In the original comics, Bloodsports doesnt have nanotech as weapons but instead a teleporting device that can teleport any advance weapon straight to his arm which were given by Lexcorp so he can kill Superman. But the movie decide to change it to nanotech which is totally awesome and lot cooler imo.
If you think about it, anyone who never did vermin exterminators as a job before then of course anybody would be afraid of rats especially women. Back in the day, women would jump on top of chairs holding their skirts up while screaming because they see a mouse or a rat around them.

Well, Bloodsport's problem is that he's literally shoving his guns into the face of his targets, which mean nothing to an enemy that doesn't care about losses; so long as a 'zombie' can grab a gun out of his hand before it dies, that's technically a win.
Peacemaker got his own show. It's about time we get one for Bloodsport, my favorite character from the movie. The suit, that suit is gorgeous. Loved that. His abilities, weapons and gadgets are outstanding. A series would give us more of those on display.

At first I thought his ability was literally to turn anything electronic or mechanical into a weapon. Like he just touches a phone or clock and it turns into something lethal, hence all the little gadgets on his suit. But turns out its nanotech
I love that they did not even introduce him properly ( Weapons, powers, abilities) you just figure him out throughout the movie and let's you decide if he's badass or not, which i think he is, those wrist arrows are sick.

He's right up there with alongside the likes of Deathstroke, Deadpool, Spawn, Chapel, Fantomex, Grail, the Punisher, Deadshot, Dane, Warblade, Crossbones, Bloodstrike, and Taskmaster - and this film really did him justice. Just as much as the first Suicide-Squad movie did with Deadshot, (though the film itself wasn't very good, Will Smith's Deadshot and Kinneman's Rick Flag were fucking phenomenal and made it worth watching imo).
Originally, the actor was going to be replacing Will Smith as Deadshot, but they decided to make him Bloodsport to leave the window open for Will Smith returning as Deadshot. Honestly, I love that they went with that decision because we get to see more DC villains in the movies.
I love they used Bloodsport instead because he's less known then Deadshot so they had more room to make him standout, because there wasn't too much presumption on how his character should be. Also Idris is helluva lot better and cooler then Will "Bitchslap" Smith.

Superman has been killed many times before. If we are limiting it to persons or at least humanoids or human-like, he has been killed in the Obsidian Age arc along with the rest of the League. Gog has killed multiple Supermen. Superboy Prime killed the Earth-2 Superman, which is golden age Superman. Enchantress + Killer Frost nearly killed Superman. Manchester Black also nearly killed Superman by giving him a stroke. An energy version of Superman killed New 52 Superman as well. If we go by DC animation, Metallo also almost killed Superman with a Kryptonite Bullet in Justice League: Doom. If we aren't limiting it to humanoids, there is Doomsday of course.

It's not much of a "redemption arc" as he's still a villain at the end of the film, more precisely an Anti-villain here. And Bloodsports' suit is more of a symbol than whatever Winter Solider had.
