Do you think the Mi4 and the Mi6 perform the same? My local dealer said the 6 is performs way better than the 4 with depth and sensitivity but i thought the only difference was that the 6 connects to your headphones?
Everywhere I’ve researched says they have the exact performance. Mi6 has the added function of connecting to an XP detector. That is it. (Paystreak also confirmed, I had the same question before) It’s definitely a possibility that two of the same pointers have different depth detection (that’s electronics for ya) so it’s also possible that his mi6 performed better than his mi4. It’s also possible if he opened up a different mi4 box it could have performed better than his mi6.
I have 2 mi6's and 1 mi4. They all perform the same. The mi6 has a wireless module and the mi4 does not have a wireless module. I have a video a couple years back comparing the mi6 vs mi4....exactly the same performance.
I actually emailed XP the other day and they just responded exactly what paysteak said. The only difference is the mi6 connects to their detectors. Straight from XP.
I have a cheap HF Gordon Metal detector, that I bought to find property markers. Looking at the MI-6 or MI-4 right now. I don't mind spending the extra money for the MI-6, knowing I can't use the extra features at this time. I don't know if or when I will buy a better detector. What are your thoughts? Thx
The Minelabs have 2 buttons which make it harder to operate. Pushing the wrong button while tuning is a pain in the ass. One button pinpointers are much more simple, faster and more intuitive.
If you pay close attention to my videos with other pinpointers, I am tuning the pinpointers to the soil to find the targets faster as I get closer to the targets. My soil is very mineralized in most of the spots I metal detect.
Man I really appreciate this video I had been thinking about getting the mi4 because I wanted a pinpointer that is rechargeable and then the accupoint came out and I really like the screen that shows how much charge is left and I could care less about 2 separate tones I mean really I agree with you on that more like a newbie thing I'm digging because my detector says there's a good target and don't need a pinpointer saying there's a nail or iron there as well even if I had it I'd only use the single tone. Don't get me wrong I have the nokta legend and love it and will always recommend it to others as a good detector and have seen many videos of nokta other detectors with good performance but from all I'm seeing the accupoint can't even compare to my fisher f pulse performing but it's not rechargeable so watching this video and others I have decided to go with the mi4 and just keep my fisher as a backup.
I have not bought any batteries in the last 4 years. I was spending so much money every month on batteries for my detectors and pinpointers a few years ago.
I been really considering getting the Accupoint. I always wait a few months & watch tons of videos & reviews first on new released products. After watching all the videos & reviews I’ve seen one other guy that got a bad Accupoint. It was doing the exact same thing. They gave him another & it did the same thing so they gave him another & it worked properly. I’m thinking there was a bad batch. All other testers / users absolutely loved it & say they won’t be going back to any other pinpointer. I really wanted it to perform well because I really want one! After seeing your video I’m going to hold off at least for a while longer. I have noticed & all others reviews on it is showing it’s not as sensitive or deep. I already have the Garrett Carrot, Tekpoint & Pulsedive so I really don’t need another, but I thought it would be nice to connect it to headphones of my Legend so I could go all quiet at parks etc. I do hate the Pulsedive & never use it. It came with my Simplex package. The Garret has been my fav out of all so far. I had the Minelab pro find 35 & hated it also. What’s nice about the Garrett is you never have to look at the pinpointer to turn on/off. You can just feel the button with your thumb. Thanks for the videos on it. I like to see the bad with the good so I’m not getting a biased opinion on it.
The Garrett is the most ergonomic and easiest to use and probably the deepest. But the Garrett take those 9 volt batteries. I think the Accupoint was delveloped by the newbie generation. Just oo many feature that are useless on a pinpointer. A pinpointer should be simple, ergonomic and durable. We are not looking for a reinvented wheel.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak I do wish Garrett would come out with a new pinpointer that is rechargeable, but keep the EXACT same design. I’d probably never consider another. I also like the super easy & fast detune when you stick the pinpointer in the hole & it starts going off being able to detune it until it’s only hitting the target you want & you can pp the exact location.
I have the accupoint and was having issues. I relized if i turned my detector coil away or leave it arms reach away from the target it works great. If the detector is to close it will act up.
you're clearly the rookie on the accupointer. I had to learn it myself (as a new detectorist over two months now) and yeah...there's a learning curve (like with everything worth learning). I have already learned to appreciate it and it's a breeze. It has great diversity of options, and is idiotproof in my opinion right out of the box. That said, a second button, for speeding through the menu would be nice. *but it DOES still function while the menu is ticking its way back to normal mode. You don't have to sit and wait--looking at the screen. I did that at first and was frustrated too. Just get back to work as soon as you have changed whatever setting and it multitasks that shit no problem. 10:06 THIS
When you are a noob and have not used many different detectors, you become accustomed to working with really bad products. Once you use a better product that increases your productivity over your previous shitty products, you realize how shitty the previous products were. If you use a Garrett or XP pinpointer for a few hunts, you will throw that Accupoint in the garbage. The other pinpointers are not frustrating because they are simple. The Accupoint just has too many useless features nobody would have use for.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak like I said==you just want to hate on Nokta which is abundantly clear, so whatever....
