I think you missed one of them... It's when you press down the accelerator between 50% to 100% and the vehicle doesn't accelerate instantly. It takes a long time to get in the rpm range and doesn't accelerate promptly. I think it's because of the low fuel flow.

Having issues with long cranks and I have a new battery, alternator, and starter. Luckily replacement parts are cheap....not so sure about the labor. Thanks for the fuel pump and filter videos
Change the fuel filter first to see if that solves the problem. NEVER let the gas tank run low, most cars fuel pumps are in the gas tank and the fuel over the pump helps keep it cool.
I have just changed the fuel filter on my car and oh boy...fuel dark as the night sky came out of it and now even when I slightly press the gas pedal the rpm go up much easier than before.
Had a fuel filter replaced on a 95 Honda Accord EX and ever since, the car starts becoming hard to turn over once, below a 1/4 tank of gas. No gas light or anything. Once filled up with gas the problem disappears, but once below a 1/4 tank of gas, the problem returns. What might cause this?
This video is really helpful but I have a question my truck has a misfire it had gone away wend I clean the injecters do you think it’s my filter because everything else is running properly
This is a very important question. I think the symptoms would present alike at the beginning and you might not know the difference at first. But as time goes on, if the filter is clogged, you might still be able to start the car after a few tries and you'd notice rough idling and poor acceleration. And if the pump is bad, it just stops pumping fuel and you might never get it to start. You might also hear a groaning noise from the pump when it's giving out. You could try cleaning or changing the filter and if the symptoms continue, then you might have a failing fuel pump that needs to be replaced.
(Rookie Mechanic) IMO, if I couldn't distinguish the problem between the fuel pump and fuel filter, I would diagnose both and let's just say you still can't determine which one is the problem, then start by replacing the one that cost the least.
Sorry, maybe his logic makes sense to non-mechinics, but a clogged fuel filter is most obvious during acceleration when the engine demands the most fuel volume. If your engine cuts-out at higher rpm only to return when you lift throttle, you most likely need a fuel filter. Don't confuse cuts-out with going flat. If the engine goes flat it is probably a bad cat or possibly the air filter.
Mine just stalled after a hard pull, hesitation then began RPM to flickering and then stalled until i just heard the starter motor click. Oil was contaminated with petrol. Suspecting fuel filter or HPFP? (Golf 6 GTI)
So I have a vehicle that won't start. It cranks. And it resets the clock. and I have to crank it a bunch and give it fuel obviously by pressing on the throttle. And then eventually it starts and revs really high and the gas gauge goes to empty and then backup to where it's supposed to be. I'm wondering what is the cause of this?

I live 50 miles away and have not been able to look at it until today, within 10 min I got it started, charged battery up and sprayed starter fluid straight into throttle body, supposedly they had tried starter fluid before, not sure where or how much they used but they could not start it. Obviously a fuel issue of some kind, I suspect possibly a dirty fuel filter, checked fuel pressure, it hits 40 psi pretty quick and does not seem to drop off after key is turned off, so wondering if its a fuel injector problem, would pressure stay high if filter was dirty ?

It’s normal. Not a stupid question. The oil is at the bottom of the engine(where the crank is ;basically the leg of the motor) on a cold start , so the engine idles a bit higher as it is dry on the top (where the valves and head are, which among are the spark plugs) to create spark to light the gasoline sprayed inside by the injectors, and as the lubrication of the oil gets there to the crank and pistons and the rods (basically the thigh and ankles of the motor) the revolutions per minute lower as it gets easier for the mechanisms up top like the lifters that lift the valves that are basically the nostrils to the motor , air goes in there what these things are lifting they are being lubricated to flow easier because the oil has been pumped through the oil passage ways that are engineered within the engine to spray or drop oil onto where it’s necessary. Air flows in and under which the head goes and connects on top of the block (the engine body itself that surrounds the crank (legs of motor) ) , at the top right under the valves are these combustion chambers because the pistons connected to the legs of the motor are creating this combustion zone that creates horse power. The valves come in here where they are being lifted by the lifters at the same timing to intake , combust and exhaust that stroke. All of this then connects to a transmission which is connected to transfer case which then goes to the differential axles into the back. (Depending on if it is RWD AWD or 4x4 selective.) a stroke means how many times the piston is going up and down in the cylinder , which the lower legs of it is recorded in the RPM gauge in your gauge cluster because it is continuously in a revolution , the higher the revolution the faster the crank spinning and then it means faster piston strokes which all equals out to more power. It’s revving high because it’s dispersing the oil and getting it up to operating temperature to maximize the oils’ lubrication performance and reduce metal to metal friction. God bless you.
Misfires but it doesn't mean the injectors or spark plugs are bad, it may mean that too much sediment has built up and is causing misfires so you would clean the fuel injectors and spark plugs first and then replace the fuel filter because if any sediments have passed the fuel filter, then the fuel filter is beyond clogged. As in the video, Top 5 Auto Repairs, the mechanic specifically mentioned "sediment build up" is a cause for misfires. This is how you will know if it's the injectors AND why the injectors are involved in the misfires. I will also add that you can find out which specific injectors are misfiring by looking up the P codes the OBDII diagnostics provides to you. If you read about the P codes for misfires, you will learn that within each code, a certain number in that P code actually tells you which cylinder within the engine the misfire is occurring in and you can pinpoint which injector and spark plug or group. Consult a professional mechanic.
