Absolutely love the way that Gunn flipped the cliched "prison talk" scene. Usually an imprisoned dad and their child have a sympathetic heart-to-heart, but here it literally just becomes a scream-off.

Amanda Waller is one of those characters that is just vile. But she is a very well written character in comics. The film’s must of had the easiest time writing for her. And Viola Davis makes the character so bad ass with her performance.
C.C. Pounder voiced Waller in the DCAU shows and the DC animated movies. _Assault on Arkham_ is an all-star must see. Pounder's Waller even got Kevin Conroy's Batman to back down.
and then the comics fucked up Waller by trying to make her skinny and sexy to increase the thirsty boi sales

@brennanhunt2722 The writers who created Waller made her a fat, ugly, mean, manipulative, sadistic, megalomaniac woman. She has no redeeming features and wasn't meant to have them. She's so hideously awful and heartless she makes you feel sorry for the supervillains she abuses and kills. And she's a bureaucrat that's so connected and powerful that even the Justice League can't stop her.
She's not supposed to be attractive or sympathetic.
This movie deserved so much more than what it got. Anything with Idris Elba does.
He even voiced Knuckles in the Sonic 2 movie!

I mean, she's literally the cause of everyone's problems. The entire film events occur because she fucked up.
Her purpose in the DC universe was to be mean, cruel and non-empathetic. There were calls by fans and activists to make her more relatable, prettier, or nicer. Her creator resisted because that's not who she is. She's basically a Process Queen from the DMV who got jumped up to the top of the Deep State. Her entire purpose is to potentially kill the entire Justice League (if it came to that) by using the world's worst super-criminals as disposable deniable assets.
The Thinker and the general are worse
At least they get there's,Waller only gets knocked out with a Golf club.

I mean Idris’s characters supposed to be pissed off and enraged because ya he isn’t the best father and he acts like he doesn’t care, but in his own way he does care. It’s why he’d be angry and why him spitting while being angry would make sense and why Gunn kept that shoot especially with Viola not reacting.

3:38 is almost EXACTLY when Bloodsport clocks the pen cup and why he doesn't need to look to grab it later. From the moment he knew Amanda was willing to use his own daughter against him this man was ready to go to WORK.
Love this movie and any one who can put Superman in the ICU is very badass to me.

The thing that annoys me about the first one is you can see these little fragments of what could have been a really good movie, the rest of it was just trash unfortunately they used the most cliche themes and chopped it up to make some sort of disconcerting mess.
