There's the OG intro! Really enjoy this content. Learn from my mistake fam. Car was put on a lift and the foot squished the filter when it was lifted. It's easy to do accidentally.
M3NACE ahh so that's the menace intro algorithm ha. Gotta admit it took me a while to realize the 3 in M3NACE had M3 in there....duh in my part. The filter didn't bust and it was being replaced, but ya It was dented when I took it off and quickly learned why by my own error.
M3NACE side note, really cool to see your subs climbing to 5000. This channel is gonna make you paper and will be referenced by e36 owners for years to come. The authenticity and lack of paper chasing make it legit. Keep up the Menace church, preach Q!......still jealous that fuego isn't in my e30eta.....some day it'll have an s52.....
@@mikeb2496 yeah man thank you! the channel is getting there, slowly like always lol. im not holding out for it to blow up, just trying to make my little corner of the world fun and better for all who find it.
You are amazing brother Not a single video speaks about the in and out stamp even google just says arrows Cause I am having fuel problems and i thought i put the filter on wrong
Well decided since i replaced the valve new and the reservoir new i might aswell do a new fuel filter thanks again Quinn your videos save me thousands straight up 👍😎😎
My fuel filter went unreplaced for many years. It wasn't until I did the head gasket project and needed to drain all of the old gas from the tank that I bothered changing it.
Hey now....I saw the state of your power steering on the engine mount video so you best not be throwing stones. In all seriousness though, I would be very interested in a power steering line replacement DIY 😬
@@marquesmcmillan283 lmaoooo im lazy to my G, I need to go in and clean that whole thing. but honestly, I think the Rack seals are starting to seep, along with the oil pan and timing cover gaskets on that car.that will honestly be one of those things that be a big project, ill probably pull the whole long block out, throw the motor on a stand and re-gasket the whole thing, redo the timing chains, possibly a head job on it and replace the rack and all that good stuff. I will say though, this alpine droptop had a power steering leak from the res. hoses, so i drained the whole system, pulled the res and re-clamped it, and will be flushing and bleeding the whole system with new fluid. i am currently working on the edit right now.
Love this video was super helpful thanks m3nace gunna attempt to replace just for the peace of mind.....Un Related here but that new alpine white E36 i got well it wont shift into park like its being blocked and wont fully lock into park any ideas .id love youre opinion on this before diving into a trans theory i just got rid of my grey bmw :[
i would take a look at the shift selector section, pulling the lever should life the black thing up so you can slide the shifter around. IMO sounds like a good reason to manual swap.
Ty bought my filter in prep for this vid and picked up both O2 sensors since I'm going under there anyway (watched that video already) thanks again Q. You're the meteforical poo💎
Ive lookd thru all ur videos and i dont see anything bout this issue with a E36 guess its sumthing not many deal with.i un did the console got the knob off but everything looks fine must ne underneath ?
Question. The fuel pump keeps running in my car even when the key is out and it drained my battery. If it’s not the relays what would you recommend checking?
Hey so I noticed my car has no built up pressure when I didn’t remove the fuse and it’s been having a hard to start problem for a while what do you think this could be?
original fuel filter? Lol i change mine every second oil change (5,000km each, so every 10,000km).. people don't appreciate cars enough :( Good video and guidance though, cheers
Hey if it's on the lift or your underneath, why not do it. Who ever buys/inherits your ride will be lucky. I rotate my tires every other oil change. Roads are terrible wear I live too though.
@@M3NACE I know right, I'm kinda crazy about cars and spend all my money on them. But re fuel filter, it does exactly that - filters the fuel and blocks any unwanted particles to go to injectors, which then can get stuck and cause all kinds of bad things to happen. And it's about $20 so eh
Great videos man. Have 97 m3 I'm saving to do an auto to manual swap on. Your videos are a great guide. Keep up the solid work
awesome man good luck with the swap! don't be afraid to comment or DM me on insta if you need further guidance or questions answered!
