    Hey guys! Thanks for stopping by the video, please drop a like and subscribe if you enjoy content like this! GPU's are coming in stock at numerous different vendors so keep an eye out because EVGA has in stock GPU's for MSRP! The place I bought my GPU bundle from even has some in stock:
    www.antonline.com/Evga/Computers/Video_Cards/Graphic_Cards
    They usually offer bundles but they have a lot of GPU's sold by themselves now too, for a VERY small markup.
    Drop a comment if you have any questions and THANKS FOR WATCHING!
    Also, if you are thinking of purchasing an EVGA card, make sure you register it within 14 days of purchase so you can take advantage of all the Step Up or Elite program! Also good for warranty purposes if you ever run into a problem.

      The 12gb model at current pricing is the much better deal. $919 for the 10gb or $999 for the 12gb at microcenter. In testing the 12gb comes in neck and neck with the 3080ti typically only 1fps slower on average. The 10gb in comparison lags a dozen or more fps behind the ti.

      The GPU market is changing by the day and when I made this video, the 3080 12GB was $1,200 and the 10GB was $919. So you’re right, the time to buy is right now for sure. EVGA has a bunch of stock for GPU’s directly through them.

      @@DanKamYouKnow Personally I think they have been sitting on a huge stock of them farming them out bit by bit for maximum profits because the lhr on the 12gb is apparently very hard or even impossible to crack as per the tears of many miner videos and wouldn't sell well at the inflated miner prices. Reminds me of the early days of gaming where pretty much any pc that was marketed to run games were offered at a steep premium even though the parts were not actually all that expensive and there wasn't a real diy segment to the market yet. I know this because I worked at a small pc shop that custom built machines and we would mark that stuff up by 100 or even 200% and the early gamer kids would beg their parents to buy it. No recourse because there was no place to get the parts but us or another dealer and everyone did the same thing. Then the plug and play diy era arrived and most shops died shortly after.

      I’m pretty sure you’re right about sitting on stock because it’s just like the lumber “crisis” during COVID where lumber was very hard to find and cost double to triple the normal amount. I think the “shortage” ended much earlier than people were told and they were just sitting on a gold mine and funneling the supply in small quantities

      Hey! Thank you!!! What card(s) are you thinking of stepping up to? I jumped at the chance for a 3080 and have been super happy. Quite a huge performance jump from the 3070Ti BUT, the 3070Ti did run a bit cooler ( pulls much less wattage ). I never even thought of to try to benchmark the card without RGB, that's hilarious! I have the same GPU and CPU as you, but on the CPU I have a Noctua NH-D15 cooler and this cooler is an airflow killer... My GPU has no problem running nonstop at 80-84°C... So I undervolted this GPU and the results are amazing. Now my max temperatures are around 73° and power consumption has dropped from 380W to 290-300W. Now just wait for the EKWB 280 Elite AIO :D...

    • @DanKamYouKnow
      @DanKamYouKnow  2 роки тому

      Did you use MSI Afterburner to undervolt? With my card ( it's in a new case now ), it almost never goes over 77c and only on certain games, usually around 65-75c on most games. I wish you could under-volt in Precision X1 but you could only limit power.

    • @JustRuda
      @JustRuda 2 роки тому

      @@DanKamYouKnow Yes I use MSI Afterburner, Precision isn't that good, I use it max for RGB. As for the MSI settings, I have 1900MHz@875mV and everything runs stable. As for the temperatures in the case, that's where the Noctua is really a problem. If I take off the sidepanel of the case the temperatures drop to 65°max during undervolt... If I set the stock I get around 73-75°. That's why I figured I'd better get an AIO from EKWB that has 116CFM on the flow (my current fans have around 40CFM). The air flow should improve rapidly.
      Btw my case is BeQuiet Pure Base 500 DX, 3x 120mm fans front, 2x 140mm top, 1x 140mm ex.

    hello! since you are using the specific GPU i plan on getting along (1099$ CAD right now!) with the CPU i currently own, I have a question for you..
    if you were to stream to Twitch with this setup, is this CPU more than enough to be able to handle high-quality (1080 60FPS) streaming with no lag along with other things running in the background? if so, NVENC or x264 encoding; which do you recommend? not knowing the answer to this has really been holding me back from completing all my purchases. if not the 5600x, I'd be looking at 5900x but I feel like it's overkill. I got it for 280$ CAD with tax included so I don't want to return it since I got it on sale. if it helps, I do not own a separate PC for strict streaming purposes.
    thanks in advance

    • @DanKamYouKnow
      @DanKamYouKnow  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, the 5600x CPU is definitely more than capable of streaming! You would definitely want to choose NVENC so your GPU handles some of the load with streaming and recording. I use my 5600x and 3080 for streaming a lot and never ran into issue with streaming at 720p60FPS or 1080p60FPS. If you can find a deal for it, the 5900x is an absolute monster of a CPU and definitely not over-kill, if you are planning on multi-core work like streaming, editing, rendering, etc. Hope that helps
