The Arcade Fire was one of the best things that happened in the 2000s. Can't believe that it's been 20 years. I still remember singing my heart out to these songs at their concerts.
Arcade Fire - *A Take Away Show* - HD Version In March 2007, we filmed the Arcade Fire playing in an elevator then in the middle of the crowd in the Olympia in Paris. This stays one of our most celebrated Take Away Shows. But the video that was on UA-cam was in SD, with poor sound and a dirty image. So we thought it might be good to offer you a better version of the movie. Enjoy it, and go listen to Reflektor, it's an amazing album #ArcadeFire #TakeAwayShow www.arcadefire.com www.blogotheque.net
J'étais dans la salle ce soir et j'en ai encore des frissons. Ce fut grandiose. Deux rappels dont un dernier avec une salle qui s'était déjà vidé en partie. Fantastique
7:16 1, 2, 3, 4 ((this is one of the greatest web videos of "all time" haha). I just saw them perform in another French city, Louisville Kentucky last week. ;-)
I cherished this video like it was one of my personal prized possession back in the day, and it still find it as powerful as I did back then. On another note, it's kind of blowing my mind that that is Colin Stetson rocking the bass clarinet during Neon Bible, a full 3-ish years before his own influence on my life came to be.
There were signs and notices all over the area that the elevator had been booked for a specific purpose, not to mention camera equipment, not to mention other elevators.
Skye Bonham So, he's justified in being a dick because he had cameras and permission to be there? He easily could've said, "Hey man, we're shooting a weird little live video in here. Would you mind using another elevator or waiting a few minutes?" The point is that he treated that random stranger like a peon, when he was probably just trying to use the elevator as it's supposed to be used.
that guy plays the magazine so emotionally
I wish there would be magazines in my school's music class
Niiiice
I always get the chills when a huge group of people are united thanks to music

This will forever be my favorite video on UA-cam

Martin Hannet begs to differ. Not me though.
Love the paper ripping percussion. Good stuff.
I was really afraid the bloke with the magazine was gonna run out of pages!

Incredible! I got goosebumbs when the whole crowd joined in.
Such a beutiful moment in time...They seem as thrilled and surprised, as we are, by what they've just done...feels so sincere...
this video is such magic
I saw them last weekend @ lollapalooza Brazil, and they are AMAZING!
There's just something about the entire band singing every lyric of this song that gets me
It's called esprit de corps.
Win Butler, world's coolest most reluctant superstar.
ah I love how they used the magazine :) brilliant!
I know right? I loved it

“Hey, let’s be the ones in the way and take up a whole elevator, but act like everyone else is in the way.” lmao
it's almost like there were signs posted around that specifically said the elevator was booked for another purpose

uno de los videoclips más poderosos que he visto
this is so beatiful, thank you
Still love this
The long single shot walk to the elevator is like the Copacabana shot in Goodfellas. Well, maybe not quite as impressive, but it's a long walk.
Awesomeness x 1000 in HD
They are just brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!
2007. No phones up in the air, everyone just enjoying the moment - no need to capture it artificially.
+MrBalloon91 just a megaphone.
+MrBalloon91 Apart from the one filming it
+MrBalloon91 You’re… watching a _video_ of the show.
+MrBalloon91 What are you talking about, there's plenty of people in the crowd holding up digital cameras and cellphones.
+MrBalloon91 live and feel the moment for itself, not for the number of like
This is amazing.
Just people LOVING music, SOUNDS good to me my fellow creatures!
Il faut que vous mettiez aussi le Take Away Show des Kooks avec quand ils font Ooh La ! :D
This reminds me of "Coming Soon" in a public toilet. Good video. :-)
Isto é tão bonito...
the best of this video is the dude ripping off that magazine at the background :')
Neon Bible Starts at 2:40, Wake up starts at 7:20
"Can you get out?"

"Signs and notices"
They also asked it nicely in French and thanked them, he phrased the question in English as simple as possible, so the Frenchman would understand him.
