
For the armor set in the Lodge you can click directly on the mannequin through a gap in the door to get the armor. No picking required.
You are a gentleman and a scholar.
Been fixed for release, you can still see the mannequin and click it, but it does nothing.
@@jamesyoung6145 no it hasnt , did it just last night,
@@garyhilton6042 hmm I'll give it another go
Where is this gap in the door you speak of?
How long did it take you to get the advanced version to spawn? I have been reloading for hours on very hard with no luck.
Can confirm saving before looking at them works. Took about 6 tries
@patrickwhelan8528 Thanks for the confirmation. I still haven't had a chance to test it myself.
@@patrickwhelan8528 not working at ALL for me
This was tremendously helpful!
Followed this guide to the very end. Thanks a ton for the awesome head start. It was fun playing along with the guide aswell! Keep up the great work!
How long has it taken you so far?
Just wanted to add that to get the first Magshear you don't necessarily have to get it all the way into that back room. I got it by just swiping it off the shelf with the trash can to the right behind the cabinet you hid behind to get the second Magshear. As long as nobody is looking at you, it seems to obscure the gun from view for you to snag it...then again I might have just gotten very lucky :P But might be worth as shot as one good swipe with the trash can to the right should send it around there.
I was able to steal it right off the shelf 🤷♂️
@@HeshyBoii Yeah, I stole some other guns right off the shelf there, too.
Tip: stealth in this game works mostly by noise and a little by line of sight, the combined weight of everything you wear and your gun contributes to movement sound, so to minimize your chance of getting caught go in your underwear and unarmed.
This took me all day - and I had a blast! Thank you for the guide, and the fun!
Haha same, 2hr video, took me 7hrs to do it all lol.
Same, lengthy set up but well worth it. Although it took me over 30 mins just rerolling the legendary arnour for the right stats for me.
Thank you for the guide. It took me 9 rolls to get the armor piercing semi grendel plus the 2 weapons on the shelf.
Another fantastic guide. Used to watch your New World guides, they were a great help! Give this guy a sub and a like, he deserves it.
Energy drains faster
I would recommend Hero Warshiped, because if you don't mind the annoying npc it is quite nice to have a free crew member early.
I am currently downloading starfield going on since friday night only at 64% but i was wanting the fan maybe to keep if he is good or maybe if theres a way to eject him into space or something as a vendetta against oblivions fan
His skills aren’t that great tho sadly
Fun!
Nice. I'm studying thiefy tips for a future spyguy playthru. Gonna steal Everything, in a Robin Hood way. So this is gold.
How you managed to figure out how to game the system in just 2 weeks after release is very impressive. Bravo My Friend Bravo 👏😁
used the cameleon armor for the bank digipicking.
Be careful when you spam "sell" on the misc category. You sold your digipicks at the first merchant encounter.
Screw that. I'm stealing her sandwich in every reality
@SwoleBenji I wasn't saying don't steal it lol, I just think it would be funny
I spent all day on this guide and it worked just as he said! would HIGHLY recommend sticking with it.
Great guide ! Concise clear directions, entertaining. Good job !
i got wrecked first time going in up in Mantis ship. had to lower difficulty to very easy to survive. was a fresh character more or less. also had to start the beginning of the ranger quest line to even be able to fly out to Mantis dungeon. Great guide, thanks. made me restart the game from fresh after 3 days :)
Amazing work. I'm starting a brand new game tonight and using majority of these tips. Great job putting all this together, amazing.
so you waited all this time to play this game, and you're just going to play it the same way as this guy? you for real?
What a great video! Thanks. I was about 15 hours with the purpose of getting a feel for the game and then start again. Perfect timing finding this video.
Same here.
I felt so guilty when I stole that guys sandwich.. lol
samee, literally died laughing when he spoke
This game is what bungie's destiny wishes it could be.
Same. It literally made me sit and rethink how I was going to play the game.
Hey that’s my sandwich awe man.
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but the "Assisted Carry" gear perk doesn't add a drain as you stated. It actually lowers the oxygen drain when carrying too much, and by a drastic 75%. Very good perk for the horders like myself.
Late game you'll never be overweight even if you loot everything so it's worthless.
How. I’ve been reloading for 30 mins on very hard. Same ol regular gun.
Also, found a tactic/glitch to do TONS OF MONEY in Neon Core, sharing with you as you maybe want to do a video about it, very simple (same as your videos):
1 - steal something from any store and keep it on you (weapon, armor, whatever)
2 - let the guards catch you
3 - tell them "I'm coming with you, don't want any trouble"
4 - DO NOT pay any money (although they will take anyway very small amount)
5 - you finish in jail, but not in a cell, actually near 3x unlocked boxes:
A - One with your stolen goods - take them in stealth mode (still mark as stolen)
B - One with contraband (not always) - freebies - respawn after a few days.
C - nothing ever here
Now go and sell all to the Trade Authority in town !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Out of all the videos covering early start choices, yours is the best!
Great guide! Really helped me out a lot! Can’t thank you enough for all your hard work 😃
How to get OP Weapons: This immediately took me back to Morrowind where early on in the game you could travel to Vivec(I think it was Vivec) and there was a vault that you could get into and steal a bunch of glass armor and weapons and all sorts of other loot.
Maybe it doesn't work while you are in a building.
you'll have to be close to your ship to do this.
this is not true.
just stared playing the other day came cross your guide here thank god i did, i might have done an ooopsie and faught the lvl 30 something starborn ship but i beat it with the ship in your guide, got all the stuff from the guide, and took about 40 mins but got the armor with 40 weight and 50% weapon reduction weight, and well got all you said, i have came accross a better grendal since , i was only ever able to find a semi auto, but now i got a furious modified callibrated with long barrel compensator and semi auto, so better than i had, had a semi auto and some type of sight on the one i ended up settling with
your guide helped me a new player a ton so you got a new sub =) keep up the great work
Man you were straight to the point !!! ... What a video you have made thank you ... Subscribed
"Sol" is definitely pronounced "Soul" like "Solar system" and not "Saul" like you went with :P
I cant seem to find a legitimate real-life source but "Sol" is *very* often what space games use to refer to our solar system specifically, as it is in this one.
Yup. There is only one Solar system, ours.

Such a good intro, I started playing Starfield yesterday, but having seen this vid I'm going back to the beginning to level up first.
I'm currently in the process of following this guide. I managed to get enough misc items to level my mercantile and then some. Its insane how many items are just sitting there. It was agony picking them all up.
I bough that OP weapon from USC outfitters while credit harvesting, took about 20 tries. Great video.
correction UC Distribution center.
Messed up my order, got off your guide, so I''m re-starting order. 😆
Btw, if you are just starting, there's a hidden alcove in the mine behind some rock rubble you can blast that has a different type of ore.
Definitely the kinda star field video I’ve been looking for.
If you want to make a little more sure that you have enough ammo, pick up all the weapons as well. They're also usually pretty good to sell but crucially they also contain some ammo that you automatically take out of it when you pick them up.
