      We're not just on the same page, but on the same sentence Sir😁 Many people complain about how "crap" the world is, but what do they do to improve it? Too many people enjoy making others miserable because they are in their lives. Now, we have young people that just don't know any better, because they have no moral compass. Bad parenting and social media have contributed to that in my opinion. At any rate, living a positive and productive life has always been its own reward. You know that as do I. It has been my pleasure to interact with you, and thank you again for your contributions. Stay well. 😊

      @@larrymoran_THE_CODGER thanks my friend, the pleasure is all mine and I thank you so much for being you. I try my hardest to teach my kids to be good people and I hear nothing but great things from people that are around them when I am not there and as you know, that feels amazing like you said, to know that I am leaving a good impression on the world with them and all i try to do to help others. Thanks so much for being on the same page my friend, sadly its a short sentence on that page, but hopefully we can write a story ;)

      so im going to be doing like a whole upgrade to my pc. im going to be putting this gpu in. im going to be swapping my motherboard and cpu from amd to intel. so basically the only thing that ill be keeping from my current build is the ssd now will i be losing all my data on that ssd? like windows and all my installed games, videos and pictures because im swapping the motherboard and cpu? or will all that still be on there? im just trying to do my research before i do anything. i seen a video and he said something about losing all data on the ssd when swapping cpu and motherboards. but he didnt say anything more about it. so im just wondering if you have any information on that?

      Well yes and no. So you "can" simply move your drive over and it "should" work but you will have a ton of issues and your PC will be slow. You are changing over architectures, full HAL changes and windows wont be happy with that.
      Grab yourself another drive, and copy all your data to another drive or have this drive as a secondary drive. I highly recommend you plug in a new drive, they are DIRT cheap now, A 2TB M.2 drive, but you can select one of the other 3 on there and they are cheap, off of my Amazon affiliate link: geni.us/FlAJF but if you dont have m.2 slots, you can just pick up a WD blue, they are great off of my Amazon affiliate link: geni.us/OPb2Y1T.
      From there install windows 10 or 11 (this video will show you how to make the windows 10 thumb drive free: ua-cam.com/video/C759I7DBXd8/v-deo.html and this video will show you how to install it ua-cam.com/video/sNtlz1EoWBM/v-deo.html, and this video will show you how to make the Windows 11 thumb drive free and install it ua-cam.com/video/ayp8TksEtoY/v-deo.html)
      If you need any more information, I can help.

About uninstalling the old drivers, you don't "need" to, but it's almost 100% guaranteed that you will run into issues due to the older drivers or at least performance issues. You will get a lot of push back from a lot of people, I promise you but there is no need to fight about it, since you won't have issues and they will down the road haha. @@codynathaniel1961 it is not "needed" but it is highly recommended, imaging having a straw and drinking out of it, but popping holes into it, so that your friends can stick straws into those holes and drink with you, your not going to get the same amount of drink, the same goes with power. The G6 has 6x 8pin (6+2), which means you "should" have at least 3 separate cables, with each branching off into 2, so you should be able to plug 1 PCIE cable into 1 pcie connector without having to daisy chain it. You are spending so much on the video card, treat it right.

      Sooo, the TI is NICE, but no, it definitely not worth an update from a 3080 to a 3080ti, you would gain 2 extra gigs of memory, unnoticeably faster GPU, a few mghz but the memory would have a higher bandwidth, but stepping away from specs, gaming wise, there's not a huge difference, not a server hundred dollar difference anyway, so no, stick with your 3080 and maybe wait for the next gen, my opinion at least.

    Hi, thank you so much for this helpful video. Just 1 question for anyone who can answer, I think this is normal but I want to make sure since I've seen posts about red light. I have this exact rtx 3080ti, got it about 2 weeks ago, since I first put it in my computer each time my computer is off and I power it on I see 4 little red lights above the power connectors flash for not even a second when starting the comp. All the RGB on the 80TI work perfect and no issues with the card so far but I want to make sure when I see these 4 lights flash for a split second on startup is a normal thing. Thanks for the help I gave you a like and subscription. I recently bought a rtx 3090 strix for a next build, right now I have a PSU of 750W GP-G750H with only 2 cables 6+2 and I requiere 3. My plan is to upgrade the PSU to 1000W or at least 850W but I want to test the gpu, so my doubt is, if is safe to test it using a daisy chain cable or is better to wait to avoid an issue with the power consumption?

    • @ThisBytesForYou
      @ThisBytesForYou  2 роки тому +2

      Awesome my friend, thanks so much for your support and i am so very happy you enjoyed this video and my channel. Many will play around with this, thinking its not an issue, the 3rd cable, daisy chaining it and all, trying to save a $, problem is you run the risk of not providing the card enough power when it needs it (it won't always need it), which can cause issues, sometimes death to the card. So i NEVER recommend daisy chaining it, always using 3 direct PCIE cables to the card.
      You can check in my description for the power supply i used, I have used a 1,000Watt and a 1,200 watt for over 10 years, never needed to replace it (I had 1 die, really bad thunder storm, I was testing,... and wasn't using a power strip, it was supposed to be a short test, stupid of me) many will buy a new power supply every time they upgrade, no need to when you buy right the first time.
      They are introducing a new power supply standard, not sure when but soon, for the newer video cards which are supposed to require a TON of power, I may need to upgrade then, but 10+ is good wouldn't you think ;) though i am sure there will be adapters, but i want to do it right for my system and my viewers, so i may get the new PSU when it comes out.
      thanks again so much my friend, and welcome to the family ;)

    Great instructional video you capture the detail most don't capture. You made this process a breeze for me. One bit of constructive criticism. When you go for your detailed shots on the install take your camera off of auto focus and keep it focused on the work. This simple thing would take your video from great to amazing.

      Thanks so much my friend and I love constructive criticism, I try hard to make all these look good, sometimes though the view finder lies hahah, I will try manual, but I find it difficult because I move a lot but I am working on focusing on broll for those close focused shots so I hope to improve on that. Thanks so much my friend, I really do appreciate it and I am so happy I could help you as well.

    Amazing video! I am thinking about buying this gpu but I have one question: regarding the PCIE cables which ones do you use? I only see 6pin female to 8 pin male cables but I think this gpu need 8 pins female to 8 pins male. Which one do you recommend?
    Thank you!

    • @ThisBytesForYou
      @ThisBytesForYou  2 роки тому +2

      you will need 3 x 8Pins, they could be 6+2 pins, but no matter what, all 3 need to be connected, you can check my description for the power supply I am using and thanks so much for your kind words, but if you are going to buy this card, treat it right, get a good power supply. Also, as I mention in the video, they are 3 separate pcie cables, not daisy chained.
