For some people that are wondering the spinning thing in the gun would basically act as gyroscope which makes the gun stable and hold it's position without wobbling too much. Same tech is used for balancing in some robots or even used in self balancing motorcycles.
@@UncleRickyJr you have a fair perception. technically a rifle is called a rifle because of that. It has a spiral groove inside the barrel. That's why rifles are usually longer so that they have enough path for the bullets to aquire adequate spin. Longer the grooved path; the more stable the bullet emerges when shot. Those grooves are called riflings and the guns are called rifles because of that characteristic. In bloodsport's gun however the spin is outside of the gun and that short distance that the extension he put on covers wouldn't have made much difference. Plus it has extended weights protruding from the extension which wouldn't be necessary if it was just for the bullet. So we can be sure that it was for stabilization of the gun barrel for aiming long range rather than for the bullet itself.

When it's hard to tell if the gun is CGI or a prop, or maybe a mix of both, you know they made a good job. People always complain about CGI in movies but the trick with it is to make the CGI feel like it is part of the scene, bad CGI looks like a video game character/object that's obviously fake, good CGI is one where you can buy that maybe the character/object is there. Same with Starro, it is very obviously CGI but the way it is animated and interacts with the scene does give the illusion that it is really there despite you subconciously knowing it is fake.

It has more to do with James Gunn than DC. Look at CGI in WW84. Even in Marvel, Guradians CGI is incredible compared to other Marvel movies
This is the second time Elba’s fighting with Kaijus
And just like before he "canceled the Apocalypse."
He's a black Superman
Dear James Gunn:
You have said that you were interested in making video games set in your new DCU. And with the upcoming Cyberpunk DLC, Idris Elba now has a precedent for being in video games.
C'mon. C'mooooooooon.
Badass moment.
Yeah that gun is like Starlord's quad blasters and Quinqe from Tokyo ghoul Re
I love how bloodshot’s first 2 shots sync with the music to make you feel each blow. I expect nothing less from James Gunn.
Who?
@@justinbrown4045 the director of the movie
bloodshot
Bloodsport walking towards starro while shooting it, even though we know its barely just a tickle to him is really giving me a "your average Imperial guardsman on deployment" vibes.
Bloodsport: no one likes a showoff…
Also Bloodsport:
To be fair, all of that barely got Starro's attention.
"Unless what they showing off is dope as fuck"
Bloodsport isn't showing off, he's just that cool.
The gun being assembled and firing was so badass. And I love that slight frustrated depression he started to show when he realized the gun was doing nothing.
At the end...
Everyone: *"what the hell is that?!!"*
Bloodsport: *"it's Nanotech, you like it?"*
Bloodsports weaponry is so well done and thought out. Highly advanced nano-tech weapons placed all across his suit.
Deadshot is cool and all… but nothing is deadlier than a man that can make weapons out of his armor BLOODSPORT TOOK IT HOME FOR ME!
When the javelin has more screentime than Javelin himself
Those hi-ex rounds would've penetrated starro's eyes easily but hey they gotta give it to harley. Lol
they give javelin to harley for a reason lol
Harley didn’t even do anything it was the rats that ended starro
@@jesusblanco7657 Harley made the hole with the javelin, allowing the rats to enter the eyeball
@@abbeyBominable123 yet it was the rats that killed starro lol
@@jesusblanco7657 It was a team effort, PD Man took out one of his legs, Bloodsport dealt damage to his body and killed some of the infected, Harley broke through the eye, King Shark ate some of the flesh and Ratcatcher 2 called in the rats to finish him off.
Edit: Was reading some of the newer comments and one of them made me remember Milton and Sebastions involvement, they were both amazing team players and may Milton rest in polkadots.
It's scenes like this that made me love Bloodsport
The Eye: "Hey look at me, I'm the softest, squishiest, and quite possibly the weakest part of the alien! I'm also big, centered, and easy to hit!"
Bloodsport: **shoots anywhere but it**
This is why i dont have interest on this movie , i mean its okay if this movie for 10 year old but for adult it just dumb
@@aditlurr8036 It's a comic book movie.
@@aditlurr8036 i mean, did someone ask?
Based on the rounds effects. I think he went from a pistol to a rifle to some kind of heavy shotgun to a grenade launcher once the gyroscopic stabilizer was on.
I think this movie has some of the best CGI I’ve ever seen. King Shark looks to be the most realistic fully CGI character I’ve ever seen, I mean this whole scene alone is a great example of perfect CGI. Starro, the nanotech gun, all of it.
I'm guessing you've never seen Davy Jones
Nah I still think the cgi work on thanos and even pirates of the Caribbean is better
eh transformers?
I just realised the very second the video starts, Idris Elba was struggling to find the attachment on his lap.
without that spinning gyro, his gun might fly out of his hands due to the recoil, what a crazy tech
At the second shot of him shooting the gun you can see how powerful the recoil is, so yeah i really like the artist that thought of adding the gyro to the gun
I could watch this all day. It's so damn satisfying to watch. And every time I come back the view counter keeps increasing.
It would be strange af if it was decreasing
If the javelin could penetrate Starro’s eye, I feel like this gun would have been able to as well.
Javelin is magical.
javelin is special .its probably made outta some kinda material just like vibranium when bloodsport only launch grenades
It could penetrate but we don't know for sure if it would reach deep enough
Harley went directly for the center of the eye. Bloodsport's shots were along Starro's sides mainly.
@@danielhaire6677 If your point is that he didn't penetrate the eye because he didn't shoot at the eye, then yes, you are correct. The most logical question would then be, why didn't he shoot at the eye?
When Bloodsport's daughter saw him in the news fighting a giant monster I had a smile in my face. It was a heartwarming moment.
It's nerf or nothin
Starro: All that for a drop of blood
People on Bloodsport before TSS: "Who?"
People on Bloodsport after TSS: "Yooo Bloodsport is doooope!!!"
Say anything you want but you can't deny that Mr. Gunn can make cinema miracles
Same reaction to me when I saw this movie, I thought it's gonna be like a discount Deadshot... Cuz personally, I love Will Smith's portrayal of Deadshot. But when I saw this movie I'm like "Hot damn this guy so cool"

