From my days in the marching band in the 50's, never doing anything as fancy as the Ohio State band, I would buy a ticket to a game just to watch the band in person. I must admit too, being a disabled veteran, this performance brought several tears to my eyes. This generation not patriotic? Not a chance, just tell them why we should be a proud nation.
hmm. Haven't been to NY lately. Have ya? Here in NY, our lives goals and inspirations are to remove statues of famous people. Because after all. they are racists and must be removed. Such a pity. the East and left coasts are pathetic. It's the south and the mid west that is holding us together.
My heart was bursting with pride and happiness for our country. Because of all these wonderful young people who are so dedicated to what they’re doing. Not only for the State of Ohio and the Buckeyes…but to America, the USA! So proud of you guys and gals! God bless us everyone. From California.
This is the most incredible performance I've ever seen on a football field!! When my son was in high school, he was in the marching band, and I'd go to the games, but not for the football. I can't even imagine what it takes to make something like this come together, but these young people and their dedication to the music and the formations are amazing! I've spent a good portion of my day watching the videos of this stupendous marching band, and with each new video viewed, I am, once more, both breathless and speechless over what I am seeing. Thank you so very much for putting these performances on UA-cam; I can't tell you how very much I've enjoyed watching them!
Coming from somebody who plays in a marching band, this is absolutely incredible! I can't even imagine how much time they all dedicated to learning this show.
The regular student band had about 10 hours of rehearsal time (2 hours a day Monday through Friday) the week leading up to this game. The alumni (in red shirts) had exactly 2 hours of music rehearsal the night before, and 2 hours of marching rehearsal the morning of this performance.
I'm so glad you,us and the British won the war.Im Canadian and my dad was on Juno beach 1944.Im glad were not doing the goose step.I love you Americans. 🌷
I'm not even an OSU fan, but that was a very heart-warming experience! The quadruple script Ohio was just a plain hair raising experience! Keep up the good work Buckeyes.
Love the marching band!!! It gave me chills seeing this performance. Miss being there so much. Was blessed to be there for 25 great years. A Buckeye forever!
I am watching this 10 years after this was put together and Trump has just become the president for the 2nd time. We need this kind of American pride back and we need To put our trust back in God the founders did so why shouldn't we GOD BLESS AMERICA now AMERICA BLESS GOD!

What is the name of the song that starts at the 1:12 mark? I hear it every year on the fourth but can never Identify it.
Was that a veterans band that joined them in red, or alumni perhaps?
