- I took the Nokta Accupoint out for a real hunt and compared it to my MI6 and Carrot pin-pointers. The Accupoint did really well but I think I need a little more time to make my mind up. What do you think about it?

I agree since I bought myself a Garrett AT pro all the reviews I saw usually argue, no contest to the carrot in my book!
plus my old knees are getting a bit creeky so the sooner they bleep the better!
I have the Nokta, carrot, and the MI 6 and the MI 6 is by far the deepest, and the carrot holds up the best. Only had the Nokta a few weeks, so we'll be getting it out trying it out more.
I think you will like it but I tend to fall back to the MI-6.
MI-6 is all I will ever recommend !! I've tried them all and some better than others but now I use the MI-6 exclusively
I used to think the same until the last 3 of mine had cracked caps and I flooded 2 of them.
Used a ole Garrett pin pointer for at least 30 yrs was thinking about getting a waterproof one was in ankle deep water one day and reached for the ole Garrett and it wasn’t there turned around and it was laying in the water about 10 feet back never worked right after that so now I own a Nokta I have been happy with it how deep do you really want a pin pointer to go😊

I just ordered the Legend pro pack with the banana pinpointer. I believe it can also tell the difference between Farris and non Farris metal? Be here next week. Thanks for an other great video. I also have the Manticore. Happy Hunting
My mi4 has bit the dust, ive seen some other youtubers have issues with the mi4 too
But do I ever love the pitch tones better than the beeping, even putting the mi4 on beep mode its still less annoying than other pointers
Since I'm planning to get a deus one next spring, I'm thinking I'll replace my mi4 with a mi6
I was considering the new nokta 'nanna' but it dosnt seem so special now that ive seen a few videos
I'm basically going to dig everything if I pop a plug, so I dont need a ferreous tone
If you are getting a Deus get the MI6. It will be worth it.
Will the Nokto pair with the Vanquish 540 headphones? Are those the same headphones as the Equinox 800/600?
I'm not sure but if they are low-latency headphones they should.

I’ve been looking for a new pointer to replace my slowly dying whites trx. Sucks they are no longer in production, I hoped garrett would have continued producing them after buying whites but not looking like it. I have a garrett carrot but I dunno just can’t bond with it, like the trx. So I’ve been checking out the accupoint. Sucks it doesn’t pair with the manticore. The MI6 looks cool! ..Decisions decisions
I like the MI6 a tad better than the Accupoint.

Does the accupoint come with a protective plastic sleeve like the old Nokta pin pointer
Comes with two replacement tips.
I have common age related hearing loss. As a result I have trouble hearing the MI pinpointers especially in noisy environments. I hear the Nokta best. I like the menu screen and especially the battery indicator since I am a casual hunter only hunting perhaps once a week and can never remember all of the 'button sequences' on most pinpointers. Thanks for the informative video!

I agree with you Scott. I will stick with the Carrot. Nokta will be my backup.
if it holds up better than I can see myself using more than the others. I've been using it a lot and the slight difference in sensitivity isn't enough to put it away. I'm actually really enjoying it so far.
Pairing to the Equinox 800 headphones is a selling point for me, if its similar to the carrot I want one.
Been using a carrot for years and get out 150+ times per year. Great sensitivity but the nose wears off and the button will stick. MI6 would be my second choice but have no experience and the banana seems weak although it has more functions.
I get too much falsing with the Garrett
Its not that much difference (sensitivity) than the others. If you have a Deus then I would say get the MI6 but if not, then the Banana has some appeal over the others.
@@joshualicciardello7517 Much of the falsing is due to moisture getting inside the chsmber - take a hair dryer to it occasionally
I have problems hearing my MI6 as standalone. When paired it is ok.
Plan to have Accupoint as standalone instead.
I use both detector and pinpoint to find during the dig so standalone seems better instead of paired....
Some people do have a hard time hearing the MI6, use what you must and the way that works for you.
Have you tested the iron tone setting on the Accupoint?
Yes and I'm not a big fan of it.
I'm having hard core issues with my Xterra pro, took it to the beach twice and it beeps on all areas, read the users manual but I still can't understand
What is your Sensitivity number, what do you have it set up on ???? And it's possible that you have a Bad Coil and I have heard of it and Minelab Engineering Team sent them a new Coil and he sent the old one back to Minelab....
Nokta seems you have to be right ontop target to work..but overall good😊

Kind of the idea of a pinpointer. I hate when they beep all over the hole. If I wanted to dig handuls of dirt out to look for it Id just wave that over the coil of the detector.

Your detector is meant to be what gets you depth...pin pointers are to localize dug things

I think they already are competing. XP's as of late are failing me with cracked caps. I'm not sure what is going on. I love them but they have me spooked for water use.
I was live on tiktok and had over 100 viewers watching me. It was 34 degrees outside and the accupoint failed on my first hole. Would not work. Just made a steady long beep. It worked fine in 40s and up. Had to use my old carrot for the rest of that live.

Discrimination is an uncommon feature found in pinpointers.
The Minelab Pro Find 40 has discrimaition tones.
Will this thing sync with the ws6 headphones or any of the Deus 2 headphones.

Yep that is correct you have more sensitivity controls using the remote for the MI6.
When you retire, you should work for Consumer Reports....you test everything!
