My detector doesn't wear me out, it is all the up and down on my knees and digging that wears me out and then my back says enough, and then I quit. I did have a 12''x9'' coil and went to a smaller one and when I put the bigger one back on it has heavy and hard to detect for a longer time since I wasn't used to the extra weight and needed to build up my muscles again.
I don't care for the Deus 2 because I prefer to have visual in front of me. No display turned me off to it immediately. I love my VX3 and my SIMPLEX. Different strokes for different folks. Keep swingin'.👍
You can have visual by mounting the remote or WS6 on the stem. I have the WS6 mounted on the stem and some wireless headphones. (I ran wired headphones for the first six months.) The Deus 2 is great for hunting by tones, but I still like seeing the number. My finds rate and silver rate have went way up coming from a Nox 800 and the Simplex.
There is a display on the Deus 2, I choose not to be distracted by a display. I have found thousands of silver coins and hundreds of gold rings without a display on many many detectors.
@@steveia97 I have always hunted with Whites detectors for 40+ years. Everything from Classic ID, IDX, QXT, XLT, DFX, VX3, MX SPORT... Recently purchased a Nokta Makro Simplex to have if any of the grand kids want to go. That's an impressive machine for the money. Just not $1500 worth of impressed with the Deus 2.
I too have hunted with many Whites, Tesoros, Minelabs. I did not want to spend $1500 on a Deus 2, but I did spend $800 on the Deus 2 WS6 with 9" coil. Now the price has went down to $700. All of the performance of the $1500 Deus 2 for $700. In my opinion the best performing detector that I have ever owned and without dispute the lightest detector out there.@@Tumbleweedin
I started on the legend and I have a Deus 2 now. The ergonomics of the Deus 2 are unsurpassed. But it isn't only the ergonomics, the Deus is a faster and more accurate machine. And it's more 'tunable' in use. You have lots of basic programs you can start from and then really tune them to the soil where you are hunting. But don't get me wrong, for the 600 euro that a Legend costs, it's hard to find better. But if you have the cash for a Deus 2 and it's not your first detector, go for it, you will not be disappointed.
I have both of these detectors and I can definitely say it is a world of a difference when it comes to the comfort level. im still learning the deus 2 but when im out for 5-8 hours, and my arm and shoulder doesn't hurt the next day, then to me its priceless 😂😂 that doesn't mean I don't love the legend though , that machine you can literally turn on and go and its pretty simple to use
Paystreak good video. I would add that the Deus II has the best separation of any detector in the world. I know my Legend pretty well and in our parks a Deus II will beat me every time.
If time is money... The D2 and maybe to a lessor degree the ORX with Eliptical HF coil on small gold could make up over time any added up front cost with just the sheer speed of finding and seperating targets... but its not just the detector... the dig tools and pinpointer all combined that is scoring inside the paint up under the basket... day in and day out! ... but I think we are just getting started because if we had Psychic Hotline on speed dial telling us to dig or no dig pass we could go even faster!
You are right!! It is just not the Deus to blame for a high recovery rate( targets per hour), it is all my tools(shovel, hand digger, pinpointer, boots, gloves, knees, hands) working together as a machine. If one of the moving parts of this machine is not working properly, the machine will fail. Finding the right tools to be efficient can take years. Everybody needs different tools because everybody has different abilities.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak Watching you has really helped... (getting rigged up) and for getting targets out and re-setting the plug and getting on to the next target.
The Deus machines are worlds beyond all detectors for ergonomics/comfort. I’ll gladly pay $an additional $150 for the WS6 ANYDAY. Those who doubt that should find one to use for a half a dozen hunts, then report back. And for those of us that are 50+ years old, it’s a NO brainer. I can hunt nearly all day with that machine, versus the Legend, simplex and so on. If your a young/younger you will see some day. Excellent advice.
I am getting good at using it, but remembering all the settings is difficult for me. It's an age thing, friend. Glad i have the lg24 to reduce weight tho.@@PaystreakSuperfreak
Ciao jeremy complimenti per i tuoi video e la tua competenza . Ho imparato molto da te e raccolgo sto raccolgiendo i frutti dai tuoi insegnamenti. Sei il migliore. Grazie 💪👏👍
I had 800 first 3 months love the 6 ins coil even beach in the 3months 182 2 dollar coins. 1 dollar coins 300 coins just in clad when the year rolled around it paid for itself x 5 times over then had a hunt Yeppoon beach 🏖 3800.oo dollar 💍 ring then 5 weeks later bad storms shut us down went back one solid gold bangle 1400.00 3 silver toe ring plus cald 18.00 parks never hit a high end target yet.
Very nice! My Equinox fell apart after a year, both 11" and 6" coils broke and armcuff snapped. I didn't bother to send it in for warranty. However I have found several gold rings with it.
I think the Legend coils and control box would be too much weight for the small XP shafts. The XP shafts really were not designed for a big control box. Hopefully Nokta will release another detector that has an S-shaft design. These straight shaft detectors are just such a letdown on ergonomics and comfort. Nokta and Minelab have had detectors with S-shaft designs. An S-shaft for the Legend would be perfect!!!!
Pitch has the best response to non ferrous for the most part!! I use different tones for different soils and conditions. Pitch is hard on your ears after a few hours.
The targets we dig are deep for our mineralized soil. The targets we find may seem shallow to you but in our highly mineralized soil 6" is deep. Our fields are much different than most of the rest of the country because our fields are very dense red clay that sticks to everything. In the summer it hardens like concrete and in the winter is like soft peanut butter or soup. All around my city for 20 miles is farmland, We do not have pasture here. Most of the farmland is berries, orchards and nurseries or marijuana.

Once you get past the age of 50...small lightweight detectors are frkn magical!!
As many gold rings you find, you can buy whatever you like, even if you have a closet full of old detectors!
And 150 g nuggets.

You would be surprised how similar the detectors are with performance in our soil.
Interesting. Out here it's a different story. The Deus II is amazing how well it pulls coins out of the trash, especially nickels.

If you have a bad shoulder, this is the machine you definitely want to have the movements in your hand not in your shoulder now with this machine.
Jeremy, which is easiest to learn? I find the Legend not being user friendly with too many buttons and menus to remember.
If you think the Legend has too much, The Deus is much harder to learn. If you are struggling with the Legend, TRY SINGLE FREQUENCY!!

The legend has the option to add any blutooth inc low latancy earbuds wich is more comftable then any , spaccialy in the hot summer
I use earbuds with my Deus 2 just like I did with my Deus 1!