@@KKMM-7200 that’s cute and all but Superman is a walking target if a villain dared it they could buy some black market kryptonite and try themselves
That’s why cooler than having weapons summoned to you via teleportation
Y’know, I’m still not positive who’s my favorite of these five. They all are just so damn likable in the best ways, and unlikable in the best ways.
Thank you James Gunn and DC for such a fun set of supers
The sound design on the gun assembling is simply satisfying. 😌👌🏼
To quote from Deadpool 2:
“That gun is amazing”.
This just looks like one of those Power Rangers moments, when the whole team makes 1 Huge Gun that one of them uses to defeat the Bad Guy...
When the quiet kid finally gains self confidence.
Shit just got real when you pull up the best weapon from your arsenal.
Better thank the bald man himself

@@homanism6438 well he did make Bloodsport into what he is
When you fit end-game attachments to the starter pistol:
easily the coolest shit I’ve seen all year round
Bloodsport really took that "Unless what their showing off is dope af" personally
the movements matching the beats for just a few seconds was sooo edgar wright.. loved it. wished the shots after that wouldve matched the beat as well
Same. I was getting some Edgar Wright vibes during the whole movie
I googled Bloodsport Big Gun and was not disappointed.
Did anyone else get nerf gun vibes when he was adding all of those attachments?
I hope they make one designed after this

The gun's component are so detailed and so smooth, that you can see it clearly.
It's better than Tony Stark's nano tech, although i prefer MCU than DCEU
Tony starks nano tech is waay better...or is it wakandan tech.
@@HeavenTheWorld70hjs I think what he meant waa visually in the movie. Not overall use in their respective world.
I prefer mcu way over dceu but visually this nanotech looks better than wakandans nano and some of tony's nano scenes. Though I still love tony's a bit more during his fight with thanos at titan except the last part.
@@marcuswolve7297 yeah i mean nano tech mcu are in the different level,
